બોલિવુડની અનેક અભિનેત્રીઓ વિષ્ણુભાઈએ તૈયાર કરેલી સાડીઓ પહેરી છે

વિષ્ણુભાઈ સાડીઓથી માંડીને ગાલીચા, પડદા, ઓશિકાના કવર, ચાદર જેવી વસ્તુઓ બનાવે છે

કોરોનાના કેસ ઓછા થતાં હવે ધંધા રોજગાર ફરી વાર પાટે ચઢી રહ્યાં છે. જેમાં ખાસ કરીને હાથ વણાટનો ગૃહ ઉદ્યોગ ધીમે ધીમે બેઠો થઈ રહ્યો છે, ત્યારે 1971માં પાકિસ્તાનથી ભારત આવેલા ગેનાજી સુથારના પુત્ર વિષ્ણુભાઈ સુથાર આજે તેમની કલામાં અવનવાં સંશોધન કરીને 22 ગામની 300થી વધુ મહિલાઓને ઘરે બેઠાં રોજગારી આપે છે. હાલમાં તેઓ પોતાના ઘરમાં જ સાડીઓથી માંડીને ગાલીચા, પડદા, ઓશિકાના કવર, ચાદર જેવી વસ્તુઓ બનાવી રહ્યાં છે. તેમના દ્વારા તૈયાર કરવામાં આવેલી સાડીઓ બોલિવૂડની અભિનેત્રીઓ પહેરી ચૂકી છે. તેઓ આ ધંધામાં વર્ષે 20 લાખ રૂપિયાથી વધુનું ટર્નઓવર કરી રહ્યાં છે.

20 લાખ રૂપિયાથી વધુનું ટર્નઓવર કર્યું, લોકડાઉનના સમયગાળામાં તેમણે સૌથી મોટું ટર્નઓવર કર્યું હતું.

લોકડાઉનના સમય ગાળામાં કામધંધા બંધ થઈ જતાં મોટી મુશ્કેલી સર્જાઈ હતી. આ સમયે વિષ્ણુંભાઈએ માસ્ક બનાવવાનું શરૂ કર્યું હતું. તેમની પાસે વધેલા કાપડમાંથી માસ્ક બનાવવા માટે મહિલાઓને કામ આપ્યું હતું. તેમણે તૈયાર કરાવેલા માસ્કને ફેસબુક પર મુકતાં જ સમગ્ર દેશમાંથી ડિમાન્ડ ઉભી થઈ હતી. જેમાં તેમણે બે લાખ રૂપિયાથી વધુની કમાણી કરી હતી.બીજી તરફ તેમણે જે લોકો હાથ લારી ચલાવતા હતાં તેવા લોકોને પણ માસ્ક વેચવા માટે આપ્યાં હતાં. જેથી લારી ચલાવીને ગુજરાન ચલાવતા લોકોને રોજગારી મળી હતી. તે ઉપરાંત તેમને સાડી, ગાલીચા, પડદા, ઓશિકાના કવર, ચાદર જેવી વસ્તુઓ બનાવવા માટેનો ઓર્ડર ગુજરાત સરકારના હસ્તકલા વિભાગ તરફથી મળ્યો હતો. જેમાં તેઓએ 20 લાખ રૂપિયાથી વધુનું ટર્નઓવર કર્યું હતું. હાલમાં તેમને આ વિભાગનું 32 લાખ રૂપિયાથી વધુનું કામ મળ્યું છે.

પાંરપરિક કારીગરીને દેશભરમાં પ્રખ્યાત કરી

વિષ્ણુંભાઈના પિતાજી ગેનાજી સુથાર પાકિસ્તાનના નગરપારકરથી 1971માં પહેલા રાજસ્થાનના બાડમેર અને પછી બનાસકાંઠા જિલ્લાના થરાદમાં આવીને વસ્યા હતાં. પાકિસ્તાનથી એક એવી કારીગરી પણ સાથે લઈને આવ્યા, જે કારીગરીમાં તેમના પુત્ર વિષ્ણુભાઈ સુથારે પરિવર્તન લાવી પોતાની આ પાંરપરિક કારીગરીને દેશભરમાં પ્રખ્યાત કરી છે. વિષ્ણુભાઈ સુથાર જણાવે છે કે, “અમે જે કામ કરીએ છીએ તેને ‘એપ્લિક વર્ક’ કહેવાય છે. જે પાકિસ્તાનમાં તો છે, પરંતુ, સમગ્ર ભારતમાં ફક્ત અમારી પાસે જ છે. અમે ભારતમાં આવ્યા તેના 40 વર્ષ સુધી અને તે પહેલાંના સમયથી ગાલીચા, પડદા, ઓશિકાના કવર, ચાદર વગેરે બનાવતા હતા.

વિષ્ણુભાઈએ કહ્યું કે, જ્યારે હું મોટો થયો ત્યારે મેં મારા પિતા પાસે આ એપ્લિક વર્ક શીખ્યો, તેને મારી રીતે આગળ વધવાનું નક્કી કર્યું.

કેવી રીતે પ્રોડક્ટ તૈયાર કરે છે

આ કારણે જ આજથી 12 વર્ષ પહેલાં અમારી અત્યાર સુધીની બધી પેઢીમાંથી મેં સૌ પ્રથમ ચાદર, કવર સહિતની વસ્તુઓ બનાવવાની સાથે સાડી અને ડ્રેસ બનાવવાની શરૂઆત કરી હતી. તે પછી અમે ગુજરાત સરકારના વિવિધ કાર્યક્રમોમાં પ્રદર્શન કરવા લાગ્યા હતાં. થરાદથી લઈને સાંતલપુર સુધીના 22 ગામોની લગભગ 300 જેટલી મહિલાઓને તેમના દ્વારા બનાવવામાં આવેલી સાડી અને ડ્રેસ પર ડિઝાઇન બનાવવા માટે ટાંકા લેવાની મજૂરી આપી આ મહિલાઓને એક આજીવિકાની તક પુરી પાડવાની સાથે સાથે પોતાનું કામ પણ હળવું થાય તે રીતે મદદ પણ લે છે.

તેમણે ઉમેર્યું હતું કે, તેઓ પ્રોડક્ટ તૈયાર કરવા માટે કાપડ લાવીને તેના પર ડિઝાઇન છાપે છે. ત્યારબાદ લાકડાના પાટ પર હથોડી અને છીણીના ઉપયોગથી કટ કરે છે. આ કાપેલા કાપડના નીચે એક બીજું કાપડ મૂકીને ઉપરના કાપડને વાળીને ટાંકા લેવામાં આવે છે અને છેલ્લે તે તૈયાર થાય છે.

બોલિવૂડ પણ વિષ્ણુંભાઈની સાડીઓનું દિવાનું છે

ટાંકા લેવાની ટ્રેનિંગ વિષ્ણુભાઈ દ્વારા જે તે ગામની મહિલાઓને તેમના ઘરે જઈને જ આપવામાં આવે છે. વિષ્ણુભાઈ જણાવે છે કે, તેમની આ કારીગરીથી પ્રભાવિત થઈને સુનિલ દત્તના પુત્રી તથા સંજય દત્તના બહેન દિવ્યા દત્તે તેમને પોતાના ઘરે બોલાવી વિવિધ વસ્તુઓ બનાવડાવી હતી.

તેઓ કહે છે કે, કોરોનાના સમયમાં શરૂઆતમાં આજીવિકામાં અસર થઇ હતી. પરંતુ, ગુજરાત સરકારના એમ્પોરિયમ માટેના એકમ ગરવી ગુર્જરીનું પણ સારું એવું યોગદાન રહ્યું અને તે બંનેએ ખુબ સપોર્ટ કર્યો અને તે કપરા કાળમાં પણ અમારો જેટલો પણ માલ બન્યો તેટલો માલ તેમણે ખરીદી લીધો. વિષ્ણુભાઈ દ્વારા નિર્મિત સાડીનો ભાવ 5 હજારથી લઈને 50 હજાર રૂપિયા સુધીનો છે, જ્યારે ડ્રેસનો ભાવ 2 હજારથી લઈને 5 હજાર રૂપિયા સુધીનો છે. તેમણે પોતાનો એક ડ્રેસ રેડ મુવીના ડિઝાઇનરને આપ્યો હતો જે ફિલ્મની હિરોઈન ઇલિયાના ડી ક્રુઝે એક ગીતમાં પહેરેલો પણ દેખાય છે.
