અમદાવાદ: ગુજરાતના રાજ્યપાલ આચાર્ય દેવવ્રતે ગાંધીનગર ખાતે સુભાષ પાલેકર પ્રાકૃતિક કૃષિ કાર્યશાળાને ગુજરાત પ્રદેશના કિસાનોની ઉન્નતિ માટેનો અભૂતપૂર્વ નિર્ણય ગણાવ્યો હતો. તેમણે જણાવ્યું કે, હિમાચલ પ્રદેશના રાજ્યપાલ તરીકેના તેમના કાર્યકાળ દરમિયાન પ્રાકૃતિક કૃષિ સાથે ૫૦૦ કિસાનોને જોડવા પ્રયાસ કર્યો અને જોતજોતામાં ૧૦ હજાર કિસાનો આ કૃષિ સાથે જોડાઇ ગયા. હરિયાણામાં ૨૦૦ એકર જમીન અને ૩૦૦ ગાય સાથે રાસાયણિક ખેતી થતી ત્યારે કૃષિ ખર્ચ દર વધતો ગયો અને ઉત્પાદન ઘટ્યું-ફળદ્રુપતા ઘટી તેથી જૈવિક કૃષિ તરફ વળવાનું નક્કી કર્યું. તેમાં પણ ઉત્પાદન વધ્યું નહીં. ત્યારબાદ સુભાષ પાલેકરજીના સંપર્કમાં આવ્યા બાદ પ્રાકૃતિક ખેતી અપનાવી તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, અમેરીકન ડૉ. એલ્બર્ટ હાર્વડને વર્ષ ૧૯૩૧માં ભારતમાં આવીને ઓર્ગેનિક-જૈવિક ખેતીનો પ્રચાર કર્યો હતો જે ભારતની મૂળ પદ્ધતિ નથી.

જૈવિક ખેતીમાં એક એકર જમીનમાં ૬૦ કિલો નાઇટ્રોજન જોઇએ. એક એકરમાં ૩૦૦ ક્વિન્ટલ છાણીયું ખાતર જોઇએ. એ માટે ૧૫ જેટલાં પશુધન જોઇએ અથવા ૧૫૦ ક્વિન્ટલ વર્મી કમ્પોષ્ટ જોઇએ. આ બધુ અશક્ય છે. આટલું પશુધન પણ નથી. આટલા છાણિયા ખાતરથી મિથેન-અન્ય ગેસનું પ્રદષણ થાય છે. ઓર્ગેનિક અર્થાત જૈવિક ખેતીમાં ત્રણ વર્ષ સુધી ઉત્પાદન ઘટે છે કૃષિ ખર્ચ વધે છે. પાંચ વર્ષ સુધી ઓર્ગનિક ખેતી કરી પણ સંતાોષ નથયો. આજે જૈવિક-ઓર્ગેનિકના નામે કેટલાંય ધંધા થાય છે. બધી જ પદ્ધતિમાં ખેડૂતોના ખિસ્સામાંથી પૈસા જાય છે. ખેડૂતોની લૂંટ ચાલતી રહી. ગામના પૈસા ગામમાં, શહેરના પૈસા પણ ગામમાં આવે તેવો રસ્તો જોઇએ. આ રસ્તો સુભાષ પાલેકરે પ્રાકૃતિક કૃષિ દ્વારા આપ્યો છે.

રાજ્યપાલે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, બધી કૃષિ પદ્ધતિમાં ખેડૂતોને જ અંતે સહન કરવાનું આવે છે. ખેડૂત દેવાદાર બન્યો અને આત્મહત્યા તરફ વળ્યો. તેમણે ઉમેર્યું કે, પાલેકરજીની ખેતીમાં એક ગાય દ્વારા ૩૦ એકરની ખેતી થઇ શકે છે. રાજ્યપાલશ્રીએ દેશી ગાયના છાણ-ગૌ મૂત્ર, ગોળ, બેસન અને માટીના મિશ્રણથી તૈયાર થતું જીવામૃત - ચાર દિવસમાં તૈયાર થાય છે. તેના લાભ પણ દર્શાવ્યા હતા. દેશી ગાયના એક ગ્રામ છાણમાં ૩૦૦ કરોડ જીવાણુ હોય છે. આ જીવાણું જ કૃષિ માટે અગત્યના છે. જીવામૃત - ઘન જીવામૃતમાં આવા કરોડો જીવાણુઓ હોય છે. જે કૃષિ પાકના મૂળ સાથે સહજીવન કરી પાકને પોષણ આપે છે.
દુનિયામાં આનાથી શ્રેષ્ઠ પદ્ધતિ કોઇ નથી. તેમ જણાવી તેમણે પોતાની ૨૦૦ એકર જમીનમાં થઇ રહેલી પાલેકર ખેતી અંતર્ગત એક રૂપિયાનો સામાન બજારમાંથી ખરીદ્યા વિના શ્રેષ્ઠ ઉત્પાદન મેળવવામાં આવે છે. તેમણે પ્રાકૃતિક કૃષિ જ ભારતની પરંપરાગત કૃષિ હોવાનું તેમજ ખેતી અને ખેડૂતોના સર્વાંગી વિકાસ માટે સુભાષ પાલેકર પ્રાકૃતિક કૃષિ જ શ્રેષ્ઠ ઉપાય છે. તેમણે આવનારી પેઢીને ઉપજાઉ જમીન વારસામાં આપવા પાણીની બચત, પર્યાવરણની રક્ષા, દેશી ગાયની રક્ષા, રોગમુક્ત સ્વસ્થ જીવન અને ખેતી-ખેડૂતના સર્વાંગી કલ્યાણ માટે પ્રાકૃતિક કૃષિ અપનાવવા રાજ્યના ખેડૂતોને અનુરોધ કર્યો હતો. તેમણે આ સંદર્ભમાં કહ્યું કે, ગુજરાતે વિકાસના બહુધા ક્ષેત્રોમાં લીડ લીધી છે. કૃષિ ક્ષેત્રે પણ ડબલ ડિઝીટ ગ્રોથ સાથે અગ્રેસર છે. હવે સસ્ટેઇનેબલ ડેવલપમેન્ટ માટે પ્રકૃતિની સાથે રહીને વિકાસ કરવાની દિશા અપનાવી છે.
વિજય રૂપાણીએ પદ્મશ્રી સુભાષ પાલેકર પ્રેરિત આ પ્રાકૃતિક કૃષિ કાર્યશાળાના ગુજરાતમાં આયોજનને રાઇટ જોબ એટ રાઇટ ટાઇમ ગણાવી હતી. મુખ્યમંત્રીએ કહ્યું કે, કૃષિ ક્ષેત્રે રાસાયણિક ખાતરોનો ઉપયોગ ઘટાડી પ્રાકૃતિક ખેતી દ્વારા જગતના તાતને વાસ્તવમાં જગતનો તાત બનાવવામાં આ કાર્યશાળા માર્ગદર્શક બનશે. વિજય રૂપાણીએ ઉમેર્યુ કે ‘‘છોડમાં રણછોડ’’ અને ‘‘જીવમાં શિવ’’ની માન્યતા ધરાવતી આપણી સંસ્કૃતિમાં પ્રાકૃતિક સંતુલન અને સામંજસ્યને ધ્યાનમાં રાખી પ્રકૃતિ-કુદરતનો શોષણ નહિ, દોહનનો ભાવ રહેલો છે.
મુખ્યમંત્રીએ ગુજરાતમાં ગ્રીન એન્ડ કલીન એનર્જી, જળસંચય દ્વારા ભૂગર્ભ જળસ્તર ઊંચા લાવવાની સિધ્ધિ, ધૂમાડા રહિત યાતાયાત વ્યવસ્થા અને પ્લાસ્ટિકમુકત ગુજરાતને સાકાર કરી હેપીનેસ ઇન્ડેક્ષ વૃધ્ધિમાં આગળ વધવાની નેમ દર્શાવી હતી. તેમણે પ્રાકૃતિક કૃષિ પણ સ્વચ્છ-સ્વસ્થ-સમૃદ્ધ રાજ્ય-રાષ્ટ્રના નિર્માણમાં અને પ્રદૂષણમુકતી સાથે પર્યાવરણ જાળવણીમાં અહેમ ભૂમિકા ભજવશે તેવો વિશ્વાસ દર્શાવ્યો હતો.
