ફિલ્મ છેલ્લો દિવસ દ્વારા ખૂબ પોપ્યુલર થયેલા મલ્હાર ઠાકરે “છેલ્લો દિવસ” પછી પાછુ વળીને જોયુ નથી. વિકીડાની જબરજસ્ત એક્ટિંગ દ્વારા ગુજરાતી ફિલ્મ ઇન્ડસ્ટ્રીમાં પોતાની અલગ છાપ બનાવી છે. આજે ગુજરાતીના દિલમાં વિકડા તરીકે છવાઇ ગયા ચે.

અમદાવાદની આ સ્કૂલમાંથી પ્રાપ્ત કર્યું શિક્ષણ અમદાવાદની નવરંગ સ્કૂલમાં 10માં ધોરણ સુધી અને ત્યારબાદ શેઠ સી એન વિદ્યાલયમાં ધોરણ 11-12માં આર્ટ્સનો અભ્યાસ કરનાર મલ્હાર ઠાકરે કોલેજનું શિક્ષણ મુંબઈથી મેળવ્યું. મુંબઈમાં અનેક ગુજરાતી નાટકોમાં એક્ટિંગ કર્યા બાદ ગુજરાતી ફિલ્મોમાં પ્રવેશ કરનાર મલ્હાર ઠાકર આજે એક ગુજરાતી એક્ટર તરીકે દેશ-વિદેશમાં પ્રખ્યાત છે.

આ સિવાય સાહિત્યના વિષયો જેવા કે અંગ્રેજી અને ગુજરાતીમાં ક્લાસમાં સૌથી વધુ માર્ક્સ લાવનાર મલ્હાર ઠાકર ખૂબ સારો વોલીબોલ અને હેન્ડબોલ પ્લેયર રહી ચૂક્યો છે. ફિલ્મ છેલ્લો દિવસ દ્વારા ખૂબ પોપ્યુલર થયેલા મલ્હાર ઠાકરે “છેલ્લો દિવસ” પછી પાછુ વળીને જોયુ નથી. વિકીડાની જબરજસ્ત એક્ટિંગ દ્વારા ગુજરાતી ફિલ્મ ઇન્ડસ્ટ્રીમાં પોતાની અલગ છાપ બનાવી છે.

આ રીતે પડ્યું નામ

મલ્હારનો જન્મ 28 જૂનના રોજ થયો હતો એટલે કે મોટાભાગે ચોમાસાની શરૂઆત થઇ જતી હોય છે. મલ્હાર જ્યારે તેના માતાના ગર્ભમાં હતો ત્યારે મલ્હારના માતાને દીકરીની ઇચ્છા હતી અને મલ્હારના પિતા દીકરાની કલ્પના કરતા હતા, તેમના ઘરે પ્રથમ સંતાનનું આગમન થતું હોવાથી તેઓ ખૂબ જ ખુશ હતા. પિતાએ નક્કી કર્યું હતું કે દીકરીનો જન્મ થશે તો મેઘા રાખીશું. આ નામ તેમની પત્ની ખૂબ ગમ્યું પરંતુ દીકરા માટે બે વિકલ્પ હતા. જો ચાલુ વરસાદે જન્મશે તો મેઘ રાખીશું અને પ્રસુતિ બાદ વરસાદ આવશે તો તેનું નામ મલ્હાર રાખીશું. આમ 28 જૂને તેમના ત્યાં દિકરાનો જન્મ થયો અને તેના જન્મ બાદ મેઘરાજાએ પણ પોતાની હાજરી નોંધાવી અને ગુજરાતી ફિલ્મ ઇંડસ્ટ્રીને મળી ગયો મલ્હાર.
