દુબઈના જુમૈરા એમિરેટ્સ ટાવર હોટલના રૂમ નંબર 2201માં શ્રીદેવીએ 24 ફેબ્રુઆરી મતલબ ગુરૂવારની બપોરે ચેક ઈન કર્યુ. ત્યારબાદ આગલા 48 કલાક સુધી તે પોતાના રૂમમાં એકલી જ રહી. એકવાર પણ બહાર ન આવી. રૂમમાંથી બહાર નીકળી તો બસ તેના તેના મોતની સ્ટોરી... આ સમાચાર પણ એક ડોક્ટરે આપ્યા.

હોટલના બાથટબમાં શ્રીદેવીને બેહોશીમાં જોયા પછી એ ડોક્ટરે જણાવ્યુ કે તેમનુ મોત થઈ ચુક્યુ છે. કારણ બતાવ્યુ કાર્ડિયેટ અરેસ્ટ. પણ 48 કલાક પછી પોસ્ટમોર્ટમ રિપોર્ટ મોતનુ કારણ બાથટબમાં ડૂબવુ બતાવે છે. પોલીસ એ જાણવા માંગે છે કે આ ડોક્ટરની એક ભૂલ હતી કે પછી રહસ્ય કંઈક બીજુ જ છે ?

શ્રીદેવીના મોતના આટલા બધા જે કારણો સામે આવ્યા તેને લઈને કોઈ પરિણમ સુધી પહૉચતા પહેલા બે વસ્તુ જાણી લો. પહેલી એ કે દુબઈ પોલીસે સ્પષ્ટ કહી દીધુ છે કે શ્રીદેવીનુ મોત એક દુર્ઘટના છે. કોઈ ષડયંત્ર નહી. અને બીજુ એ કે છતા પણ તેમના મોતની તપાસ કરવામાં આવશે. તેના અંગે તેમના નિકટના દરેક લોકોની પૂછપરછ કરવામાં આવશે.

તેમના પતિ બોની કપૂરની તો રવિવાર અને સોમવારના રોજ દુબઈ પોલીસે પૂછપરછ પણ કરી છે. શ્રીદેવીના મોતની તપાસ દુબઈ પોલીસથી લઈને દુબઈ પબ્લિક પ્રાસીક્યૂશનને સોંપી દેવામાં આવી છે. હવે આવો જાણીએ કે છેવટ 24 ફેબ્રુઆરી મતલબ શનિવારે દુબઈના જુમૈરા એમિરેટ્સ ટાવર હોટલના રૂમ નંબર 2201માં શુ થયુ હતુ ?

ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે શ્રીદેવી આ હોટલમાં બે દિવસ પહેલા જ આવી હતી. એ પહેલા એ દુબઈના કરીબ રસલ ખેમામાં હતી. ત્યા તેમના પતિ બોની કપૂરના ભાણેજના લગ્ન હતા. લગ્ન પછી બોની કપૂર અને તેમની નાની પુત્રી મુંબઈ પરત આવ્યા હતા. જ્યારે કે શ્રીદેવી દુબઈમાં જ રોકાઈ ગઈ. દુબઈમાં શ્રીદેવીની બહેન પણ રહે છે.

હોટલ સ્ટાફ મુજબ શ્રીદેવી 48 કલાક સુધી હોટલના પોતાના રૂમમાંથી બહાર નીકળી નહોતી. આ દરમિયાન તે સતત એકલી જ હતી. બીજી બાજુ બોની કપૂર ભારત પરત ફર્યા પછી લખનૌ જતા રહ્યા હતા. જ્યા ઈનવેસ્ટર સમિટ હતી. લખનૌથી પરત ફરી તેઓ મુંબઈ આવ્યા. મુંબઈમાં તેમના એક મિત્ર શેટ્ટીનો જન્મ દિવસ હતો.

ત્યારબાદ 24 ફેબ્રુઆરીના બપોરની ફ્લાઈટથી તેઓ પરત દુબઈ આવ્યા છે. તેમના દુબઈ આવવા અંગે શ્રીદેવી જાણતી નહોતી. મોડી સાંજે તે હોટલ પહોંચીને શ્રીદેવીને સરપ્રાઈઝ આપે છે. આ દરમિયાન લગભગ એ સમયે બોની કપૂરના ભાઈ સંજય કપૂર દુબઈથી મુંબઈ પરત આવી રહ્યા હોય છે. તેમની પણ શ્રીદેવી સાથે કોઈ મુલાકાત થતી નથી.

હવે હોટલની રૂમની અંદર બે સ્ટોરી છે. એક સ્ટોરી કહે છેકે બોની કપૂર પહેલા હોટલ પહોંચે છે. શ્રીદેવી સાથે થોડીવાર વાત કરે છે અને પછી શ્રીદેવીને બહાર ડિનર પર લઈ જવા માટે તૈયાર થવાનુ કહે છે. આ પછી શ્રીદેવી બાથરૂમમાં જાય છે. પણ જ્યારે પંદર મિનિટ સુધી દરવાજો નથી ખુલતો તે તે દરવાજો નોક કરીને તેને બોલાવે છે.

છતા પણ દરવાજો નથી ખુલતો તો તે ધક્કો મારીને દરવાજો ખોલે છે. શ્રીદેવી અંદર બાથટબમાં બેહોશ પડી હતી. ત્યારબાદ બોની કપૂર પહેલા પોતાના એક મિત્ર અને પછી પોલીસને ફોન કરે છે. બીજી સ્ટોરી એ છે કે જે સમયે શ્રીદેવી બાથરૂમમાં ગઈ ત્યારે બોની કપૂર હોટલમાં જ નહોતા. શ્રીદેવીએ રૂમ સર્વિસને ફોન કરીને પીવાનુ પાણી મંગાવ્યુ હતુ.

ત્યારબાદ તે બાથરૂમમાં જતી રહી. થોડીવાર પછી જ્યારે હોટલનો સ્ટાફ પાણી લઈને આવ્યો તો ઘણી બેલ વગાડવા છતા પણ દરવાજો ખુલ્યો નહી તો તેઓ પોતે જ રૂમમાં આવી ગયા. ત્યારબાદ તેમણે જોયુ કે શ્રીદેવી બાથટબમાં બેહોશ પડી છે. ત્યારબાદ તેમણે જ હોટલ અને પછી પોલીસને આના સમાચાર આપ્યા.

જો કે દુબઈ પોલીસે રિપોર્ટ આપી છે કે શ્રીદેવીના મોતનુ કારણ પાણીમાં ડૂબવુ છે. પણ આ અંતિમ રિપોર્ટ નથી. આ મામલાની તપસ કરી રહેલ દુબઈ પબ્લિક પ્રોસિક્યૂશનનું કહેવુ છે કે પાંચ વસ્તુઓની તપાસ પૂરી થયા પછી કોઈ પરિણામ પર પહોંચી શકાય છે. પોલીસ જાણવા માંગે છે કે અંતિમ ક્ષણોમાં રૂમ નંબર 2201માં શુ થયુ હતુ ?

શ્રીદેવીએ આલ્કોહોલ જાતે જ લીધુ હતુ કે પછી કોઈએ જાણી જોઈને વધુ પીવડાવી દીધી હતી ? બાથટબમાં પાણી છલોછલ કેવી રીતે ભરાય ગયુ હતુ ? બાથટબમાં શ્રીદેવીને બેહોશ જોઈને બોની કપૂરે પોલીસ કે હોટલ સ્ટાફને ફોન કરવાને બદલે પોતાના મિત્રને સૌ પહેલા ફોન કેમ કર્યો ? જો કે દુબઈ પોલીસ શ્રીદેવીના મોતને એક દુર્ઘટના બતાવી રહી છે.

શ્રીદેવી એક જીંદાદિલ અભિનેત્રી હતી. તેની ફિલ્મો પરથી કહી શકાય છે કે તે ખૂબ હસમુખ સ્વભાવની અને મહેનતુ હતી. તેની દરેક ફિલ્મમાં દરેક વખતે એક નવી શ્રીદેવી સાથે પરિચય થયો હોય એવુ લાગતુ હતુ.... તેની પહેલાની ફિલ્મ સદમા જોઈ લો કે લેટેસ્ટ ફિલ્મ ઈગ્લિશ વિંગ્લિશ કે મોમ જોઈ લો. તેની અભિનય ક્ષમતા સામે ભલભલા પોતાના મોઢામાં આંગળા નાખી રહ્યા હતા. શ્રીદેવી પોતાની જેમ જ પોતાની દિકરી જાહ્નવીને પણ ફિલ્મી દુનિયામાં લાવવા માંગતી હતી. તે પોતાની દિકરીઓ પર ઘણી મહેનત કરી રહી હતી. દરેક જગ્યાએ તે પૂર્ણ પરિવાર સાથે જોવા મળતી હતી. આવામાં એકાએક તેનુ મૃત્યુ થતા અનેક પ્રશ્નો ઉભા થયા છે. અત્યાર સુધી હાર્ટ એટેક પર વાત હતી ત્યા સુધી તો ઠીક હતુ પણ જેવુ જ દુબઈ પોલીસે પોસ્ટ મોર્ટમ રિપોર્ટમાં કારણ જુદુ આપ્યુ તો લોકોએ એક મહાન અભિનેત્રી પર અનેક પ્રકારની શંકા સેવવા માંડી. મોટાભાગના મીડિયાવાળાઓએ લખ્યુ કે તે ખૂબ દારૂનુ સેવન કરતી હતી તેથી તે નશામાં પડી ગઈ. શુ માત્ર શંકા પરથી જ આવી મહાન કલાકાર પર ઈલ્ઝામ લગાવવો યોગ્ય છે. શુ આપણે તેમણે એક કલાકારના રૂપમાં શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ નથી આપી શકતા. કેમ આપણે કોઈના વ્યક્તિગત જીવનમાં પૂર્ણ ઘુસી જઈને તેમના જીવનના એક એક ફોતરા કાઢવા પાછળ લાગી જઈએ છીએ. બોની કપૂર ત્યા હતા તો લોકોએ તેમના પર પણ શક કરવાનુ બાકી નથી રાખ્યુ. કમી કે ઉણપ દરેકના જીવનમાં હોય છે.. આપણે માણસ છીએ અને માણસ માત્ર ભૂલને પાત્ર. કોઈ સેલીબ્રિટી હોય તો એવુ નથી કે તેનામાં કોઈ કમી ન હોવી જોઈએ. તેથી મીડિયાએ શ્રીદેવીને પણ એક કલાકારને છાજે તેવી જ શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ આપવી જોઈએ.
