Kids Story : पत्थर की असली कीमत

Kids Story एक समय की बात है। एक छोटे से कस्बे में एक साधु महाराज पधारे। उनके पास बहुत से दुखी लोग आशीर्वाद लेने पहुंचे। उन्हीं में एक था श्यामा। उनसे साधु महाराज से कहा, मैं बहुत ही गरीब हूं, मेरे ऊपर बहुत कर्ज है और बस यही समझ लीजिए कि मेरा जीवन अब डूबने ही वाला है। मैं चाहता हूं कि आपकी कुछ कृपा मुझ पर हो जाए। 

साधु को श्यामा पर तरस आया। उन्होंने एक चमकीला नीला पत्थर देते हुए कहा 'यह बहुत कीमती पत्थर है'। इसे बाजार में अच्छी दाम पर बेचकर अपना सारा कर्ज चुकता कर लेना और जो पैसे बच जाए उससे खुशी-खुशी अपना गुजारा करना। अब यह तुम्हारे ऊपर है कि तुम इसे कितने में बेच सकते हो ? 

श्यामा वहां से पत्‍थर लेकर निकला, सबसे पहले एक सब्जी वाले को वह पत्‍थर दिखाकर कहा यह तुम रख लो, बहुत कीमती पत्थर है। इसके क्या दाम दोगे? सब्जी वाले ने देखा तो उसने कहा यह तो कोई मामूली पत्थर लगता है। फिर भी मैं इसके तुम्हें सौ रुपए दे सकता हूं। यह सुनकर श्यामा निराश होकर अपना पत्थर लेकर चला गया। अब वह एक फल बेचने वाले पास गया, फलवाले को थोड़ा-बहुत ज्ञान था, उसने कहा महात्मा ने तुम्हें ये पत्थर यूं ही दे दिया है, ये कोई खास कीमती पत्थर नहीं है, फिर भी मैं तुम्हें एक हजार रुपए दे सकता हूं। यह सुनकर श्यामा निराश होकर सोचने लगा इस पत्थर से तो मेरा कर्जा चूकता नहीं होगा।

अब वह किराना दुकानदार के यहां पहुंच और उसे पत्थर दिखाया। दुकानदार बोला, वैसे तो यह कोई खास पत्थर नहीं है, फिर भी यदि तुम चाहो तो मैं तुम्हें इसके दस हजार रुपए तक दे सकता हूं। यह सुनकर श्‍यामा के चेहरे पर थोड़ी खुशी दिखाई दी, लेकिन वह सोचने लगा कि इससे तो मेरा पूरा कर्ज नहीं उतरेगा तो क्या करना है इसे बेचकर ?

श्यामा अब एक बर्तन वाले के पास गया, जो उसके जान पहचान वाला ही था। उसने नीले चमकीले पत्‍थर को देखा और कहा- लगता तो यह कीमती पत्थर है ? यह कोई खास रत्न भी हो सकता है। मैं तुम्हें इसके एक लाख रुपए तक दे सकता हूं। यह बात सुनकर अब श्यामा सोचने लगा कि हो ना हो इसकी कीमत इससे भी ज्यादा होगी।

समझो इससे मेरा कर्ज तो उतर ही जाएगा और वह उस पत्‍थर को लेकर चला गया। अब की बार श्‍यामा एक सुनार के पास जाकर वह पत्थर दिखशया तो सुनार बोला- यह तो काफी कीमती लग रहा है। बहुत सोच-विचार के बाद पांच लाख रुपए देने की बात कही। यह कीमत सुनकर श्यामा खुश होते हुए उछल पड़ा और सोचने लगा कि यह कीमत तो शानदार है। किंतु मन ही मन वह सोचने पर मजबूर हो गया कि हो ना हो इसकी कीमत इससे भी ज्यादा हो सकती है।

अब वह उस अमूल्य पत्‍थर को लेकर हीरा व्यापारी के पास गया। अब तक उसकी समझ में यह बात आ गई थी कि यह कोई मामूली पत्थर नहीं है। हीरा व्यापारी ने उस पत्थर को देखा और चौंक कर कहा- कहां से हाथ लगा तुम्हें यह ? यह तो बहुत ही कीमती है। व्यापारी का चेहरे के भाव देखकर श्यामा समझ गया कि अब मैं पत्थर को लेकर सही जगह पर आया हूं।

हीरा व्यापारी ने पत्‍थर को अपने माथे से लगाकर पूछा- बताओ, कितने रुपए लोगों इसके ? यह सुनतेही श्यामा ने कहा- आप कितने दाम दोगे इसके? व्यापारी ने कहा- दस लाख रुपए। अब तक श्यामा को पत्थर की कीमत समझ आ चुकी थी, उसने कहा, दस नहीं, पूरे बीस लाख लूंगा, बोलो है मंजूर तो? तब थोड़ी-बहुत बातचीत के बाद अंत में वह पत्थर पंद्रह लाख में बिका। व्यापारी मन ही मन सोचने लगा, चलो सस्ते में सौदा हो गया।
