દરેકને પર્વોત્સવ દિવાળીની પોતપોતાની રીતે ઉજવણી કરવાની હોંશ હોય છે. એક તરફ શ્રીમંતો દિવાળી ખૂબ ધામધૂમથી ઉજવતા હોય છે. તો બીજી બાજુ મધ્યમ વર્ગનાં લોકો પોતાના બજેટ પ્રમાણે દિવાળીની ઉજવણી કરે છે. ઉલ્લાસ અને આનંદના પર્વને યાદગાર બનાવવા બધાંને પોતપાતાના ઘરની પોતીકી રીતે સજાવટ કરવાની હોંશ હોય છે. ફટાકડાં, જાતજાતની અને ભાતભાતની વાનગી બનાવવાની તૈયારીમાં ગૃહિણીઓ લાગી જાય છે. ઘણાંને એકાદ બે વર્ષે આખા ઘરનું નવેસરથી પેઈન્ટિંગ કરાવવાનો શોખ હોય છે. તેઓ નવરાત્રિનું સમાપન થયા પછી આખા ઘરનું પેઈન્ટિંગ કરાવતા હોય છે. એમ કરાવવા પાછળ કદાચ આખા ઘરની સાફસફાઈ થવા ઉપરાંત ઘર ચકાચક લાગે તેવી તેમની નેમ હોઈ શકે. દર બે-ચાર વર્ષે નવેસરથી પેઈન્ટિંગ કરાવવાનું મધ્યમવર્ગના લોકોને પરવડતું નથી હોતું. પણ તેઓ મનગમતા વૉલપેપરથી સજાવટ કરી જ શકે.

દિવાળીમાં માટીનાં કોડિયાં બજારમાંથી લાવીને તેના પર મનગમતા રંગની ડિઝાઈન દોરીને ઉપર થોડી જરી ચિટકાડી શકો. દિવા પર ચમકતી સ્ટીક ચિટકાડી શકો. એથી દિવાને નવુું લૂક મળશે. રંગબેરંગી કાગળના દીવા બનાવી તેનું તોરણ દ્વાર પર લટકાવી શકો. બારણાંની બહાર હારબંધ ગોઠવેલા દીવાની આસપાસ ચારોટી અને અન્ય રંગોના મિશ્રણની મનગમતા આકારની રંગોળીની સજાવટ કરી શકો. ફ્લેટની બાલ્કનીમાં કાગળના નાનાં નાનાં ફાનસ બનાવીને હારબંધ લટકાવી શકો. હવે તો મીણના દીવા પણ મળે છે.
પેપર બબલ્સનો ઉપયોગ કરીને બલ્બ ચેન બનાવી શકો. રંગબેરંગી કાગળ ચોરસ આકારમાં કાપો. તેને સ્ટાર, ત્રિકોણ, હોડી જેવો આકાર આપો. ગોળાકારમાં કાપીને પછી બલ્બની આજુબાજુ દોરાથી વીંટાળો. લિવિંગ રૂમમાં ભૂરો, બેડરૂમમાં ગુલાબી, બાલ્કનીમાં લાલ અને ઘરના દ્વારની બહાર નવરંગના ઝિણા બલ્બનું તોરણ લગાવી ઝગમગાવી શકો.
રૂમમાં કાર્પેટ હોય તો દીવાલના રંગ સાથે કોન્ટ્રાસ રંગ ચાહો તો પસંદ કરી શકો. બલ્બ ચેન બાલ્કનીમાં લગાવશો તો આખી બાલ્કની ઝળાંહળાં થઈ જશે.
ચોકલેટ બોક્સ કેવી રીતે તૈયાર કરશો

પૂજા આરતીની થાળીની સજાવટ: પૂજા ઘરમાં ઘણાં પર્વોત્સવે ચાંદીના દીવાનો ઉપયોગ કરે છે. એ પાછળનો હેતુ એવો છે કે લક્ષ્મી પૂજનની રાતે લક્ષ્મીજી ઘરમાં પધારે ત્યારે ચાંદીના દિવાનો પ્રકાશ હોય તો તેઓ ભક્તો પર કૃપા વરસાવે છે. ઘણાં ચાંદીની થાળીમાં પૂજન-અર્ચનની સામગ્રી રાખે છે. પૂજન કર્યા પછી ચાંદીની થાળીમાં આરતી મૂકી એની આસપાસ તાજાં ફૂલોની રંગોળી કરીને અબીલ, ગુલાલ, અષ્ટગંધથી તેનું સુશોભન કરે છે. રાતે ઝગમગતી આરતીમાં પ્રજ્વલિત દીવાનો પ્રકાશ આખા ઘરમાં રેલાતાં શાંતિની અનુભૂતિ થાય છે.
