एक तरफ देश और दुनिया का एक बहुत बड़ा तबका 'वर्क फ्रॉम होम' यानी घर से ही काम में लगा हुआ है, लेकिन एक वर्ग ऐसा भी है जिसे न तो कभी चिलचिलाती धूप की परवाह रही न ही वैश्विक महामारी कोरोना वायरस (Corona Virus) की। दरअसल, हम बात कर रहे हैं कि भारत के अन्नादाता किसान और उन मजदूरों की जो खेती से जुड़े काम में इन दिनों भी पूरी शिद्दत से जुटे हुए हैं।

एक तरफ जहां 5 नवंबर की रात 9 बजे पूरा देश दीपकों और मोमबत्तियों की टिमटिमाती रोशनी में जगमगा रहा था, वहीं दूसरे दिन यानी 6 अप्रैल को सूरज की पहली किरण के साथ ही खेतों में किसान और मजदूर अपने काम में जुट गए थे।

जहां रात को दीये जलाकर कोरोना के खिलाफ लड़ाई के लिए एकजुटता प्रदर्शित की गई, वहीं खेतों में काम कर रहे किसानों और मजदूरों ने भी अपनी तरफ से यह संदेश दिया कि हम भी कोरोना की जंग में सिपाही हैं। क्योंकि लॉकडाउन के बीच यदि अन्न लोगों तक नहीं पहुंचेगा तो पेटों की भूख कैसे शांत होगी। ...और खाली पेट कोई जंग नहीं जीती जा सकती।

यांत्रिक खेती के दौर में किसानों का एक तबका ऐसा भी है, जो आधुनिक साधन नहीं जुटा पाता। ऐसे में निंदाई-गुड़ाई, कटाई-छनाई के समय उन्हें मजदूरों की जरूरत पड़ती है। इस समय खेतों में गेहूं, चने आदि फसलों की कटाई हो रही है। यूं तो यांत्रिक खेती में भी थोड़े मजदूरों की जरूरत तो होती ही है।

भले ही लॉकडाउन है, लेकिन ऐसी स्थिति में किसान में अपनी फसल को खेतों में खड़ी नहीं छोड़ सकते। क्योंकि यदि ऐसा करेंगे तो फसल बर्बाद हो जाएगी। इसका नकारात्मक पक्ष यह होगा कि किसान को नुकसान होगा ही आम आदमी को भी महंगी दरों पर अन्न खरीदने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ेगा।

इंदौर जिले के ही शिक्षित किसान ईश्वर सिंह चौहान ने वेबदुनिया से बातचीत में बताया कि ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में भीड़भाड़ नहीं होती, घर भी एक-दूसरे से दूर होते हैं। ऐसे में सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग का पालन भी हो जाता है और कोरोना का भय भी नहीं होता है। हालांकि लोग फिर भी सतर्क हैं। वैसे भी गेहूं की कटाई आदि का काम कृषि यंत्रों से हो जाता है। अत: कम से कम मजदूरों में काम चल जाता है।

चौहान ने बताया कि लहसुन, आलू निकालने में ज्यादा मजदूरों की जरूरत होती, जो कि लॉकडाउन से पहले से ही निकाले जा चुके हैं। प्याज निकालने के लिए जरूर मजदूरों की जरूरत होगी। हालांकि फसल कटाई के दौर में उन मजदूरों को भी काम मिल रहा है, जो कृषि मजदूरी का काम नहीं करते थे। चूंकि बाहर काम नहीं मिल रहा है, ऐसे में उन्होंने परिवार चलाने के लिए खेतों में ही काम करना शुरू कर दिया है।

शहरों में सोशल मीडिया और माध्यम से लोग सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग को लेकर जागरूक हो रहे हैं, वहीं कुछ लोग ऐसे भी हैं सब कुछ जान-समझकर भी घर से बाहर निकलने में अपनी शान समझते हैं। दूसरी गांवों में किसान-मजदूर काम में जुटकर भी सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग का पालन कर रहे हैं। परंपरागत तौर-तरीके भी उनकी इस काम में मदद कर रहे हैं।
