तूफान की चेतावनी या बिजली गिरने पर क्या करें

भारत के अलग-अलग हिस्सों में बीते पखवाड़े के दौरान चली तेज हवाओं और बिजली गिरने की वजह से डेढ़ सौ से अधिक लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है। ज्यादातर लोग बिजली गिरने, पेड़ गिरने और मकान गिरने की वजह से मारे गए हैं। मौसम विभाग ने सोमवार के लिए भी चेतावनी जारी की है।

उत्तर प्रदेश के राहत आयुक्त संजय कुमार बताते हैं कि लोगों को सही समय पर चेतावनी दी जा रही है लेकिन इसके बावजूद जनहानि हो रही है। सावधानी बरतकर इसे रोका जा सकता है।

वहीं भारत की राष्ट्रीय आपदा नियंत्रण एजेंसी ने तूफान आने की स्थिति में क्या सावधानियां बरतनी चाहिए इसे लेकर दिशा निर्देश जारी किए हैं।

तूफान की चेतावनी मिले तो क्या करें

स्थानीय मौसम के बारे में ताजा जानकारी रखें और प्रशासन की ओर से जारी चेतावनी पर ध्यान दें।
घर के भीतर ही रहें, बरामदे में न रहें।
सभी बिजली के उपकरणों के प्लग निकाल दें। तार वाले टेलिफोन का इस्तेमाल न करें।
प्लमबिंग या धातू के पाइपों का न छुएं। टंकी से आने वाले पानी का इस्तेमाल न करें।
टिन की छतों या मेटल रूफ वाली इमारतों से दूर रहें।
पेड़ों के पास या उनके नीचे शरण न लें।
अगर आप कार या बस के भीतर हैं तो वहीं वाहन रोक लें।
धातु से बनी चीजों का इस्तेमाल न करें। टेलीफोन और बिजली की लाइनों से दूर रहें।
पानी से तुरंत बाहर निकल आएं। स्वीमिंग पूल, झील, छोटी नाव आदि से तुरंत बाहर निकल जाएं और सुरक्षित स्थान पर जाएं।

बिजली गिरने पर इन बातों का रखें ध्यान

अगर किसी पर बिजली गिर जाए, तो फौरन डॉक्टर की मदद मांगे। ऐसे लोगों को छूने से आपको कोई नुकसान नहीं पहुंचेगा।
अगर किसी पर बिजली गिरी है तो फौरन उनकी नब्ज जांचे और अगर आप प्रथम उपचार देना जानते हैं तो जरूर दें। बिजली गिरने से अकसर दो जगहों पर जलने की आशंका रहती है- वो जगह जहां से बिजली के झटके ने शरीर में प्रवेश किया और जिस जगह से उसका निकास हुआ जैसे पैर के तलवे।
ऐसा भी हो सकता है कि बिजली गिरने से व्यक्ति की हड्डियां टूट गई हों या उसे सुनना या दिखाई देना बंद हो गया हो. इसकी जांच करें।
बिजली गिरने के बाद तुरंत बाहर न निकलें। अधिकाशं मौतें तूफान गुजर जाने के 30 मिनट बाद तक बिजली गिरने से होती हैं।
अगर बादल गरज रहे हों, और आपके रोंगटे खड़े हो रहे हैं तो ये इस बात का संकेत है कि बिजली गिर सकती है. ऐसे में नीचे दुबक कर पैरों के बल बैठ जाएं, अपने हाथ घुटने पर रख लें और सर दोनों घुटनों के बीच। इस मुद्रा के कारण आपका ज़मीन से कम से कम संपर्क होगा।
छतरी या मोबाइल फ़ोन का इस्तेमाल न करें- धातु के ज़रिए बिजली आपके शरीर में घुस सकती है। ब्रिटिश मेडिकल जर्नल में छपा है कि कैसे 15 साल की एक किशोरी पर बिजली गिर गई थी जब वो मोबाइल इस्तेमाल कर रही थीं। उसे दिल का दौरा पड़ा था।
ये मिथक है कि बिजली एक ही जगह पर दो बार नहीं गिर सकती।
