કેપ્ટન કૂલ મતલબ ભારતીય પૂર્વ કપ્તાન મહેન્દ્દ્ર સિંહ ધોની આજે પોતાનો 37મો જન્મદિવસ ઉજવી રહ્યા છે. વેબદુનિયા તરફથી ધોનીને જન્મદિવસની શુભેચ્છા.. ધોની આજે સૌથી સફળ કપ્તાનોની લિસ્ટમાં સામેલ છે. એક કપ્તાનના રૂપમાં એવો કોઈ રેકોર્ડ કદાચ જ હશે જે ધોનીના નામે ન હોય. તેમને ભારતીય ક્રિકેટને એટલી ઊંચાઈઓ પર પહોંચાડી દીધુ છે કે ફરી પાછળ વળીને જોવાની જરૂર નથી પડી.

આઈસીસી ટ્રોફીના ઈતિહાસમાં ધોની એકમાત્ર એવા કપ્તાન છે જેમણે ટી20 વર્લ્ડ કપ વન ડે કપ અને હવે ચેમ્પિયંસ ટ્રોફીમાં પણ પોતાની કપ્તાના પરચમ લહેરાવ્યા. તેઓ એકમાત્ર એવા કપ્તાન રહ્યા છે જે મને આઈસીસીની વનડે અને ટેસ્ટ રૈકિંગમાં નંબર 1ની પોઝિશન મેળવી છે. મતલબ જો ટેનિસ જગતની ભાષામાં બોલીએ તો ધોનીએ ક્રિકેટના દરેક ગ્રૈંડ સ્લેમ પોતાને નામે કર્યા છે.

કરી ચુક્યા છે ટીટીની નોકરી

ધોની 2001થી 2003 દરમિયાન ભારતીય રેલમાં ટીટીની નોકરી કરતા જોવા મળ્યા. મિત્રોના કહેવા મુજબ તેઓ ઈમાનદારીથી નોકરી કરતા હ અતા અને અનેકવાર ખાલ સમયમાં ખડગપુર રેલવે સ્ટેશન પર મસ્તી કરતા પણ ચુકતા નહોતા. છતા તેમનુ ધ્યાન ક્રિકેટ પર જ લાગેલુ રહેતુ અને જેટલા મોટા સુધી તેઓ ડ્યુટી કરતા હતા એટલો જ સમય તેઓ ક્રિકેટને પણ આપતા હતા.

એકમાત્ર એવા કપ્તાન જેમણે આઈસીસીની ત્રણેય ટ્રોફી પર કર્યો કબજો

ધોની એકમાત્ર એવા કપ્તાન છે જેમણે આઈસીસીની ત્રણેય મોટી ટ્રોફી પર કબજો જમાવ્યો છે. ધોનીની કપ્તાનીમાં ભારત આઈસીસીની વર્લ્ડ ટી-20 (2007) ક્રિકેટ વર્લ્ડ કપ (2011) અને આઈસીસી ચેમ્પિયંસ ટ્રોફી (2013) નો ખિતાબ જીતી ચુક્યુ છે.

ટેસ્ટમાં ભારતીય ટીમને બનાવ્યુ નંબર વન

ધોનીએ ભારતીય ટીમની કપ્તાની વર્ષ 2008માં સાચવી હતી. જ્યારે ધોનીએ ટીમનુ નેતૃત્વ લીધુ ત્યારે તેમની સામે અનેક પડકારો હતા. જેવુ કે યુવાઓને તક આપવી અને ભવિષ્ય માટે ટીમનુ નિર્માણ કરવુ. ધોનીએ એ બધા પડકારોનો સામનો કરતા ભારતીય ટીમે અનેક ઐતિહાસિક ક્ષણ આપ્યા. ભારતે ધોનીની કપ્તાનીમાં પહેલીવાર નંબર વન બનવાનો સ્વાદ ચાખ્યો.

ટેસ્ટ ક્રિકેટમાંથી લીધો સન્યાસ

વર્ષ 2014માં ધોનીએ ટેસ્ટ ક્રિકેટમાંથી સંન્યાસ લેવાની જાહેરાત કરી. વિદેશમાં અચાનક સંન્યાસ લીધો. અને વિરાટ કોહલીને તરત કપ્તાની સોંપી દીધી. પસંદગી ખૂબ સરળ હતી તેથી ટેસ્ટ ક્રિકેટમાં કોઈપણ વિવાદ વગર કપ્તાનની તાજપોશી થઈ ચુકી હતી.

વનડે અને ટી20ની છોડી કપ્તાની

વર્ષ 2014માં ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયાઈ પ્રવાસની વચ્ચે જ ટેસ્ટ કપ્તાની છોડનારા મહેન્દ્ર સિંહ ધોનીએ વર્ષ 2017ની શરૂઆતમાં જ વનડે અને ટી20ની કપ્તાની પણ એજ અંદાજમાં છોડી જેને માટે તેઓ જાણીતા છે.

બાયોપિક બની ચુકી છે

ધોનીની પર્સનલ જીંદગીને જોતા ધોની ધ અનટોલ્ડ સ્ટોરીના નામની ફિલ્મ બની ચુકી છે. તેમા ધોનીના બાળપણથી લઈને ફાઈનલમાં વિશ્વકપ જીતવા સુધીની સંપૂર્ણ સ્ટોરી બતાવી છે. ફિલ્મમાં અભિનેતા સુશાંત સિંહ રાજપૂત છે.
