ક્યાંથી શરૂ થઈ સ્ટોરી
9 સેપ્ટેમ્બર 1975 લંડનમાં જન્મેલા રાજ કુંદ્રા મૂળ રૂપથી ભારતીય છે પણ તેણે બ્રિટેનની નાગરિકતા મળી છે. તે એક ઓળખીતા બિજનેસમેન છે અને તેમના પિતા ઘણા વર્ષ પહેલા જ લુધિયાણાથી લંડન ગયા હતા. લંડનમાં તેણે બસ કંડકટરના રૂપમાંબ કામની શરૂઆત કરી એક નાનકડો વેપાર શરૂ કર્યું. રાજની મા એક દુકાનમાં અસિસ્ટેંટ હતી. પરિવારની સ્થિતિને જોતા બાળપણમાં જ રાજ કુંદ્રા પૈસાની કીમતને સમજ્યા
અને 18 વર્ષની ઉમ્રથી જ કામ કરવુ શરૂ કરી દીધું.
વેપારના પ્રવાસ
પિતાની સલાગ પર રાજ થોડા પૈસા લઈને દુબઈ ગયા અને તેણે કેટલાક હીરા વેપારીઓથી વેપારની કોશિશ કરી પણ અહીં વાત નથી બની. ત્યારબાદ તે નેપાળ ગયા અને પશ્મીના શૉળ ખરીદીને બ્રિટેનના કેટલાક બ્રાનડેડ સ્ટૉરમાં વેચવાનો કામ શરૂ કર્યું. આ વેપાર વધ્યુ અને થોડા સમય પછી રાજ હીરાનો વેપાર કરવા દુબઈ ફરીથી ગયા અને આ વખતે સફળ પણ રહ્યુ. વર્ષ 2004માં માત્ર 29 વર્ષની ઉમ્રમાં જ તે બ્રિટેનના 198મા સૌથી અમીર એશિયાઈ વ્યક્તિની યાદીમા% સ્ગામેલ થઈ ગયા.
રાજ કુંદ્રાની પાસે અરબોની સંપત્તિ
શિલ્પા શેટ્ટીના પતિ રાજ કુંદ્રાનો નામ આજે દેશ દુનિયાના ટૉપ બિજનેસમેનની યાદીમાં છે. મીડિયા રિપોર્ટની માનીએ તો ગયા એક દશકમાં રાજ કુંદ્રાની કુળ સંપત્તિ 80 ટકા સુધી વધારો થયુ છે. અત્યારેના સમયમાં તે જુદા-જુદા કવિસ્તારના આશરે 10 કંપનીઓમાં માલિકી અધિકાર અને ભાગીદારી પણ રાખે છે. રાજ કુંદ્રા દર મહીશ આશરે 100 કરોડ રૂપિયાથી વધારેની કમાણી કરે છે અને તેમની કુળ સંપત્તિ 400 મિલિયાન ડાલર એટલે કે 2700 કરોડથી પણ વધારે છે.
પર્સનલ લાઈફમાં પણ વિવાદ
જો પર્સનલ લાઈફની વાત કરીએ તો રાજ કુંદ્રાની લાઈફ અહીં પણ વિવાદોના ઘેરામાં જ રહે છે અને તેણે વર્ષ 2005માં કવિતાની સાથે લગ્ન કરી હતી પણ લગ્નના આશરે ત્રણ વર્ષ પછી જ બન્નેનો તલાક થઈ ગયું. રાજ અને કવિતાની એક દીકરી છે જે માતાની પાસે રહે છે. કવિતાની સાથે તલાક પછી રાજએ વર્ષ 2009માં બૉલીવુડ અભિનેત્રી શિલ્પા શેટ્ટીની સાથે લગ્ન કર્યા. રાજ અને શિલ્પાના બે બાળકો છે જેનો નામ વિયાન અને એક વર્ષની દીકરી સમિશા છે. રાજ કુંદ્રાના પ્રથમ તલાકમાં પણ શિલ્પા શેટ્ટીનો હાથ હોવાની વાત સામે આવી રહી છે. પણ રાજ કુંદ્રા આ વાતોને નકારતા રહે છે.
