કોરોના દર્દીઓની સારવાર કરતી નવી સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલના સુરક્ષા વિભાગે 'ખારા રણમાં મીઠી વિરડી સમાન' સેવાનો નવો આયામ રચ્યો છે. સિવિલના સુરક્ષા કર્મચારીઓ દર્દીઓ, તેમના સ્વજનો, સિવિલ કેમ્પસની સુરક્ષા વ્યવસ્થાની કાળજી તો રાખે છે, સાથે એમના મરણમૂડી સમાન કિંમતી સામાન સાચવવાની ફરજ પણ બજાવે છે.
જ્યારે કોઈ દર્દીને રજા આપવામાં આવે અથવા મૃત્યુ પામે ત્યારે નજીકના સ્વજનો જરૂરી કામમાં કે મૃતકની અંતિમવિધિમાં વ્યસ્ત હોવાના કારણે દર્દીનો સામાન લઈ જવાનું ભુલી જતા હોય છે. પણ નવી સિવિલ સિકયુરીટી ટીમે ફરજ અને માનવતાના માર્ગે ચાલી અત્યાર સુધીમાં સોના-ચાંદીના મૂલ્યવાન ઘરેણાં જેવી કિંમતી વસ્તુઓ તથા રોકડ રકમ, મોબાઈલ સહિતની અન્ય યલો મેટલ વસ્તુઓ મળી ૪૦થી વધુ મૃતક દર્દીઓના સ્વજનોને છેલ્લા મહિના દરમિયાન અંદાજીત રૂ. આઠ લાખનો સામાન પરત કરી, ફરજ સાથે ઉમદા અને પ્રેરણાત્મક ઉદાહરણ પુરૂ પાડ્યું છે.

સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલમાં ચીફ સિકયુરીટી ઓફિસર હરેન ગાંધી જણાવે છે કે, અમારી ટીમે નવતર પ્રયોગ કર્યો છે. જ્યારે દર્દી દાખલ થાય ત્યારે જ તેના નજીકના બે સંબંધીઓના નંબર લેવામાં આવે છે. દર્દીનું ચેકિંગ કરવામાં આવે છે, એ સમયે એમની પાસે મળેલી કિંમતી વસ્તુની નોંધ ઓર્નામેન્ટ રજિસ્ટરમાં કરી એમના સગાસંબધીઓનો સંપર્ક સાધી સામાન પરત સોંપી દેવામાં આવે છે.
તેઓ જણાવે છે કે, કોરોનાની બીજી લહેરમાં નવી સિવિલમાં દર્દીઓની સંખ્યા પણ વધી રહી છે, ત્યારે અમારી સિક્યુરિટી સભ્યોની ટીમ દ્વારા એક ખાસ મુહિમ હાથ ધરવામાં આવી છે. જેમાં સારવાર લઈ રહેલા તેમજ જે નવા દર્દીઓ એડમિટ થાય એમની પાસે કિંમતી વસ્તુઓ શું શું છે એની માહિતી એકત્ર કરી આવા ૧૦૦ જેટલા દર્દીઓની પાસેથી મળેલી કિંમતી ચીજવસ્તુઓ જેવી કે, સોના-ચાંદીના દાગીના, ચેઈન, રિંગ, મોબાઈલ, રોકડ રકમ, બંગડી, કાનની બુટ્ટી, મંગળસૂત્ર જેવી વસ્તુઓ તેમના પરિવારજનોને સ્થળ પર જ પરત આપવામાં આવી હતી. પરંતુ ઈમરજન્સીના સમયે દર્દીઓને તત્કાલ સારવારની જરૂરિયાત હોય તેવા સમયે દાખલ કરાયેલા દર્દી પાસે ઘરેણા સહિતનો કિંમતી સામાન એમ જ રહી જતો હોય છે.
આ સ્થિતિમાં સ્વજનો વ્યસ્ત હોય અને કિંમતી વસ્તુઓ લેવાનું ભૂલી ગયા હોય તો એમને કોલ કરી સિવિલમાં બોલાવીને મૃતક કોરોનાગ્રસ્ત દર્દીની ચીજવસ્તુઓ પરત આપવામાં આવે છે, અને આ સામાન મળી ગયાનો સંમતિપત્ર પણ લખાવી લેવામાં આવે છે. છેલ્લા મહિના દરમિયાન ૪૦ મૃતકોના સ્વજનોને તેમની ચીજવસ્તુઓ પરત આપવામાં આવી છે. આ કાર્યમાં સુરક્ષા ટીમના હુસૈન સાલેહ, નિતીન રાણા, ફૈઝાન શેખ, વિકી જરીવાલા જહેમત ઉઠાવી રહ્યા છે.
હરેન ગાંધી વધુમાં જણાવે છે કે, સિક્યુરિટીની કામગીરીની સાથે-સાથે કોરોના દર્દીઓની કિંમતી વસ્તુની સુરક્ષા કરવાની પણ અમારી નૈતિક ફરજ છે. જેથી દર્દી એડમિટ થતાની સાથે જ ચેકિંગ કરી દર્દીઓ પાસે જો કોઈ કિંમત ચીજવસ્તુ મળે તો પરિવારજનોને સોંપી દેવામાં આવે છે. જે દર્દીઓના પરિવારને એમની કિંમતી વસ્તુઓ આપી ફોટો લઈ લે છે. કારણ કે ઘણીવાર દર્દીઓ માનસિક રીતે પડી ભાંગ્યા હોય છે ત્યારે એમની પાસે રહેલી કિંમતી વસ્તુઓનું પણ ધ્યાન રહેતું નથી. જેથી આ પ્રયાસ થકી દર્દીની સંભાળ સાથે એમના સોના-ચાંદીના ઘરેણા, રૂપિયાની પણ સિક્યુરિટી રહે છે.”
કામરેજના નનસાડ ખાતે રહેતા ૬૫ વર્ષીય કંચનબેન હિરાણીનું ગત તા.૧૫મી એપ્રિલના રોજ કોવિડની સારવાર દરમિયાન દુઃખદ અવસાન થયું હતું. ત્યારે તેમના કિંમતી સામાન તેમના ભત્રીજા રજનીભાઈને સહીસલામત પરત અપાયો હતો. રજનીભાઈએ સિવિલની ઉમદા ભાવનાની સરાહના કરતા કહ્યું કે, 'સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલમાં અમારા સ્વજનને બચાવવામાં સિવિલે તમામ પ્રયાસો કર્યા, તેમના નિધન બાદ પણ કિંમતી જણસ સાચવી રાખી અને પરત આપવા માટે અમને સામેથી બોલાવ્યા છે. આ પ્રકારની સેવાની ભાવના મારા માટે ખૂબ સુખદ અનુભવ છે.
કોરોનાથી મૃત્યુ પામેલા ભિક્ષુકના સ્વજનોને સિવિલના કર્મચારીઓએ રોકડા રૂ.૧૪૮૫૦ પરત આપ્યા હતા. નવી સિવિલની કોવિડ-૧૯ હોસ્પિટલમાં શહેરના ભેસ્તાન વિસ્તારમા રહેતા એક ભિક્ષુક દાખલ થયા હતા. એ સમયે તેમની પાસે રૂ.૧૪૮૫૦ની રોકડ હતી. તેમને સમજાવીને રોકડ રકમ સુરક્ષિત રહે અને ગેરવલ્લે ન જાય એ માટે સિક્યુરિટી ટીમે લોકરમાં સાચવી રાખી હતી.
તેમનું દુખદ અવસાન થતા જેની રસીદ પણ ભિક્ષુકના પરિચિતોને મોકલવામાં આવી હતી. જેથી બાદમાં આ રકમ તેમને પરત મળી શકે ગત તા.૧૩મીના રોજ કોરોનાથી મૃત્યુ પામેલા આ ભિક્ષુકના સ્વજનોને રૂબરૂ બોલાવીને સિવિલના કર્મચારીઓએ હાથોહાથ રોકડા રૂ.૧૪૮૫૦ પરત આપ્યા હતા, અને માનવીય સંવેદનાનું ઉત્તમ ઉદાહરણ પૂરું પાડ્યું હતું
