इंटरनेट पर कैसी है हिन्दी की स्थिति?
हिन्दी। हमारी अपनी हिन्दी। हम सबकी हिन्दी। लेकिन क्या सचमुच हमारी यह भाषा हम सबकी भाषा है? इंटरनेट के कैनवास पर अपने शब्द फूलों से खिल-खिल जाने वाली हमारी हिन्दी को लेकर इतने भ्रम, भ्रांतियां और भड़काने वाले बयान आते रहे हैं कि आजादी के इतने वर्षों बाद भी हम फिर उसी मुहाने पर आ खड़े हैं यह सोचते हुए कि हिन्दी की जगह कहां है? अंगरेजी के बाद या और भी अन्य भारतीय भाषाओं के बाद?
पिछले दिनों हैदराबाद में इंटरनेट गवर्नेस फोरम में इंटरनेट पर भारतीय भाषाओं की उपस्थिति पर सवाल उठा। यह सवाल उस सर्वे के आधार पर उठा जिसमें यह पूछा गया था कि इंटरनेट यूजर किस भाषा के प्रयोग को प्राथमिकता देते हैं? जवाब आया कि 99 प्रतिशत यूजर अंग्रेजी चाहते हैं।
दो सवाल पूछे गए थे। पहला सवाल था-कौन सी वह भाषा है जिसे भारतीय सीखना चाहते हैं? और दूसरा सवाल था वह कौन सी भाषा है जिसे संपर्क के लिए इंटरनेट पर भारतीय इस्तेमाल करते हैं। दूसरा सवाल इंटरनेट पर हिन्दी सहित भारतीय भाषाओं की कम उपस्थिति की गाथा बयान करता है। बात यहां से आगे बढ़ी तो प्रश्न यह भी उभरा कि इंटरनेट पर हिन्दी में स्तरीय सामग्री है ही नहीं इसलिए दोनों ही सवालों का जवाब 'अंगरेजी' है।

भाषायी गौरव के लिए इस देश में कई विद्वानों ने लंबी लड़ाई लड़ी है और श्यामरुद्र पाठक जैसे भाषा सेनानी आज भी अपनी भाषा के लिए जेल जाना पसंद करते हैं। श्याम रुद्र जैसे प्रखर विद्वान और भाषायी क्रांतिकारी कौन है यह प्रश्न हिन्दी प्रेमियों को शोभा नहीं देता।
