આત્મતત્વની જાગૃતિ એટલે દિવાળી
જાણો દિવાળીના પાંચ દિવસનુ મહત્વ
વૈશ્વિક ફલક પર ભારતીય સંસ્કૃતિ અનેરી અને આગવી ઓળખ ધરાવે છે. ભારતના આધ્યાત્મિક વારસાની ઝાંખી જેમાં સતત થતી રહે છે. એવી ભારતીય સંસ્કૃતિનો મુખ્ય પાયો છે ‘ અનેકતામાં એકતા’ વિશાળ જનસંખ્યા ધરાવતા આપણા આ દેશમાં વિવિધ જાતિ અને પેટા જાતિના લોકો વસે છે, જે વિવિધ ધર્મોનું પાલન કરે છે, છતાંયે પ્રત્યેક ધર્મન તહેવારો અને ઉત્સવોની ઉજવણી સૌ સાથે મળીને કરે છે.
નવરાત્રીના નવલા નોરતામાં ગરબે ઘૂમી અને શકિતની આરાધનાના દિવસો પૂરા થાય ત્યાં તો દિવાળીના તહેવારોની તૈયારી શરૂ થઈ જાય. દિવાળી એ એક અર્થમાં જોઈએ તો ભારતના રાષ્ટ્રીય તહેવારો જેવો દબદબો ધરાવે છે, વસુ બારસ, ધનતેરસ, નરક ચૌદશ, દિવાળી, બેસતુ વરસ અને અને ભાઈબીજ જેવા છ દિવસોનું આ મહાપર્વ પ્રકાશના પર્વ તરીકે જાણીતું છે.
દિવાળીના તહેવારનો આધ્યાત્મિક અર્થ છે, અંતરના પ્રકાશની જાગૃતિ,સ્થૂળ શરીર અને ચંચળ મનને પેલે પાર પણ કશુંક છે જે અજર, અમર અને અવિનાશી છે, તેને આત્મતત્વ કહે છે, આ આત્મતત્વની જાગૃતિ એટલે જ દિવાળી, જેને જાણી લેવાથી અંદરનો અજ્ઞાનરૂપી અંધકાર દૂર થાય તેવા આ પરમ તત્વના જ એક અંશ એવા આત્માની અનુભૂતિ થતા સમગ્ર સૃષ્ટિ માટે કરુણા, પ્રેમ અને માંગલ્યની ભાવના જાગે અને ઉચ્ચ દિવ્ય જ્ઞાન પ્રાપ્ત થાય એવો પવિત્ર અર્થ ધરાવતું પર્વ એટલે દિવાળી.
આ તહેવારોની શરૂઆત વસુ બારસથી થાય છે, વસુ એટલે ગાય. ભરત એક કૃષિ પ્રધાન દેશ છે, એટલે અહીં ગ્રામ્ય સંસ્કૃતિના પ્રતિકોનું મહત્વ વિશેષ છે, ગાય એ ગ્રામ્ય સંસ્કૃતિનું મુખ્ય અંગ છે. ભગવાન શ્રી કૃષ્ણએ ગાયોની ખૂબ જ સેવા કરી હતી. આથી આ મહાપર્વનો પ્રથમ દિવસ ગાય માટે નિશ્વિત કરાયો છે.
આ મહાપર્વનો બીજો દિવસ એટલે ધનતેરસ. ધન એટલે કે સંપતિ જેમાં સોનું, ચાંદી અને રૂપિયાનો સમાવેશ થાય છે, આ ધનની પૂજા કરવા માટે ધનતેરસનો દિવસ નકકી કરાયો છે. ધનની પૂજા કરવાથી આવનારા વરસમાં શ્રીની અવિરત કૃપા વરસતી રહે તેવી મંગલ કામના કરવામાં આવે છે. આની પાછળ એક કથા એવી છે કે દેવો અને દાનવો વચ્ચે થયેલા સમુદ્રમંથન વખતે ઔષધીઓના દેવ એવા ધન્વન્તરીજી આ દિવસે પ્રગટ થયા હતા. આથી એ દિવસને ધનવન્તરી જયંતિ તરીકે પણ ઉજવાય છે.
જાણો દિવાળીનું મહત્વ આગળ

આ મહાપર્વનો ત્રીજો દિવસ એટલે કાળી ચૌદશ. જેને રૂપ ચૌદશ અથવા નરક ચર્તુથી પણ કહે છે . આજે પણ લોકો કાળી ચૌદસને દિવસે અડદની દાળ-શ્રીફળ અને વડાને ચાર રસ્તે મૂકી આવી દુર્ગુણો રૂપી અસુરોથી મુકત થવાની કામના કરે છે. ભારતીય પ્રજા આ વિધીને કકળાટ કાઢવો એમ પણ કહે છે.
દિવાળીની રાત એટલે અમાસની રાત્રી.દિવાળીને દિવસે ઘર આંગણે દિવાઓ પ્રગટાવવાની સાથે સાથે અંતરની જયોત પણ જલાવાવમાં આવે છે. ભગવાન શ્રી રામે લંકા પર ચઢાઈ કરી દશેરાના દિવસે રાવણનો વધ કર્યો હતો એ પછી તેઓ સીતામાતા સહિત દિવાળીને દિવસે અયોધ્યા પધાર્યા ત્યારે અયોધ્યાવાસીઓએ પોત પોતાના ઘરની બહાર દિવડાઓની હાર મૂકી તેમનું સ્વાગત કર્યું હતું. આથી આ દિવસને દિપાવલી કહે છે.દિપાવલી શબ્દની સંધિ છૂટી પાડતા બે અર્થ થાય છે. જેમાં દિપ એટલે દિવો અને આવલી એટલે હારમાળા.
