નેહાનો જન્મ ઉત્તરાખંડના ઋષિકેશમાં 6 જૂન 1988 ને થયું હતું. તેની મા નો નામ નિતિ ચે અને પિતાનો નામ ઋષિકેશ કક્કડ છે. નેહાએ માત્ર 4 વર્ષની ઉમ્રથી જ ગાવું શરૂ કરી દીધું હતું.

તે તેમની મોટી બેન સોનૂ કક્કડની સાથે માતાની ચૌકીમાં ભજન ગાતી હતી. પછી નેહાએ ફેમેલી સાથે દિલ્હી શિફ્ટ થઈ ગઈ. નેહાને અભ્યાસના સમયે ઈંડિયન ઑયડલામાં ભાગ લેવાનો અવસર મળ્યું. નેહા ઈંડિયન આઈડલ-2 (2006)માં કંટેસ્ટેંટ હતી. પણ તે ફાઈનલમાં નહી પહોંચી શકી.

નેહાએ ઋષિકેશમાં ઘર બનાવ્યું. અહીં હનુમંત પુરમ ગલી નંબર 3માં બનેલા ભવ્ય આશિયાનાનો ગૃહ પ્રવેશ તેને 8 ફેબ્રુઆરી 2019ને કર્યું હતું. તેની સાથે જ નેહાએ એક મર્સિડીજ કાર પણ ખરીદી.
