જાપાને જાહેરાત કરી છે કે, ખેલાડીઓ ખાલી સ્થળોએ સ્પર્ધાઓમાં ભાગ લેશે જેથી મહામારીના કારણે તેમના આરોગ્ય સંબંધિત કોઇપણ જોખમો ઓછા કરી શકાય. દરેક દેશમાંથી માત્ર છ અધિકારીઓને આ કાર્યક્રમમાં ભાગ લેવાની મંજૂરી આપવામાં આવી છે. જોકે, એથલેટ્સ માટે સંખ્યાની કોઇ મર્યાદા નક્કી કરવામાં આવી નથી. પરંતુ, રમતના ચાહકોને આ વખતે પરેડમાં ભાગ લઇ રહેલી ટીમો ઘણી નાની જોવા મળશે.
માર્ચ પાસ્ટ એટલે કે સમારંભની પરેડમાં જાપાની આલ્ફાબેટ અનુસાર ભારત 21મા ક્રમે છે. આ વખતે ભારતે અત્યાર સુધીમાં સૌથી મોટી ઓલિમ્પિક્સના સ્પર્ધકોની ટીમ મોકલી છે. આ વખતના ખેલાડીઓના દળમાં કુલ 228 સભ્યો છે અને 22 રાજ્યોમાંથી કુલ 127 એથલેટ્સ અલગ અલગ 18 રમતો જેમકે, તીરંદાજી, એથલેટિક્સ, બોક્સિંગ, બેડમિંટન, ઘોડેસવારી, ફેન્સિંગ, ગોલ્ફ, જિમ્નાસ્ટિક્સ, હોકી, જુડો, રોવીંગ, શૂટિંગ, સેઇલિંગ, સ્વિંમિગ, ટેબલ ટેનિસ, ટેનિસ, વેઇટલિફ્ટિંગ, કુસ્તીમાં ભાગ લઇ રહ્યાં છે.

કેન્દ્રીય યુવા બાબતો અને રમતગમત મંત્રી અનુરાગ ઠાકુરે લોકોને તેમના મિત્રો અને પરિવારજનો સાથે વીડિયો બનાવીને સોશિયલ મીડિયા પર #HumaraVictoryPunch હૅશટેગ સાથે શેર કરીને ભારતનું પ્રતિનિધિત્વ કરી રહેલા આપણા એથલેટ્સને સમર્થન આપવા માટે અનુરોધ કર્યો હતો.
અનુરાગ ઠાકુરે એક ટ્વીટમાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે, ભારતની ઓલિમ્પિક્સની ટીમને સમર્થન આપવા માટે નાગરિકો વીડિયો બનાવી શકે છે અને પાંચ લોકોને તેમાં ટેગ કરી શકે છે તેમજ તેમના વીડિયો શેર કરવા માટે પણ તેમને આમંત્રણ આપી શકે છે. તેમણે #Cheer4India ને એક જન આંદોલન બનાવવાનો પણ લોકોને અનુરોધ કર્યો હતો. અનુરાગ ઠાકુરે તેમના ટ્વીટર હેન્ડલ પર એક વીડિયો પોસ્ટ કર્યો હતો અને પાંચ લોકોને તેમાં ટેગ કર્યા હતા. તેમણે કાયદા અને ન્યાય મંત્રી કિરેન રિજીજુ, ક્રિકેટર વિરેન્દ્ર સહેવાગ, અભિનેતા અક્ષય કુમાર, બેડમિંટન ખેલાડી સાનિયા નહેવાલ અને પેટીએમના સ્થાપક વિજય શંકર શર્માને નામાંકિત કર્યા હતા.
દૂરદર્શન અને ઓલ ઇન્ડિયા રેડિયો પર ઓલિમ્પિક્સનું કવરેજ
આવતીકાલથી ટોક્યોમાં શરૂ થઇ રહેલા વિશ્વના સૌથી મોટા રમતોત્સવનું મેગા કવરેજ પ્રસાર ભારતી દ્વારા તેમના દૂરદર્શન અને ઓલ ઇન્ડિયા રેડિયોના ટ્વીન નેટવર્ક દ્વારા કરવામાં આવશે અને સમર્પિત સ્પોર્ટ્સ ચેનલ DD સ્પોર્ટ્સ પર તેનું કવરેજ આપવામાં આવશે. ઓલિમ્પિક્સ પહેલાંથી લઇને ત્યારપછી સુધીના તમામ સમય સુધી આ કવરેજને વિસ્તારવામાં આવ્યું છે અને સમગ્ર દેશમાં પ્રસાર ભારતીના ટીવી, રેડિયો અને ડિજિટલ પ્લેટફોર્મ પર તે ઉપલબ્ધ રહેશે.
'ચીઅર ફોર ઇન્ડિયા' અભિયાનમાં યોગદાન આપવા માટે, ટોક્યો ઓલિમ્પિક્સ 2020ના પૂર્વવર્તી કાર્યક્રમ તરીકે DD સ્પોર્ટ્સ 4 કલાકથી વધારે લાંબો ચર્ચા આધારિત શો પ્રોડ્યૂસ કરશે જેમાં રમતજગતની હસ્તીઓ સામેલ રહેશે. આ વિશેષ શોનું 22 અને 23 જુલાઇ, 2021ના રોજ સવારે 11.00 થી બપોરે 1.00 વાગ્યા સુધી DD સ્પોર્ટ્સ પર જીવંત પ્રસારણ કરવામાં આવશે. દરરોજ, અલગ અલગ થીમ પર આધારિત બે જુદા જુદા સત્રો યોજવામાં આવશે. 22 જુલાઇના બે શોનું DD સ્પોર્ટ્સ પર એજ દિવસે સાંજે 7.00 થી 9.00 સુધી અને બીજા દિવસ એટલે કે 23 જુલાઇના રોજ સવારે 9.00 થી 11.00 વાગ્યા સુધી પુનઃપ્રસારણ કરવામાં આવશે.
