રાજ્યમાં વરસી રહેલા સાર્વત્રિક વરસાદને પરિણામે સંભવિત પરિસ્થિતિને પહોંચી વળવા અને આગોતરા આયોજન માટે મુખ્ય સચિવ ડો. અનિલ મૂકીમે રાજ્યના સ્ટેટ ઇમરજન્સી ઓપરેશન સેન્ટર-ગાંધીનગર ખાતે સમીક્ષા બેઠક યોજી હતી. જેમાં વિવિધ વિભાગના ઉચ્ચ અધિકારીઓ જોડાયા હતા અને તમામ પરિસ્થિતિને પહોંચી વળવા રાજ્યનું વહીવટી તંત્ર સુસજ્જ છે.
રાહત કમિશનર ડો. હર્ષદ પટેલે સમીક્ષા બેઠક બાદ મીડિયાને વિગતો આપતા કહ્યું કે, આગામી બે દિવસમાં ઉત્તર ગુજરાત, કચ્છ, સૌરાષ્ટ્રના અમુક વિસ્તારમાં ભારેથી અતિભારે વરસાદ થવાની હવામાન વિભાગની આગાહી છે. સંભવિત પરિસ્થિતિને પહોંચી વળવા માટે રાજ્યનું અને સ્થાનિક વહીવટીતંત્ર સુસજ્જ છે. ઉપરાંત ૧૩ NDRFની ટીમો તૈનાત કરી દેવાઈ છે. અને SDRFની ૧૧ તથા NDRFની ૦૨ ટીમો એમ અન્ય ૧૩ ટીમો રિઝર્વ રાખવામાં આવી છે.

રાજ્યમાં અતિભારે વરસાદ થવાની આગાહી છે. જેમાં બનાસકાંઠા, પાટણ, મોરબી અને કચ્છ જિલ્લામાં ભારે વરસાદની સંભાવનાને પરિણામે સ્થાનિક વહીવટી તંત્રને સતર્ક રહેવા સૂચનાઓ જારી કરી દેવાઈ છે. એ જ રીતે આગામી બે દિવસમાં ઉત્તર ગુજરાતના બનાસકાંઠા,પાટણ, મહેસાણા સાબરકાંઠા, ગાંધીનગર અને અરવલ્લી જિલ્લાઓમાં તથા પૂર્વ મધ્ય ગુજરાતના દાહોદ, મહિસાગર, છોટાઉદેપુર, ખેડા, અમદાવાદ, પંચમહાલ અને વડોદરા. દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતના નર્મદા, ભરૂચ અને સુરત તથા સૌરાષ્ટ્ર અને કચ્છ વિસ્તારના જુનાગઢ, દેવભૂમિ દ્વારકા, કચ્છ સુરેન્દ્રનગર, રાજકોટ, જામનગર પોરબંદર, મોરબી સહિતના જિલ્લાઓમાં ભારેથી અતિભારે વરસાદ પડવાની આગાહી હવામાન વિભાગે વ્યક્ત કરી છે. જેના આધારે સમગ્ર સ્થિતિ પર રાજ્યકક્ષાએથી સતત મોનિટરીંગ કરવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે. આજે યોજાયેલી બેઠકમાં મુખ્ય સચિવ દ્વારા જરૂરી સમીક્ષા અને સૂચનો કરાયા હતા.
રાજ્યમાં ૫૭ તાલુકાઓ એવા છે કે જેમાં મોસમનો ૧૦૦૦ મીમી થી વધુ વરસાદ વરસ્યો છે. એ જ રીતે ૧૨૯ તાલુકાઓમાં ૫૦૧ થી ૧૦૦૦ મીમી સુધી, ૬૩ તાલુકાઓમાં ૨૫૧ થી ૫૦૦ મીમી સુધી અને માત્ર બે તાલુકામાં ૧૨૬ થી ૨૫૦ મીમી સુધી વરસાદ વરસ્યો છે. જ્યારે એક પણ તાલુકો એવો નથી કે જ્યાં પાંચ ઈંચથી ઓછો વરસાદ વરસ્યો ના હોય. આમ સમગ્ર રાજ્યમાં મોસમનો સરેરાશ વરસાદ ૯૪.૫૭ ટકા જેટલો થઈ ગયો છે. જેમાં કચ્છ ઝોનમાં સૌથી વધુ ૧૬૨.૮૧ ટકા, સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં ૧૨૩.૫૯ ટકા, દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતમાં ૮૬.૧૯ ટકા, ઉત્તર ગુજરાતમાં ૭૫.૧૫ ટકા અને પૂર્વ મધ્ય ગુજરાતમાં ૭૩.૭૭ ટકા સરેરાશ વરસાદ નોંધાયો છે.
રાજ્યમાં થયેલ સારા વરસાદના પરિણામે સરદાર સરોવર ડેમમાં હાલ ૨,૦૩,૨૩૭ MCFT જળસંગ્રહ થયો છે, જે કુલ સંગ્રહશક્તિના ૬૦.૮૩ ટકા જેટલો છે. હાલ ૧૨૪.૫૨ મીટરે જળ સપાટી છે. તે ઉપરાંત રાજ્યના ૨૦૫ જળાશયો પૈકી ૧૦૮ જળાશયો હાઇ એલર્ટ પર, ૧૪ જળાશયો એલર્ટ પર અને ૧૭ જળાશયોને વોર્નિંગ આપવામાં આવી છે. ૧૦૦ ટકાથી વધુ ભરાયેલા ડેમ ૬૮ છે. રાજ્યમાં કુલ ૪૪ નદીઓ અને ૪૧ મોટા તળાવ ઓવરફલો થયા છે.
રાજ્યમાં છેલ્લા બે માસમાં થયેલાં વરસાદને પરિણામે ૧૩,૧૦૮ નાગરિકોને સલામત સ્થળે સ્થળાંતરિત કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા. જે પૈકી હાલ ૨૦૭૭ લોકો આશ્રયસ્થાનોમાં છે. તેમણે ઉમેર્યું કે રાજ્યમાં વરસાદને પરિણામે ચાર જિલ્લાના ૪૩ ગામમાં વીજ પુરવઠાની સ્થિતિને અસર થઈ છે જે સત્વરે પૂર્વવત કરવા જરૂરી સૂચનાઓ આપી દેવાઈ છે. એ જ રીતે રાજ્યના એસટી બસની ૬ રૂટ પરની ૨૦ ટ્રીપો બંધ કરવામાં આવી છે.
ઉપરાંત વરસાદની સ્થિતિના પગલે સ્ટેટ હાઇવેના ૮ અને પંચાયત હસ્તકના ૧૨૭ તથા અન્ય ૩ મળી કુલ ૧૩૮ રસ્તાઓ બંધ કરાયા છે. તે ઉપરાંત ઉત્તર અને દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતના દરિયાકાંઠે તા.૨૫મી ઓગસ્ટ સુધી માછીમારોને દરિયો ન ખેડવા આદેશો કરાયા છે. તેમજ રાજ્યમાં થઈ રહેલા સારા વરસાદને પરિણામે ૯૪.૯૯ ટકા જેટલું વાવેતર થઇ ગયું છે. આ બેઠકમાં મહેસુલ વિભાગના અગ્ર સચિવ પંકજકુમાર સહિત વિવિધ વિભાગના ઉચ્ચ સનદી અધિકારીઓ જોડાયા હતા.
