એક જ અઠવાડિયામાં 3 મૃતકોએ 9 દર્દીને આપ્યું જીવતદાન, 6 કિડની, 3 લિવર, 1 સ્વાદુપિંડનું મળ્યું દાન

ગુજરાત સરકારની સ્ટેટ ઓર્ગન એન્ડ ટિશ્યૂ ટ્રાન્સપ્લાન્ટ ઑર્ગેનાઇઝેશન (SOTTO) અંતર્ગત એક અઠવાડિયામાં ત્રણ બ્રેઇનડેડ દર્દીઓના અંગોનું દાન મેળવીને જરૂરિયાતમંદ દર્દીઓમાં સફળતાપૂર્વક પ્રત્યારોપણ કરાયું છે. આપણા સમાજમાં અંગદાન પ્રત્યે પ્રવર્તતી અલ્પ જાગૃતિને નજર સમક્ષ રાખવામાં આવે તો આ એક મોટી સિદ્ધિ છે.

મધ્ય પ્રદેશના રતલામના કલેક્ટરને ત્યાં રસોઇયા તરીકે કામ કરતા ભગીરથભાઈ પરમારના 20 વર્ષના પુત્ર આકાશ પરમારને બ્રેઇનડેડ જાહેર કરાતા ભગીરથભાઈએ આકાશની બે કિડની, એક લિવર અને એક સ્વાદુપિંડનું મહાદાન કર્યું. આકાશની એક કિડનીનું રાજકોટની 11 વર્ષની દિકરીના શરીરમાં અને બીજી કિડનીનું બનાસકાંઠાની 18 વર્ષની યુવતીના શરીરમાં પ્રત્યારોપણ કરાયું છે. જ્યારે લિવરનું ભૂજના એક 50 વર્ષીય વ્યક્તિના શરીરમાં પ્રત્યારોપણ કરાયું છે. આમ આકાશના અંગોથી ત્રણ લોકોને નવજીવન પ્રાપ્ત થયું.

આવી જ રીતે જામનગરના વતની લખન દિનેશભાઈ પરમારનું નિધન થતા તેમના સગાવ્હાલાઓએ પણ અંગદાનનો પથ અપનાવી પોતાના સ્વજનની યાદોને જીવંત બનાવવાનો નિર્ણય કર્યો અને લખનભાઈની બે કિડની અને એક લિવરનું દાન કરાયું હતું. લખનભાઈની એક કિડનીનું ખેડાની 12 વર્ષીય દિકરીના શરીરમાં અને બીજી કિડનીનું ભાવનગરના 24 વર્ષીય વ્યક્તિના શરીરમાં પ્રત્યારોપણ કરાયું હતું. જ્યારે ગાંધીનગર સ્થિત 40 વર્ષીય એક પુરુષ દર્દીના શરીરમાં લખનભાઈના લિવરનું પ્રત્યારોપણ કરાયું છે.

ત્રીજા કિસ્સામાં રાજસ્થાનના ડુંગરપુર જિલ્લાના રહેવાસી જીવરામ રોતના આકસ્મિક નિધનના પગલે તેમના લિવરનું ભરૂચના એક 51 વર્ષીય ભાઈના શરીરમાં, એક કિડનીનું અમરેલીના એક 31 વર્ષીય બહેનના શરીરમાં અને બીજી કિડનીનું જૂનાગઢના એક 35 વર્ષીય બહેનના શરીરમાં પ્રત્યારોપણ કરાયું.

SOTTOના કન્વીનર ડોકટર પ્રાંજલ મોદીએ કહ્યું કે છેલ્લા 3 મહિનાથી અમદાવાદ સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલમાં SOTTO અંતર્ગત અંગદાનની કાર્યવાહી શરૂ થઈ છે, ત્યારથી ICU માં રોજ જઈ બ્રેઈનડેડ દર્દીઓના સગાનું કાઉન્સિલિંગ કરવામાં આવે છે. છેલ્લા 15 દર્દીઓ જે એલિજીબલ દર્દીઓ લાગતા હતા એમાંથી 7 સગાઓ અંગદાન માટે તૈયાર થયા.. જેના માધ્યમથી 11 લોકોને કિડની, 7 લોકોને લીવર, 4 લોકોને આંખો મળી છે. અમદાવાદ સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલના RMO ડોકટર સંજય સોલંકીએ કહ્યું કે SOTTO અંતર્ગત ડિસેમ્બર મહિનાથી અંગદાન કરવા માટે કામ શરૂ કરાયું, એક ટીમ બનાવી અને અંગદાન માટે અમે સેન્ટર શરૂ કરવા મંજૂરી માગી. સરકારી હોસ્પિટલમાં અમે અત્યાર સુધી 7 લોકોના અંગદાન કરાવ્યા. સરકારી હોય કે ખાનગી હોય પણ અમે માત્ર 5 દિવસમાં 3 લોકોના અંગદાન કરાવવામાં સફળતા મેળવી છે. જે એક રેકોર્ડ છે. આરોગ્ય કમિશનર જયપ્રકાશ શિવહરે એ ખુદ ઉપસ્થિત રહીને અંગદાન કરનાર પરિવાજનોને સર્ટિફિકેટ આપ્યું હતું.

આપણા સમાજમાં રહેલા સામાન્ય માણસો સમયાંતરે ખુબ મોટા કાર્યો કરતા હોય છે. અંગદાન આવું જ એક મહાનકાર્ય છે. પૈસેટકે સુખી અને કહેવાતા સાક્ષર-શિક્ષિત લોકો જે નિર્ણય લેવામાં ખચકાતા જોવા મળે છે એ અંગદાનનું મહાન કાર્ય કરવામાં માલેતુજારોની તુલનાએ ગરીબ માણસો અવ્વલ જોવા મળે છે. આવા જ નાના લોકોના ત્રણ વિભિન્ન પરિવારોએ છેલ્લા એક અઠવાડિયામાં અમદાવાદ સિવિલમાં પોતાના બ્રેઈનડેડ સ્વજનના અંગદાન કરીને સમાજને સાચી રાહ ચીંધી છે.

કહેવાય છે એક સ્વજન માટે પોતાના આત્મજના અંગદાનનો નિર્ણય સ્વાભાવિક રીતે કઠીન હોય છે, એ પરિસ્થિતિ ખુબ અઘરી હોય છે. પણ આ પ્રકારના મક્કમ નિર્ણયથી જ માનવતાની મહાનતાનો આરંભ થાય છે. જન્મ અને મૃત્યુ માણસના હાથની વાત નથી, પરંતુ જ્યારે આપણને ખબર હોય કે આપણું વ્હાલું સ્વજન હવે વધુ જીવી શકે તેમ નથી, ત્યારે જો સમજદારીપૂર્વક તેના અંગોનું દાન કરવાનો નિર્ણય લેવામાં આવે તો તેનાથી કોઇ જરૂરિયાતમંદને નવજીવન મળી શકે છે, કોઇનો કુટુંબનો માળો પિંખાતો બચી શકે છે. અંગદાનના માધ્યમથી આપણે જરૂરિયાતમંદ લોકોના શરીરમાં આપણા સ્વજનના અંગોને કાર્યરત્ જોઇને આપણું સ્વજન મૃત્યુ બાદ પણ જીવિત હોવાનો અહેસાસ અનુભવી શકીએ છીએ. અંગદાન એકમાત્ર એવો સાચો રસ્તો છે કે જે મૃત્યુ બાદ પણ માણસને જીવિત રાખે છે, અમર બનાવે છે.
