ગુજરાતમાં છેલ્લા 24 કલાક દરમિયાન રાજ્યનાં 225 તાલુકામાં 1થી 11.5 ઇંચ વરસાદ નોંધાયો છે. દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતમાં વલસાડ જિલ્લામાં મેઘરાજાએ 24 કલાક દરમિયાન ફરી એક વાર બેટિંગ કરી હતી. વલસાડના વાપી શહેરમાં ગત રાત્રીના ધોધમાર વરસાદ વરસ્યો હતો. વાપી શહેરમાં 11.5 ઇંચ વરસતાં ઠેર ઠેર પાણી ભરાયાં હતા. 24 કલાક દરમિયાન વલસાડના કિલ્લા પારડીમાં 10 ઇંચ વરસાદ વરસ્યો જ્યારે ઉમરગામમાં 6.5 ઇંચ, ગણદેવીમાં 6.5 ઇંચ, વલસાડ શહેરમાં 6.5 ઇંચ વરસાદ વરસ્યો હતો.
વલસાડ જિલ્લામાં ચાલૂ વર્ષે 100 ટકાને આંબી ગયેલા વરસાદના કારણે ખેડૂતો હાલ તો ચિંતા મુક્ત છે. વાપીમાં 11.4 ઈંચ જેટલો વરસાદ ખાબક્યો હતો. ગઈકાલથી વલસાડ જિલ્લામાં ધરમપુર, કપરાડા, ઉમરગામ, પારડી, વલસાડ, વાપી તાલુકાઓમાં આકાશમાં વાદળો છવાઇ જતાં વાતાવરણમાં પલટો આવ્યો હતો. આ તાલુકામાં ઓમાં રાત્રિ દરમિયાન ખાસ કરીને વધુ પ્રમાણમં વરસાદ નોંધાયો હતો. હવામાન વિભાગે રાજ્યમાં ભારે વરસાદ પડવાની આગાહી કરી છે ત્યારે સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં આજે સવારથી જ વરસાદી માહોલ જોવા મળી રહ્યો છે.
રાજુલા પંથકમાં સતત મેઘરાજા મહેરબાન બન્યા હોય તેમ આજે વહેલી સવારથી જ ધોધમાર વરસાદ પડી રહ્યો છે. રાજુલાના નવા આગરીયા, મોટા આગરીયા સહિત ગામોમાં ધોધમાર વરસાદ પડતા સ્થાનિક નદીઓમાં પૂર આવ્યા હતા. વરસાદને કારણે ખેડૂતોમાં ખુશીની લાગણી જોવા મળી રહી છે. હવામાન વિભાગની આગાહીને પગલે અમરેલી જિલ્લા કલેક્ટરે 11 તાલુકા મથકો પર મામલતદાર, ટીડીઓ અને ચીફ ઓફિસરને સ્ટેન્ડ ટુ રહેવા લેખિતમાં સુચના આપી છે. જિલ્લા કંટ્રોલ રૂમ સાથે સંકલનમાં રહેવાની પણ સૂચના આપી છે.
આ વરસાદનું જોર ખત્રી તળાવ સુધી વધુ જોવા મળ્યું હતું. વરસાદનું જોર એટલું હતું કે ભુજ-માંડવી રોડ પર આવેલ ખત્રીતળાવ પાસેનો માર્ગ જળમગ્ન બની ગયો હતો. વર્તમાન ચોમાસાની સિઝનમાં બુધવારનો વરસાદ સૌથી વધુ હોવાનું જાણવા મળ્યું હતું. નારાયણસરોવર, કપુરાશીમાં સવારે 7થી 10 વાગ્યા સુધી એકધારો ભારે ઝાપટાંરૂપી વરસાદ વરસતાં સરેરાશ દોઢેક ઇંચ જેટલો વરસાદ વરસી પડયો હતો. આ વરસાદથી પવીત્ર સરોવરમાં નવું એકાદ ફુટ પાણી આવ્યું હોવાનું જાણવા મળ્યું છે.
