ડાયરેક્ટર સંજય લીલા ભંસાલીની બહુપ્રતિક્ષિત ફિલ્મ પદ્માવતની શરૂઆત અનેક ડિસ્કલેમર્સ સાથે થાય છે. આ ડિસ્ક્લેમરમાં વારે ઘરડીએ સ્પષ્ટ કરવામાં આવ્યુ છે કે ફિલ્મની સ્ટોરીનુ ઈતિહાસ સાથે કોઈ લેનદેન નથી. એ પણ બતાવાયુ છે કે આની સ્ટોરી ફેમસ કવિ મલિક મોહમ્મદ જાયસીની કાવ્ય રચના પદ્માવત પર બેસ્ડ છે.

આવી છે પદ્માવતની સ્ટોરી

- પદ્માવતી (દીપિકા પાદુકોણ) સિંઘલ રાજ્યની રાજકુમારી છે. તેની સુંદરતાની ચર્ચા આખા દેશમાં થાય છે. એક દિવસ અચાનક મહારાવલ રતન સેન (શાહિદ કપૂર)ની મુલાકાત પદ્માવતીથી થાય છે અને તે તેને પ્રેમ કરવા માંડે છે. ત્યારબાદ પદ્માવતી અને પહેલાથી પરણેલા રતન સેનના લગ્ન થઈ જાય છે. જ્યા સુધી કે રતન સેનના દરબારથી નીકળેલા પુરોહિત રાઘવ ચેતન દિલ્હીના સુલ્તાન અલાઉદ્દીન ખિલજી (રણવીર સિંહ)ને મળતા નથી ત્યા સુધી બધુ ઠીક ચાલતુ રહે છે.

આ પુરોહિત અલાઉદ્દીન ખિલજીને રાણી પદ્માવતીની સુંદરતા વિશે બતાવે છે અને ખિલજી પદ્માવતીને પામવા માટે મેવાડ પર ચઢાઈ કરી દે છે. ખિલજી છળ અને કપટથી મહારાવલ રતન સેનને બંદી બનાવી લે છે અને બદલામાં રાણી પદ્માવતીની માંગ કરે છે.

- જો કે ખિલજી પોતાના મનસૂબામાં સફળ થયો કે નહી ? છેવટે કેવી રીતે મહારાણી પદ્માવતી જોહર કરવાનો નિર્ણય લેવા મજબૂર થાય છે ? એવા અનેક સવાલ મનમા ઉભા થયા હશે પણ તેનો જવાબ જાણવા માટે તમારે ફિલ્મ જોવી પડશે.

આવુ છે ભંસાલીનુ ડાયરેક્શન

- ફિલ્મમાં ડાયરેક્ટર સંજય લીલા ભંસાલીની મહેનત સ્પષ્ટ જોવા મળી રહી છે. તેમણે જ્યા રાણી પદ્માવતીની સુંદરતાને ખૂબ જ સુંદરતાથી દર્શાવી છે તો બીજી બાજુ મહારાવલ રતન સેનના પરાક્રમ અને દ્રુષ્ટ અલાઉદ્દીન ખિલજીની ક્રૂરતાને બતાવવામાં કોઈ કસર છોડી નથી. ફિલ્મને દરેક ફ્રેમમાં ભંસાલીનો જાદૂ જોવા મળ્યો છે.

- યુદ્ધ સીક્વેંસથી લઈને જૌહર સુધી દરેક સીનને ભંસાલી વિઝુઅલી ખૂબ જ સુંદરતાથી ટ્રીટ કર્યો છે.

- ફર્સ્ટ હાફમાં મહારાણી પદ્માવતી અને મહારાવલ રતન સેનના પ્રેમની સ્ટોરી બતાવવામાં આવી છે. જો કે સેકંડ હાફને બળજબરી પૂર્વક ખેંચવામાં આવ્યુ છે. તેમા યુદ્ધના સીન ખૂબ લાંબા છે. અલાઉદ્દીન ખિલજીની સનકને ઘણુ ફુટેજ આપવામાં આવ્યુ છે. જેનાથી સ્ટોરીની ગતિ ધીમી પડી જાય છે.

આવી છે સ્ટારકાસ્ટની એક્ટિંગ

- દીપિકા પાદુકોણ પદ્માવતીના રોલમાં એકદમ ફિટ બેસી છે. તેણે જોયા પછી લાગે છે કે કોઈ અન્ય આ રોલને આટલી સારી રીતે નહોતુ કરી શકતુ.

- મહારાવલ રતન સેનના પાત્રની સાથે શાહિદ કપૂરે પૂરો ન્યાય કર્યો છે. કેટલાક સીન્સમાં તેમની અંદર પિતા પંકજ કપૂરની ઝલક જોવા મળી છે. જો કે રતન સેન અને પદ્માવતી વચ્ચેની કેમિસ્ટ્રી આશા પર ખરી ઉતરતી નથી.

- રણવીર સિંહે અલાઉદ્દીન ખિલજીના પાત્રને ખૂબ સારી રીતે ભજવ્યુ છે. જો કે થોડા સમય પછી એવુ લાગે છે કે જેવુ કે પાત્ર ભજવતા ભજવતા તેમા જ ફંસાય ગયા અને ઓવરએક્ટિંગ કરી રહ્યા છે.

આવુ છે પદ્માવતીનુ મ્યુઝિક

- જેવુ કે ભંસાલીની ફિલ્મો તરફથી આશા કરવામાં આવે છે, પદ્માવતનુ મ્યુઝિક પણ જોરદાર છે. ભંસાલીએ સંચિત બલ્હરા સાથે મળીને બૈકગ્રાઉંડ સ્કોર તૈયાર કર્યો છે. જેમા રાજસ્થાની ધુનો પણ સાંભળવા મળે છે. ફિલ્મનુ ઘૂમર સોંગ પહેલા જ હિટ થઈ ચુક્યુ છે. બાકી ગીત પણ સાંભળવામાં સારા લાગે છે.

જોઈ કે નહી ?

- આ ફિલ્મ તમારે જરૂર જોવી જોઈએ. ફિલ્મમાં તમને રાજપૂતોનું શૌર્ય જોવા મળશે. રાણી પદ્માવતીની સુંદરતાની સાથે સાથે તેમના પરાક્રમ પણ તમને આશ્ચર્યમાં નાખી દેશે.
