પ્રેમનો એકરાર તો માત્ર એક રસ્તો છે એકબીજાની નજીક આવવાનો. સાચો પ્રેમ કરવો કઠીન નથી, મુશ્કેલ છે તો
માત્ર તે પ્રેમની રજુઆત કરવી, પ્રેમ તો દરેક વ્યક્તિ કરે છે પરંતુ તેની વચ્ચેનો ફર્ક માત્ર એટલો જ છે કે કોઈ એકતરફ પ્રેમ કરીને આખી જીંદગી પસાર કરી દે છે તો કોઈ તે પ્રેમની રજુઆત કરીને તેને મેળવી લે છે. પ્રેમ તો એક એવું ઘાસ છે જે હૃદય રૂપી પ્રેમાળ જમીન પર જાતે જ ઉગી નીકળે છે. થોડાક લોકો માને છે કે પ્રેમની રજુઆત કરવા માટે શબ્દોની જરૂરત નથી પડતી અને થોડાક કહે છે કે જ્યાં સુધી તમે સામેવાળી વ્યક્તિને જણાવશો નહિ ત્યાં સુધી તમારી અંદર ઉગી રહેલ પ્રેમ રૂપી ઘાસ વિશે તેની કેવી રીતે ખબર પડશે. બંને વાતો પોત પોતાની જગ્યાએ સાચી છે. ખુબ જ ઓછા લોકો હોય છે જે હાવભાવ જોઈને સમજી જાય છે. ઘણાં લોકો એવા પણ હોય છે કે જેઓ પોતાના પ્રેમની રજુઆત નથી કરી શકતાં અને તેને ગુમાવી દે છે.
જ્યાર સુધી મને ખબર છે ત્યાર સુધી પ્રેમને કોઈ શબ્દોની જરૂરત નથી હોતી. તે તેની જાતે જ હાવભાવ દ્વારા સમજી જઈને તેની આંખો અને ચહેરા વડે સામેવાળી વ્યક્તિને પ્રભાવિત કરે છે. હિન્દી ફિલ્મોમાં ખાસ કરીને આપણે આવું જોઈએ છીએ પરંતુ ઘણાં લોકોએ આનો અનુભવ પણ કર્યો હશે. કદાચ અહીંયા તમારૂ તર્ક હોઈ શકે છે કે પ્રેમને રજુ કરવાની જરૂરત નથી હોતી.
એકબીજાની વચ્ચેના ભ્રમને દૂર કરવા માટે અને પોતાની સ્થિતિને પ્રગટ કરવા માટે પ્રેમની રજુઆત કરવાની જરૂરત પડે છે. પ્રેમનો અનુભવ થયા બાદ જ આપણે તેની રજુઆત કરીએ છીએ જ્યારે કે આપણને ખબર પડે છે કે આપણી અને સામીવાળી વ્યક્તિની પરિસ્થિતિ એક જેવી જ છે.

સાચી વાત કહું તો જોડીઓ ભગવાન પહેલાંથી જ બનાવીને મોકલે છે જે મળે છે આ દુનિયામાં આવીને અને તે પણ ટેલીપથી મારફત. ચાલતાં ચાલતાં કોઈને જોઈને એકાએક આપણા પગલાં કેમ રોકાઈ જાય છે? ભીડની અંદર એકાએક કોઈ આપણું લાગવા લાગે છે. કોઈ અજાણ્યા વ્યક્તિનો સાથ મળવાથી મન એકદમ ખુશ થઈ જાય છે. કેમકે આપણે જેને નથી ઓળખી શકતાં તેને હૃદય અનુભવી લે છે. જેવી રીતે કોઈ મોબાઈલ ટાવરની પાસે પહોંચતાની સાથે જ મોબાઈલ નેટવર્ક પકડી લે છે.
હૃદયનો અવાજ ધીમે ધીમે મગજ સુધી પણ પહોચી જાય છે અને આંખો પણ સમજવા લાગી જાય છે. ત્રણેય વસ્તુ એક જ જગ્યાએ કેન્દ્રીત થવા લાગે છે ત્યારે પ્રેમની શરૂઆત થાય છે.
જો કોઈ એકાએક તમારી સામે આવીને તમને 'આઈ લવ યુ' કહી દે તો તમે તેને સામે પ્રત્યુત્તરમાં 'આઈ લવ યુ ટુ મચ' કહી દેશો? ના, કેમકે તે શબ્દો માત્ર તમારા કાને જ સાંભળ્યાં છે, તે વખતે તમારૂ હૃદય, મગજ અને આંખો ગેરહાજર હતી. હા, આ જ શબ્દો તે વ્યક્તિ બોલે છે જે તમને પ્રેમ કરે છે, જેની પાસે જતાં જ તમારૂ મન ખુશ થઈ જાય છે, જેને જોઈને આંખો અને મનને શાંતિ થાય છે તો કદાચ તમે ખુશીને લીધે પાગલ થઈ જશો.
પ્રેમની અંદર એટલી બધી તાકાત હોય છે કે તમને પ્રેમ કરનાર જો ગલીમાંથી પસાર થઈ જાય તો તેનો અણસાર પણ તમને આવી જાય છે. હજારોની ભીડમાં પણ એક જ પળમાં તેને ઓળખી લઈએ છીએ. ક્યારેક ક્યારેક આપણે ઘરેથી વિચારીને નીકળીએ છીએ કે હે ભગવાન તે રસ્તામાં મળે તો ખરેખર આપણને તે રસ્તામાં જ મળી જાય છે. તે વખતે બંનેની સ્થિતિ એક જેવી જ હોય છે હોઠ કઈ બોલી નથી શકતાં, આંખો શરમથી ઝુકેલી હોય છે, પગ ધ્રુજતાં હોય છે, અને એકબીજાને બોલાવવાનો પ્રયત્ન હોય છે પણ હા આ બધુ ત્યારે જ બને છે જ્યારે તમે પહેલાં પ્રેમ ન કર્યો હોય...
