- मधु पाल (मुंबई से)
भारत में जहां हर गली और चौराहे पर अंग्रेज़ी सिखाने के लिए कोचिंग सेंटर खुले हुए हैं, वहीं एक ऐसी लड़की भी है जो हिन्दी की कोचिंग चलाकर लाखों कमा रही है। दिल्ली की रहने वाली 26 साल की पल्लवी सिंह न केवल देश में आए विदेशियों को हिन्दी सिखाती हैं बल्कि मॉडल, सिंगर, बॉलीवुड स्टार्स को भी हिन्दी सीखने में मदद करती है।
उनकी ख़ासियत ये है कि वो चाचा चौधरी, पिंकी, चंपक, नंदन और प्रेमचंद की कहानियां सुनाकर लोगों को हिन्दी सिखाती हैं। यही उनके सफल होने का राज़ है। क़रीब पांच साल पहले उन्होंने हिन्दी सिखाने का काम शुरू किया था और आज वो सेलिब्रिटी टीचर बन चुकी हैं।
क्या है पल्लवी का तरीका
पल्लवी का हिन्दी सिखाने का स्टाइल बाकियों से थोड़ा हटके है। वो अपने स्टूडेंट के घर जाकर या किसी कैफ़े में कॉफ़ी की चुस्कियां लेते हुए मज़ेदार तरीके से हिन्दी सिखाती हैं।
पल्लवी कहती है, "मैं अपनी क्लासेस में हास्य इस्तेमाल करती हूं ताकि मेरे विद्यार्थियों को पढ़ने में मज़ा आए। इसलिए मैं हिन्दी कॉमिक चाचा चौधरी, पिंकी और चंपक पढ़ने को देती हूं। इन कहानियों में बहुत सरल शब्दों का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है और उनके साथ बने हुए चित्र क्या कह रहे हैं, इसे समझने में बहुमत मदद करते हैं।"
वो आगे कहती हैं, "ये कॉमिक्स हमारी संस्कृति और पहनावे को भी दर्शाती हैं। उदहारण के तौर पर चाचा चौधरी की पगड़ी और उस पगड़ी से जुड़े मान सम्मान की बातें। पिंकी नाम के कॉमिक में पिंकी की माँ साड़ी पहनती हैं और घर की चीज़ों के बारे में बात करती है। ऐसी कई छोटी-छोटी बातें, जो हम अपने रोज़मर्रा की ज़िंदगियों में इस्तेमाल करते हैं, उन्ही बातों का ज़िक्र होता है इन कॉमिक्स में और जिसकी वजह से मेरे स्टूडेंट्स बोलचाल की भाषा सीख जाते हैं।"

बॉलीवुड फ़िल्मों का सहारा
पल्लवी हिन्दी सिखाने के लिए सिर्फ हिन्दी कॉमिक्स ही नहीं बल्कि बॉलीवुड फ़िल्मों का भी सहारा लेती हैं। वो अपने स्टूडेंट्स को बॉलीवुड फिल्मों की डीवीडी भी देती हैं। वो कहती हैं, "मैं अपने स्टूडेंट्स को बिमल राय, सत्यजीत रे की फिल्मों की डीवीडी देती हूं। उन फ़िल्मों में हमारे भारत की छवि दिखती है। मैं मानती हूं कि हिन्दी सीखने के लिए बॉलीवुड फ़िल्में भी बहुत अच्छा विकल्प है।"
जैकलीन और लिसा रे हैं उनकी स्टूडेंट
उनके स्टूडेंट्स में 20 साल के युवा से लेकर 70 साल के बुजुर्ग तक हैं। पल्लवी कहती हैं, "ये लोग कई कारणों से हिन्दी सीखना चाहते हैं। कई लोग ऐसे होते हैं जो नौकरी या कारोबार के सिलसिले में भारत आते हैं और उनको अपने रोजमर्रा के कामों के लिए हिन्दी सीखनी होती है।"
"कुछ विदेशी पर्यटकों को यहां पर खरीदारी करने के लिए हिन्दी सीखनी होती है। अब तक मैं अमेरिका, कनाडा, ब्रिटेन, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, न्यूजीलैंड, अफ्रीका समेत दुनिया के कई देशों के लोगों को हिन्दी सीखने में मदद कर चुकी हूं। लेकिन मेरे काम को तब सफलता की बुलंदियों को छूने का मौका मिला जब अमेरीकी वाणिज्य दूतावास ने कुछ अप्रवासियों को हिन्दी सिखाने का काम मुझे दिया।"
अब तक पल्लवी भारत में सैकड़ों विदेशियों को हिन्दी सिखा चुकी हैं। उन्हें मल्टीनेशनल कंपनियां अपने स्टाफ और उनके परिवार वालों को हिन्दी सिखाने के लिए संपर्क करती हैं। उनके स्टूडेंट की लिस्ट में जाने-माने लेखक विलियम डेलरिम्पल, बॉलीवुड अभिनेत्री जैकलीन फर्नांडिस, लिसा रे, नटालिया डि लुसिओ और लुसिंडा निकोलस शामिल हैं।

'हिन्दी सिखाने में शर्म कैसी?'
इंजीनियरिंग और साइकॉलजी की पढ़ाई के बाद हिन्दी ट्यूटर के रूप में करियर बनाने का निर्णय लेने वाली पल्लवी कहती है कि करियर की शुरुआत में उन्हें कई चुनौतियों का सामना करना पड़ा। उनके माता-पिता इसके ख़िलाफ थे। वो कहते थे कि इंजीनियरिंग की पढ़ाई छोड़ कर ये क्या करने का भूत सवार हो गया है।
वो पल्लवी से काफ़ी नाराज़ रहे और दोस्तों ने भी उनके काम को संजीदगी ने नहीं लिया। वो अक्सर इसका मज़ाक उड़ाया करते थे। पल्लवी कहती हैं, "वो कहते थे कि मैं पागल हो गई हूं। तुम्हें कुछ और करने को नहीं मिल रहा है क्या? इस काम से कितनी कमाई होगी? कौन आएगा हिन्दी सीखने? पार्ट टाइम ठीक है लेकिन इसे अपना करियर बनाना बेवकूफी है।"
"काम से संतुष्ट हूं"
पल्लवी ने लोगों की बातों को कभी ज्यादा तरजीह नहीं दी। वो अपनी धुन में चलती रहीं और हिन्दी सिखाने के काम खूब मेहनत की। वो कहती हैं, "मुझे अपने काम से संतुष्टि का आभास होता है। मैं उन खुशनसीब लोगों में से हूं, जिन्हें अपने काम में बहुत मज़ा आता है।"
"मैं अगर अपने अनुभव की बात करूं तो मेरे भी अच्छे और बुरे क्लाइंट्स होते हैं। देखा जाए तो हमारे समाज में हिन्दी टीचर की एक 'स्टीरियोटाइप छवि' है, जिससे मैं अलग हूं। इसलिए जब लोगों को मेरे बारे में पता चलता है तो वो काफी हैरान होते हैं। मेरा पहनावा और अंदाज़ देखकर वो चौंकते हैं।"
