આશરે 72 કલાક, 1 પલટન અને 600 થી વધુ દુશ્મનોને ખતમ કરવાના સંઘર્ષની. આ યુદ્ધની વાર્તા BUM-LA PASS મિશન પર આધારિત છે જે થ્યું હતું 21 ઓક્ટોબર, 1962 ના રોજ ભારતના ખૂબ જ સુંદર ઉત્તર-પૂર્વીય પ્રદેશ - તવાંગમાં . સુબેદાર તેમના સૈનિકોને વિશ્વાસઘાતી દુશ્મનો સામે NEFA ભૂમિ પર માર્ચિન્ગના ઓર્ડર્સ મળ્યા હતા. જ્યાં પ્રથમ વખત તેઓ ચીનના સૈન્યના યુદ્ધનો સામનો કર્યો હતો અને આ દિવસે તેઓ ચિની હુમલાના ભારે હુમલા હેઠળ હતા. સુબેદારના પલટનને મારવા ચિની યોજના મુજબ આશરે 200 સૈનિકોની 3 ટુકડીઓ મોકલવામાં આવી હતી , પરંતુ તેમને દુશ્મનનો નાશ કરવા માટે તેમને ભારતીય સૈનિકોની ક્ષમતા વિશે જાણ ન હતી. સુબેદાર અને તેના સાથી સૈનિકોએ 2 દુશ્મનોના દળને કચડી દીધા હતા, જોકે સુબેદારની પલટનના અડધા સૈનિકો તેમાં શહાદત પણ પ્રાપ્ત થયા હતા. તેઓ ગંભીર રીતે રીતે ઘાયલ થયા હતા અને તેમના પર ચીની સૈનિકો દ્વારા દારૂગોળામાંથી વરસાવવામાં આવતા હોવા છતાંય તેઓ ત્રીજા દુશ્મનના દળ સામે લડતા રહ્યા હતા અને તેમની પલટનને પાછા ફરવાનો ઓર્ડર મળ્યો હોવા છતાં સૌ એ સર્વોચ્ચ બલિદાન આપ્યા હતા.
