વસ્તુઓ યોગ્ય ખાનામાં મૂકો : ફ્રિઝમાં શાકભાજી, બટર, ચોકલેટ, માખણ, ઇંડાં, કોલ્ડડ્રિંક્સ માટે અલગ અલગ ખાનાની વ્યવસ્થા હોય જ છે. એટલે આડેધડ વસ્તુઓ મૂકવાને બદલે યોગ્ય ખાનામાં યોગ્ય વસ્તુઓ અને ખાદ્યપદાર્થ મૂકવા. શાકભાજી સાથે ચોકલેટ કે રાંધેલો ખોરાક વગેરે મૂકશો તો આ બધી વસ્તુઓની સ્મેલ ભેગી થઇને ફ્રિઝમાંથી અજીબ પ્રકારની દુર્ગંધ આવવા લાગે છે.

આ ઉપરાંત જેમ તમે ફ્રિઝને રોજ બહારથી સાફ કરો છો તેમ અંદરથી પણ સફાઈ કરવી જોઈએ. ફ્રિઝને દર પંદરથી વીસ દિવસે વ્યવસ્થિત સાફ કરવું જોઈએ. જો ફ્રિઝને ઘણાં વર્ષો થઈ ગયાં હોય અને તે જાતે ડિફ્રોસ્ટ ન થતું હોય તો તેને મેન્યુઅલી ડિફ્રોસ્ટ કરવાનું રાખો.
વસ્તુઓ યોગ્ય ખાનામાં મૂકો : ફ્રિઝમાં શાકભાજી, બટર, ચોકલેટ, માખણ, ઇંડાં, કોલ્ડડ્રિંક્સ માટે અલગ અલગ ખાનાની વ્યવસ્થા હોય જ છે. એટલે આડેધડ વસ્તુઓ મૂકવાને બદલે યોગ્ય ખાનામાં યોગ્ય વસ્તુઓ અને ખાદ્યપદાર્થ મૂકવા. શાકભાજી સાથે ચોકલેટ કે રાંધેલો ખોરાક વગેરે મૂકશો તો આ બધી વસ્તુઓની સ્મેલ ભેગી થઇને ફ્રિઝમાંથી અજીબ પ્રકારની દુર્ગંધ આવવા લાગે છે.

વાસી ખોરાક ન રાખવો : ફ્રિઝમાં ક્યારેય પણ બે-ત્રણ દિવસનો વાસી ખોરાક ન રાખવો જોઈએ. તેમાં બેક્ટેરિયા તો ઉત્પન્ન થાય છે અને ફ્રિઝમાંથી વાસ પણ આવે છે.
દુર્ગંધ દૂર કરવા આટલુ કરો : બેકિંગ સોડા રસોડા માટે ખૂબ જ ઉપયોગી પાઉડર છે. કોઈ પણ વાસણની સફાઇ તે સરળતાથી કરે છે. એક કપમાં થોડો બેકિંગ સોડા ભરીને રાખી મૂકવો. આમ કરવાથી ફ્રિઝમાંથી આવતી બધી વાસ દૂર થઈ જાય છે.
