आश्विन मास की पूर्णिमा को शरद पूर्णिमा के नाम से जाना जाता है। इस साल शरद पूर्णिमा 19 अक्टूबर 2021, मंगलवार के दिन मनाई जाएगी।

धार्मिक मान्यता के अनुसार, शरद पूर्णिमा सभी पूर्णिमा तिथि में से सबसे महत्वपूर्ण पूर्णिमा तिथि मानी जाती है। इस दिन धन वैभव और ऐश्वर्य की प्राप्ति के लिए मां लक्ष्मी जी की पूजा की जाती है और व्रत रखा जाता है।

इस पूर्णिमा को कोजागरी पूर्णिमा या कोजागरी लक्ष्मी पूजा भी कहते हैं। पौराणिक मान्यता के अनुसार, शरद पूर्णिमा के दिन माता लक्ष्मी जी का अवतरण हुआ था।

सुबह स्नान के बाद घर के मंदिर की सफाई करें।

ध्यान पूर्वक माता लक्ष्मी और श्रीहरि की पूजा करें।

फिर गाय के दूध में चावल की खीर बनाकर रख लें।

लक्ष्मी माता और भगवान विष्णु की पूजा करने के लिए लाल कपड़ा या पीला कपड़ा चौकी पर बिछाकर माता लक्ष्मी और भगवान विष्णु की प्रतिमा इस पर स्थापित करें।

तांबे अथवा मिट्टी के कलश पर वस्त्र से ढकी हुई लक्ष्मी जी की स्वर्णमयी मूर्ति की स्थापना कर सकते हैं।

भगवान की प्रतिमा के सामने घी का दीपक जलाएं, धूप करें।

इसके बाद गंगाजल से स्नान कराकर अक्षत और रोली से तिलक लगाएं।

तिलक करने के बाद सफेद या पीले रंग की मिठाई से भोग लगाएं।

लाल या पीले पुष्प अर्पित करें।

माता लक्ष्मी को गुलाब का फूल अर्पित करना विशेष फलदायक होता है।

शाम के समय चंद्रमा निकलने पर अपने सामर्थ्य के अनुसार गाय के शुद्ध घी के दीये जलाएं।

इसके बाद खीर को कई छोटे बर्तनों में भरकर छलनी से ढककर चंद्रमा की रोशनी में रख दें।

फिर ब्रह्म मुहूर्त जागते हुए विष्णु सहस्त्रनाम का जप, श्रीसूक्त का पाठ, भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की महिमा, श्रीकृष्ण मधुराष्टकम् का पाठ और कनकधारा स्तोत्र का पाठ करना चाहिए।

पूजा की शुरुआत में भगवान गणपति की आरती अवश्य करें।

अगली सुबह ब्रह्म मुहूर्त में स्नान करके उस खीर को मां लक्ष्मी को अर्पित करें और प्रसाद रूप में वह खीर घर-परिवार के सदस्यों में बांट दें।

शरद पूर्णिमा के दिन चांद अपनी 16 कलाओं से युक्त होकर धरती पर अमृत की वर्षा करता है। शरद पूर्णिमा की रात को खीर बनाकर पूरी रात चांद की रोशनी में आसमान के नीचे रखा जाता है फिर अगले दिन सुबह इसे प्रसाद के तौर पर परिवार के सभी सदस्य ग्रहण करते हैं। जो भी व्यक्ति शरद पूर्णिमा पर खीर का प्रसाद ग्रहण करता है उसके शरीर से कई रोग खत्म हो जाते हैं।

जिन जातकों की कुंडली में चंद्रमा शुभ फल नहीं देते हैं उन्हें खीर का सेवन जरूर करना चाहिए। शरद पूर्णिमा देवी पर लक्ष्मी का आगमन होता है इसलिए उन्हें प्रसन्न करने के प्रयास किए जाते हैं।
