: બિન અનામત વર્ગના વિદ્યાર્થીઓને ઉચ્ચશિક્ષણ મળી રહે તે માટે કેન્દ્ સરકાર દ્વારા ૧૦ ટકા આર્થિક અનામત આપવાનો નિર્ણય કર્યો છે તેનો ગુજરાતે સૌ પ્રથમ અમલ કર્યો નાયબ મુખ્યમંત્રી નીતિન પટેલે જણાવ્યું હતું. ચાલુ વર્ષથી જ ગુજરાતના બિન અનામત વર્ગના વિદ્યાર્થીઓને મેડીકલ શિક્ષણમાં પ્રવેશ અપાશે. આ ઉપરાંત દાદરાનગર હવેલી ખાતેની સરકારી મેડિકલ કોલેજમાં ૧૦ બેઠક ગુજરાતના વિદ્યાર્થીઓથી ગુજરાતની મેડીકલ પ્રવેશ સમિતિ પ્રવેશ અપાશે.
નીતિન પટેલે ઉમેર્યું હતું કે, વર્ષ-૨૦૧૯-૨૦માં મેડિકલ પ્રવેશ માટેના નિયમોમાં પણ આ વર્ષથી રાજ્ય સરકાર દ્વારા સુધારા કરાયા છે તે મુજબ પ્રવેશ પ્રક્રિયા હાથ ધરાશે. રાજ્યમાં મેડીકલ પ્રવેશ માટે MBBS, BDS, BAMS, આયુર્વેદ, હોમિયોપેથી અને નેચરોપેથી માટે ઓનલાઇન રજીસ્ટ્રેશનની કામગીરી માટે પીન વિતરણ તા.૧૭.૦૬.૨૦૧૯ થી તા.૨૩.૦૬.૨૦૧૯ દરમ્યાન એક્સીસ બેંકમાંથી કરવામાં આવશે. દીવ, દમણ અને દાદરા નગર હવેલી માંથી ગુજરાતનાં મેડીકલ પ્રવેશ નિયમો મુજબ ધોરણ-૧૨ પાસ કરેલ વિદ્યાર્થીઓને ડોમીસાઈલ સર્ટીફિકેટ રજૂ કરવામાંથી ગત વર્ષ ૨૦૧૮-૧૯ પુરતી મુક્તિ આપી હતી અને મેડીકલ પ્રવેશ સમિતિની તમામ બેઠકો પર લાયક ગણીને પ્રવેશ આપવામાં આવ્યો હતો.

વર્ષ ૨૦૧૯-૨૦ માટે પણ દીવ, દમણ અને દાદરા નગર હવેલી નાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓ કે જેઓ ગુજરાતનાં મેડીકલ પ્રવેશ નિયમો મુજબ ગુજરાત બોર્ડમાં ધોરણ-૧૨ પાસ કર્યું હોય તો તેઓને ડોમીસાઈલ સર્ટીફિકેટ રજૂ કરવામાંથી મુક્તિ આ વર્ષે પણ અપાશે. આ ઉપરાંત, વર્ષ ૨૦૧૯-૨૦ થી દાદરા નગર હવેલી ની પણ ૧૫૦ સીટની સરકારી મેડીકલ કોલેજ શરૂ થઇ છે અને તેઓએ આ સરકારી મેડીકલ કોલેજ ની ૧૦ સીટ ગુજરાતની પ્રવેશ સમિતિને ગુજરાતનાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે ફાળવી દીધી છે. જેના પર ગુજરાતની મેડીકલ પ્રવેશ સમિતિ પ્રવેશ આપશે.
નીતિન પટેલે કહ્યું હતું કે, વર્ષ-૨૦૧૭ થી ધોરણ-૧૦ ગુજરાતમાં મેડીકલ પ્રવેશ માટે ફરજીયાત કર્યું હતું. વર્ષ-૨૦૧૮ માં ઘણાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ ધોરણ-૧૦ ફરજીયાત ન કરવાં રજૂઆત કરી હતી. જેને ધ્યાને લઇને વિદ્યાર્થીઓના હિતમાં રાજ્ય સરકાર દ્વારા પ્રવેશ નિયમોમાં વર્ષ-૨૦૧૮ માં પણ ધોરણ-૧૦ ગુજરાતમાંથી પાસ ન કરેલ હોય, પરંતુ ધોરણ-૧૨ ગુજરાત રાજ્યમાંથી પાસ કરેલ હોય અને ડોમીસાઈલ ગુજરાતનું સર્ટીફિકેટ ધરાવતાં હોય તેવાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓને મેડીકલ પ્રવેશ માટે લાયક ગણ્યા હતાં. વર્ષ ૨૦૧૯-૨૦માં પણ વાલીઓની રજુઆતને ધ્યાને રાખીને જે વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ ધોરણ-૧૦ ગુજરાત બહારથી કરેલ હોય અને ધોરણ-૧૨ ગુજરાત રાજ્યમાંથી પાસ કરેલ હોય તેમજ ડોમીસાઈલ સર્ટીફિકેટ ધરાવતાં હોય તેવાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓને પણ આ વર્ષે મેડીકલમાં પ્રવેશ અપાશે.
તેમણે ઉમેર્યું કે, રાજ્યમાં એમ.બી.બી.એસ.ની આજે અંદાજે ૫૦૦૦ જેટલી બેઠકો ઉપલબ્ધ છે. જેની પ્રવેશ પ્રક્રિયા ટુંક સમયમાં શરૂ થશે. આ ઉપરાંત ડેન્ટલ, આર્યુર્વેદિક, હોમીયોપેથી અને નેચરોપેથીમાં પણ લગભગ ૫૦૦૦ જેટલી બેઠકો છે. આ તમામ કોર્સમાં હજારો વિદ્યાર્થીઓને પ્રવેશ અપાશે. આવા વિદ્યાર્થીઓની સરળતા માટે જે વિદ્યાર્થીનો જન્મ ગુજરાત રાજયમાં થયો હોય અને તે વિદ્યાર્થીએ ધોરણ-૧૨ ની પરીક્ષા ગુજરાતના માન્ય બોર્ડમાંથી પાસ કરેલ હોય, તેઓને ડોમીસાઇલ સર્ટીફીકેટ રજુ કરવાની જરૂરીયાત રહેશે નહીં. આ સિવાયના ગુજરાત રાજયના બહાર જન્મેલ વિદ્યાથીઓએ પ્રવેશ માટે ડોમીસાઇલ સર્ટીફીકેટ ફરજીયાત લાવવાનું રહેશે, તેમ તેમણે ઉમેર્યું હતું.
