જાણો શા માટે જરૂરી છે શ્રાદ્ધ કરવું ?

વૈદિક કે પૌરાણિક રીતથી કરો પણ શ્રાદ્ધ કરવું જરૂરી છે. કારણકે તમારા પૂર્વજ તમારી પાસે જ મુક્તિની આશા લગાવી બેસ્યા છે. એમના જીવંત રહેવા દરમિયાન તમે તેમને ક્યારેક નિરાશ કર્યા હોય, તો મૃત્યુ પછી તો એમની સેવા કરી જ શકો છો.

વિશેષત : અશ્વિન અમાવસ્યાના દિવસે એ બારણા પર આવીને બેસી જાય છે. જો એ દિવસે એમનો શ્રાદ્ધ નહી કરાય ત્યારે એ શ્રાપ આપીને પરત જાય છે. આથી એ દિવસે પત્ર-પુષ્પ-ફળ અને જળ-તર્પણથી યથાશક્તિ એમને તૃપ્ત કરવું જોઈએ. શ્રાદ્ધ વિમુખ નહી હોવું જોઈએ.

ગરૂણ પુરાણ મુજબ પિતર ઋણ મુક્તિ માટે : કલ્પદેવ કુર્વીત સમયે શ્રાદ્ધ કુલે કશ્ચિન્ન સીદયિ. આયુ: પુત્રાન યશ સ્વર્ગં કીર્તિ પુષ્ટિં બલં શ્રિયમ. પશુન સૌખ્યં ધનં ધાન્યં પ્રાપ્નુયાત પિતૃપૂજનાત દેવકાર્યાદપિ સદા પિતૃકાર્ય વિશિષ્યતે દેવતાભ્ય : પિતૃણા હિ પૂર્વામાપ્યાયન શુભમ

એટલે સમયપર શ્રાદ્ધ કરવાથી કુળમાં કોઈ દુખી નહી રહેતો. પિતરોની પૂજા કરીને માણસ આવક, પુત્ર, યશ, સ્વર્ગ, કીર્તિ, પુષ્ટિ, બળ, શ્રી, પશુ, સુખ અને ધન-ધાન્ય પ્રાપ્ત કરે છે. દેવકાર્યથી પણ પિતૃકાર્યનો ખાસ મહત્વ છે. દેવતાઓથી પહેલા પિતરને પ્રસન્ન કરવું વધારે કલ્યાણકારી છે.

* શ્રાદ્ધ કરવાનો સમય તુરૂપ કાળ જણાવ્યુ છે એટલે કે બપોરે 12 થી 3ના મધ્યે

* શ્રાદ્ધમાં બ્રાહ્મણ અને ગાયનો ખૂબ મહત્વ છે.

* શ્રાદ્ધના ભોજનમાં ચણાના લોટનો પ્રયોગ વર્જિત છે.

ખાસ: શ્રાદ્ધમાં તર્પણ પંચબલિ કર્મ જરૂર કરવા જોઈએ. સફેદ પુષ્પ અને સફેદ ભોજન કામમાં લેવા જોઈએ. સૂતકમાં બ્રાહ્મણને ભોજન નહી કરાવું જોઈએ. માત્ર ગાયને રોટલી આપો.

સૌભાગ્યવયી મહિલાની મૃત્યુ પર નિયમ છે કે એમનો શ્રાદ્ધ નવમી તિથિને કરવું જોઈએ, કારણકે એ તિથિને શ્રાદ્ધ પક્ષમાં અવિધવા નવમી ગણાય છે. 9ની સંખ્યા ભારતીય દર્શનમાં શુભ ગણાય છે. સંન્યાસિઓના શ્રાદ્ધની તિથિ દ્વાદશી ગણાય છે(બારમી)

શાસ્ત્ર દ્વારા માર્યા ગયેલા લોકોની તિથિ ચતુર્દશી ગણાય છે. વિધાન આ રીતે પણ છે કે કોઈની પણ મૃત્યુ જ્ઞાન ન હોય કે પિતરોની ઠીકથી જાણકારી ન હોય તો સર્વપિતૃ અમાવસ્યાના દિવસે શ્રાદ્ધ કરાય છે.
