આસારામ બાપૂ પર આજે નિર્ણયનો દિવસ છે. તેમના પર એક કિશોરી પર દુષ્કર્મ કરવાનો આરોપ છે.. આ આરોપમાં તેઓ 2013થી જેલમાં છે. આસારામ વિરુદ્ધ છેલા 5 વર્ષોથી ચાલી રહેલ પીડિતા અને તેમના પરિવારની આ ન્યાયિક લડાઈ અનેક દ્રષ્ટિએ અસાધારણ છે.
આસારામ અને તેમનો સામાજીક પ્રભાવ
એપ્રિલ 1941માં વર્તમાન પાકિસ્તાનના સિંધ વિસ્તારના બેરાની ગામમાં જન્મેલા આસારામનુ અસલી નામ અસુમલ હરપલાની છે. સિંધી વેપારી સમુદાય સાથે સંબંધ ધરાવતા આસારામનો પરિવાર 1947ના ભાગલા પછી ભારતના અમદાવાદમાં આવીને વસી ગયો.
સાહીઠના દસકામાં તેમણે લીલાશાહને પોતાના આધ્યાત્મિક ગુરૂ બનાવ્યા. પછી લીલાશાહે જ તેમનુ નામ અસુમલથી આસારામ કરી નાખ્યુ.
1972માં આસારામે અમદાવાદથી લગભગ 10 કિલોમીટર દૂર મુટેરા ગામમાં સાબરમતી નદીના કિનારે પોતાની પ્રથમ કુટિયા બનાવી.. અહી શરૂ થયેલ આસારામનો આધ્યાત્મિક પ્રોજેક્ટ ધીરે ધીરે ગુજરાતના અન્ય શહેરોમાંથી થઈને દેશના જુદા જુદા રાજ્યમાં ફેલાય ગયો.

શરૂઆતમાં ગુજરાતના ગ્રામીણ વિસ્તારમાંથી આવનારા ગરીબ અભણ અને આદિવાસી સમૂહને પોતાના પ્રવચન દેશી દવાઓ અને ભજન કીર્તનની તિકડી પીરસીને લોભાવનારા આસારામનો પ્રભાવ ધીરે ધીરે રાજ્યના શહેરી મધ્યમવર્ગીય વિસ્તારમાં પણ વધવા લાગ્યો.
શરૂઆતના વર્ષમાં પ્રવચન પછી પ્રસાદના નામ પર આપવામાં આવતા મફત ભોજને પણ આસારામના ભક્તોની સંખ્યામાં ઝડપથી વધારો કરવામાં મહત્વપૂર્ણ ભૂમિકા ભજવી.
આસારામની ઓફિશિયલ વેબસાઈટ મુજબ આજે દુનિયાભરમાં તેમના ચાર કરોડ શિષ્યો છે.
આવનારા દસકમાં આસારામે પોતાના પુત્ર નારાયણ સાંઈ સાથે મળીને દેશ વિદેશમાં ફેલાયેલા પોતાના 400 આશ્રમનુ સામ્રાજ્ય ઉભુ કરી લીધુ.
આસારામના આ વ્યાપક પ્રભાવમાં તેમના ભક્તો અને આશ્રમની સંખ્યા સાથે સાથે લગભગ 10 હજાર કરોડ રૂપિયાની સંપત્તિ પણ છે. જેની તપાસ હાલ કેન્દ્રીય અને ગુજરાત રાજ્યનું ઈંકમટેક્ષ વિભાગ કરી રહ્યુ છે. આ તપાસમાં આશ્રમ નિર્માણ માટે ગેરકાયદેસર રીતે જમીન હડપવાના મામલાનો પણ સમાવેશ છે.
આસારામનો રાજનીતિ પ્રભાવ - ભક્તોની સંખ્યા વધવા સાથે જ રાજનેતાઓએ પણ આસારામ દ્વારા એક મોટા વોટર સમૂહમાં પ્રભુત્વ બનાવવાનો પ્રયાસ કર્યો.
1990 થી લઈને 2000ના દસકા સુધી તેમના ભક્તોની યાદીમાં ભારતના પૂર્વ પ્રધાનમંત્રી અટલ બિહારી વાજપેયીના સાથે સાથે ભારતીય જનતા પાર્ટીના લાલકૃષ્ણ અડવાણી અને નીતિન ગડકરી જેવા દિગ્ગજ નેતા સામેલ થઈ ચુક્યા હતા. આ યાદીમાં દિગ્વિજય સિંહ, કમલનાથ અને મોતીલાલ વોરા જેવા વરિષ્ઠ નેતાઓનો પણ સમાવેશ છે.
સાથે જ ભાજપાના વર્તમાન અને પૂર્વ મુખ્યમંત્રીઓની એક લાંબી લિસ્ટ આસારામના દર્શન માટે જતી રહી છે. આ યાદીમાં શિવરાજ સિંહ ચૌહાણ ઉમા ભારતી રમણ સિંહ પ્રેમ કુમાર ધૂમલ અને વસુંધરા રાજેનો સમાવેશ છે. આ બધા ઉપરાંત 2000ના દસકાના શરૂઆતના વર્ષમાં આસારામના દર્શન માટે જનારા સૌથી મહત્વપૂર્ણ નામ ભારતના વર્તમાન પ્રધાનમંત્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીનુ પણ છે.
પણ 2008માં આસારામના મુટેરા આશ્રમમાં 2 બાળકોની હત્યાનો મામલો સામે આવતા જ લગભગ દરેક રાજનીતિક દળના નેતાઓએ તેમનાથી દૂર રહેવુ પસંદ કર્યુ
2008નો મોટેરા આશ્રમ કાંડ - 5 જુલાઈ 2008ના રોજ આસારામના મુટેરા આશ્રમની બહાર આવેલ સાબરમતી નદીના સૂકા તળિયામાં 10 વર્ષીય અભિષેક વાઘેલા અને 11 વર્ષીય દીપેશ વાઘેલાના અડધા બળેલા શરીર વિકૃત અવસ્થામાં પ્રાપ્ત થયા હતા. અમદાવાદમાં રહેનારા આ પિતરાઈ ભાઈઓના પેરેંટ્સે મૃત્યુના થોડા જ દિવસ પહેલા દાખલો આસારામના ગુરૂકુળ નામના શાળામાં કરાવ્યો હતો.
આ મામલાની તપાસ માટે તત્કાલીન રાજ્ય સરકારે ડીકે ત્રિવેદી કમીશનની રચના કરવામાં આવી હતી. પણ આ કમીશનના તપાસ પરિણામ આજ સુધી સાર્વજનિક કરવામાં આવ્યા નથી.
આ દરમિયાન 2012માં રાજ્ય પોલીસે મુટેરા આશ્રમના 7 કર્મચારીઓ પર ગૈર ઈરાદતન હત્યાના આરોપ નક્કી કર્યા. મામલાની સુનાવણી હાલ અમદાવાદના સત્ર ન્યાયાલયમાં ચાલી રહ્યો છે.

શુ છે જોધપુરનો મામલો ?
ઓગસ્ટ 2013માં આસારામ વિરુદ્ધ બળાત્કારનો મામલો નોંધાવનારા શાહજહાપુર નિવાસી પીડિતાનુ પરિવાર ઘટના પહેલા સુધી આસારામના કટ્ટર ભક્ત હતા.
પીડિતાના પિતાએ પોતાના ખર્ચ પર શાહજહાંપુરમાં આસારામનો આશ્રમ બનાવ્યો હતો. સંસ્કારવાન શિક્ષા ની આશામાં તેમણે પોતાના બે બાળકોને છિંદવાડા સ્થિત ગુરૂકુળમાં અભ્યાસ માટે મોકલ્યા હતા.
7 ઓગસ્ટ 2013ના રોજ પીડિતાના પિતાને છિંદવાડા ગુરૂકુળમાંથી એક ફોન આવ્યો. ફોન પર જણાવ્યુ કે તેમની 16 વર્ષીય પુત્રી બીમાર છે. બીજા દિવસે જ્યારે પીડિતાના માતા પિતા છિંદવાડા ગુરૂકુળ પહોંચ્યા તો તેમને જણાવવામાં આવ્યુ કે તેમની પુત્રીને ભૂત પ્રેત વળગ્યુ છે. જેને આસારામ જ ઠીક કરી શકે છે.
14 ઓગસ્ટના રોજ પીડિતાનો પરિવાર આસારામને મળવા તેમના જોધપુર આશ્રમ પહોંચ્યુ. કેસમાં નોંધાયેલ ચાર્જશીટ મુજબ આસારામે 15 ઓગસ્ટની સાંજે 16 વર્ષીય પીડિતાને ઠીક કરવાના બહાને પોતાના આશ્રમમાં બોલાવીને બળાત્કાર કર્યો.
પીડિતાના પરિવારનુ માનીએ તો તેમને માટે આ ઘટના તેમના ભગવાનના ભક્ષકમાં બદલાય જવા જેવી હતી. આ પરિવારે સુનાવણીના વીતેલા પાંચ વર્ષ પોતાના ઘરમાં નજરબંધ બંધકોની જેમ વીતાવ્યા છે. આ પરિવારને લાંચની રજુઆત કરવામાં આવી.. અને જીવથી મારવાની ધમકી પણ આપવામાં આવી પણ તેઓ પોતાનાથી અનેક ગણા પ્રભાવશાળી આસારામ વિરુદ્ધ પોતાની ન્યાયની લડાઈ પર કાયમ રહ્યા.
