આજે નારી ઉત્થાન, નારી સુરક્ષા, મહિલાઓ પર થતા બળાત્કાર-અત્યાચાર, શોષણ તેમજ અન્ય મહિલા સમસ્યાઓ પર ભાષણ કરવા કરવાની એક ફેશન બની ગઇ છે. નેતાઓ કે સમાજસેવીઓ, પછી તે પુરુષ હોય કે સ્ત્રી, દ્વારા મહિલા સમસ્યાઓના સમાધાન અંગે મસમોટા અનેક દાવાઓ પણ કરવામાં આવે છે પરંતુ વાસ્તવિકતા એ છે કે મોટાભાગના આવા દાવાઓ પોકળ નિવડયા છે. રાજ્ય સરકારો દ્વારા તેમજ કેન્દ્ર સરકાર દ્વારા પણ આ અંગે અનેક પ્રસંસનીય પ્રયાસ થઇ રહયા છે, પછી તે કાયદા કાનૂન દ્વારા હોય કે કોઇ યોજના દ્વારા, પરંતુ આ પ્રયાસો પણ ઓછા કારગર નિવડયા છે.

મહિલાઓની સમસ્યાઓમાં ઘટાડો થવાને બદલે આપણે જોઇ રહયા છીએ કે તેમાં ઉત્તરોત્તર વધારો થઇ રહ્યો છે. મહિલાઓની છેડતી, તેમના પર થતા બળાત્કાર-અત્યાચાર, તેમના સાથે અવૈધ સંબંધ, તેમનું શોષણ, ઘરેલું હિંસા, બાળકીઓને દુધપીતી કરવી, ભ્રુણહત્યા વગેરે અનેકાનેક સમસ્યાઓ વધુ વિકરાળ બનતી જાય છે. અલબત ઉપરોકત સમસ્યાઓના નિરાકરણ માટે કેટલીક એન.જી.ઓ. પણ સતત પ્રયાસ કરી રહી છે. પીડિત મહિલાના પુનર્વસન માટે પણ આવી સંસ્થાઓ દ્વારા પ્રયાસ થઇ રહયા છે. આપણા દેશના ન્યાયતંત્ર દ્વારા પણ આ અંગે અનેક કાયદાકીય જોગવાઇઓ કરવામાં આવી છે. ગુનેગારને મૃત્યુદંડ સુધીની સજા પણ કરવામાં આવે છે, પરંતુ આ બધા પ્રયાસો છતાં પરિસ્થિતિ વધુને વધુ વણસતી જઇ રહી છે તે હકીકત આપણે સ્વીકારવી જ રહી.
બીજી એક ધ્યાન દોરે તેવી બાબત બહાર આવી છે કે અત્યાચાર, શોષણ, બળાત્કાર કે ઘરેલું હિંસાના જેટલા કિસ્સાઓ આપણા દેશમાં બને છે તેમાંના ૮૦% થી ઉપરના કિસ્સાઓમાં મોટેભાગે પરિવારના સદસ્યો, સગા-સંબંધીઓ કે પાડોશીઓ સંકળાયેલા હોય છે. આવા પરિચિત વ્યકિતઓજ મહિલાઓ ઉપર અત્યાચાર કે બળાત્કાર કરે છે. જે સંબંધિત કે પારિવારિક વ્યકિતઓ પરિવારની મહિલાઓની સલામતી માટે જવાબદાર છે, તે જ તેમનું શોષણ કરે, તો કયાં જવું? વાડ પોતે જ ચિભડાં ગળે, રક્ષક પોતેજ ભક્ષક થઇ જાય તો કોને કહેવું? ઘરે ઘરે પોલીસ મુકવાનું તો સરકાર માટે પણ શક્ય નથી.

ખરેખર જો આપણે મહિલાઓની આવી સમસ્યાઓનું નિરાકરણ ઇચ્છતા હોઇએ તો સમસ્યાની ઉત્પત્તિના મૂળમાં જવું પડશે. સમસ્યાઓનું મૂળ પરિબળ લોકોની વિકૃત અને બહેકેલી માનસિકતા તેમજ વાસનાયુકત વૃત્તિઓ છે. આપણા પુરુષપ્રધાન દેશમાં પુરુષોનો અહંકાર અને આધિપત્ય પણ આ માટે જવાબદાર છે. બીજા શબ્દોમાં કહીએ તો મનુષ્ય મનુષ્ય મટી હેવાન બની ગયો છે. આજે તો ૭૦-૮૦ વર્ષની ઉંમરે પહોંચેલી વ્યકિતનો પણ વિશ્વાસ રાખી શકાય તેમ નથી. એક પિતા પોતાની પુત્રી કે પુત્રીઓ પર વારંવાર બળાત્કાર કરતો હોય એવા કિસ્સા પણ વાંચવા મળે છે. ભાઇ-બહેન વચ્ચેના દેહ સંબંધ પણ નોંધાયેલા છે. જે સમાજના પતનની ચરમસીમા સમાન છે.
એટલે સમસ્યાના સમાધાનરૂપે આપણે લોકોની માનસિકતાને, લોકોની વૃત્તિઓને, લોકોના અભિગમોને જ બદલવા પડશે. વુત્તિઓના દમનનો માર્ગ, કાયદાકીય સજાનો માર્ગ કોઇ વિશેષ સુધાર લાવી શકે નહિ. આ વાત જેટલી વહેલાં સમજી લઇએ તેટલું સારું છે. આના માટે તો આત્મજાગૃતિની તાતી જરૂરત છે. કામવૃત્તિથી વાસનાગ્રસ્ત બનેલું માનવીનું મન, પછી તે સ્ત્રી હોય કે પુરુષ, સદૈવ બહારની દુનિયામાં ભટકતું રહે છે. તેની આંખો સદા બહારના વિલાસી દ્ર્શ્યોને શોધતી રહેતી હોય છે. જો કોઇ વ્યકિત આવી વિલાસી વુત્તિઓનું કોઇ રીતે દમન કરવાનો પ્રયાસ કરે તો ફરી સંયોગ યા એકાંત મળતાં પાશવી વૃત્તિઓ ફરી જાગૃત થઇ જશે. આવા સમયે વ્યકિતની કામ-વાસના નિરંકુશ બની જાય છે.
આ માટે જો કોઇ સરળ અને સચોટ માર્ગ હોય તો તે છે અધ્યાત્મ વિજ્ઞાનની સાચી સમજ દ્વારા આત્મજાગૃતિ. જયારે વ્યકિત અધ્યાત્મ વિજ્ઞાનના શાશ્વત સિધ્ધાંતોની સમજ મેળવી અંતરદર્શન કરે છે ત્યારે તેની દ્રષ્ટિ, વૃત્તિ તેમજ કૃતિમાં સહજ પરિવર્તન આવે છે અને વિષય વાસનાઓનું ધીરે ધીરે સમન થાય છે. આત્મજ્ઞાનના આધારે વ્યકિત જયારે આત્મચિંતન, આત્મદર્શન, આત્મ વિશ્લેષણ કરે છે ત્યારે તેને પોતાનામાં રહેલી નિર્બળતાઓ, કમી, કમજોરીઓની મહેસૂસતા થાય છે. ત્યારબાદતે દેહભાનથી મુકત થઇ આત્માની સ્મૃત્તિમાં સ્થિત થઇ શકે છે. દરેક વ્યકિતને, ભલે તે પુરુષ હોય કે સ્ત્રી, તે આત્મિક દ્રષ્ટિથી જોતો થઇ જાય છે. જો આ રીતે દરેક વ્યકિત પોતાના સંસ્કારોનું સકારાત્મક પરિવર્તન કરી પોતાના જીવનને મૂલ્યનિષ્ઠ તેમજ ચરિત્રવાન બનાવે તો આપણે એક શ્રેષ્ઠ સમાજની સ્થાપના કરી શકીએ, જયાં આપણી માતાઓ, બહેનો, દિકરીઓ સલામતિ તેમજ નિર્ભયતાનો અનુભવ કરી શકશે.
વિશ્વમાં ઘણી જ જૂજ સંસ્થાઓ આ દિશામાં કામ કરી રહી છે કે જે આધ્યાત્મિક જ્ઞાનની સમજ આપી, વિશેષ ધ્યાન-યોગની તાલિમ આપી, લોકોના સંસ્કારોનું પરિવર્તન કરી મહિલાઓ પ્રત્યે સમત્વનો અને સન્માનનો ભાવ તેમજ સ્નેહભાવ ઉત્પન્ન કરતી હોય. આવી સંસ્થાઓ પૈકી સૌનું ધ્યાન ખેંચેં તેવી તેમજ મહિલાઓ માટે અલૌકિક શૈલીથી કાર્ય કરતી જો કોઇ વૈશ્વીક સંસ્થા હોય તો તે છે પ્રજાપિતા બ્રહ્માકુમારી ઈશ્વરીય વિશ્વ વિદ્યાલય. આ સંસ્થા સાથે સંલગ્ન તેની મહિલા પાંખ દ્વારા વિશ્વસ્તરે મહિલાઓની સમસ્યાના સમાધાન માટે સધન પ્રયાસો થઇ રહ્યા છે. તેમજ તેના સુંદર પરિણામો પણ મળી રહ્યા છે. સંસ્થાની ધ્યાન આકર્ષિત કરે તેવી કોઇ વિશેષતા હોય તો તે એ છે કે નારી સન્માન અને ગૌરવ અર્થે આ સંસ્થાનું સમગ્ર પ્રશાસન અને સંચાલન મહિલાઓ દ્વારા જ થઇ રહયું છે, પુરુષો નિશ્વાર્થ ભાવથી સહયોગ આપે છે. સંસ્થાને આવા બહુમૂલ્ય કાર્ય માટે ઘણાં આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય એવોર્ડ પણ મળેલ છે.
આવો, આપણે સૌ મહિલા સુરક્ષા તેમજ નારી સન્માન માટે થઇ રહેલા આધ્યાત્મિક જાગૃતિના આ પ્રયાસમાં સહયોગી બનીએ અને પરિવર્તનની શરુઆત આપણા પોતાનાથી જ કરીએ. આત્મ જાગૃતિ સાચી સમજ અને રાજયોગના નિ:શુલ્ક અભ્યાસ માટે આપના નજદીકના બ્રહ્માકુમારીઝના સેવાકેન્દ્ર પર રોજ સવારે ૮.૦૦ થી ૧૧.૦૦ અને સાંજે ૪.૦૦ થી ૭.૦૦ દરમ્યાન પધારવા હાર્દિક ઇશ્વરીય નિમંત્રણ છે..સંસ્થાનું એક ધ્યાનાકર્ષક અને યાદ રાખવા જેવું સ્લોગન છે “વિશ્વપરિવર્તનનો આધાર વ્યકિતપરિવર્તન”.
