जम्मू। सुरक्षाबलों के लिए कश्मीर में नया टारगेट अब वर्ष 2021 के अंत तक आतंकवाद का अंत करना है। इसी टारगेट की पूर्ति की खातिर वे अब आतंकियों पर कहर बन कर टूट पड़े हैं। पिछले 24 दिनों के भीतर 26 आतंकियों को जहन्नुम का रास्ता दिखाया गया है। सुरक्षाबलों ने आज भी बांदीपोरा में 2 आतंकियों को ढेर कर दिया।
पुलिस महानिदेशक दिलबाग सिंह भी कहते थे कि कश्मीर में अनुमानतः 200 के करीब आतंकी मौजूद हैं। उन्हें उम्मीद थी कि अगर इसी दर से सुरक्षाबल आतंकियों का सफाया करते रहे तो इस साल के अंत तक कश्मीर वादी आतंकियों से मुक्त हो जाएगी।

अधिकारियों के बकौल, इस साल एक सौ के करीब आतंकियों का सफाया किया जा चुका है। जबकि इसी महीने मारे गए आतंकियों की संख्या 22 है। सरकारी रिकार्ड के अनुसार, अगर देखा जाए तो जुलाई महीने में प्रतिदिन औसतन एक आतंकी की मौत हुई है।
इतना जरूर था कि सुरक्षाबलों को यह सफलताएं पाने के लिए शहादतें भी देनी पड़ी हैं। इस वर्ष 19 सुरक्षाकर्मी शहीद हो चुके हैं। जुलाई में 26 आतंकियों को मार गिराने के लिए मात्र एक सुरक्षाकर्मी की ही शहादत देनी पड़ी है।
