શ્રીલંકામાં આઠમો બૉમ્બ બ્લાસ્ટ, 207 લોકોનાં મોત

શ્રીલંકામાં વધુ એક બ્લાસ્ટ સાથે જ બ્લાસ્ટની સંખ્યા આઠ થઈ ગઈ છે. આ સમગ્ર ઘટનામાં કુલ 207 લોકોનાં મોત થયાં છે અને 450 લોકો ઘાયલ થયા છે.

શ્રીલંકાના સંરક્ષણ મંત્રીએ પત્રકારો સાથે વાતચીત કરતા જણાવ્યું હતું કે ગુપ્તચર સંસ્થાને હુમલા અંગે અગાઉથી જ માહિતી મળી હતી પરંતુ યોગ્ય પગલાં લેવામાં આવે તે પહેલાં જ બ્લાસ્ટ થયા.

તેમણે એવું પણ જણાવ્યું કે મોટા ભાગના આત્મઘાતી બ્લાસ્ટ હતા. આ હુમલાને લઈને સાત લોકોની ધરપકડ કરવામાં આવી છે. આ ઘટનામાં ત્રણ પોલીસ કર્મચારીઓનું પણ મૃત્યુ થયું હોવાનું જાણવા મળી રહ્યું છે. કોલંબો સ્થિત એક ઘરમાં પોલીસ તપાસ કરી રહી હતી એ દરમિયાન જ આ બ્લાસ્ટ થયો હતો.

શ્રીલંકાની સરકાર દ્વારા કર્ફ્યુ લાદી દેવામાં આવ્યો છે. રાજધાની કોલંબો ખાતે આવેલા દેહીવાલા પ્રાણીસંગ્રહાલય નજીક સાતમો બ્લાસ્ટ થયો છે. આ બ્લાસ્ટમાં અનેક લોકો ઘાયલ થયા છે જ્યારે મૃતકો અંગે કોઈ માહિતી મળી નથી. શ્રીલંકા પ્રશાસન દ્વારા 207 લોકોનાં મૃત્યુ થયું હોવાની પુષ્ટિ કરવામાં આવી છે.

શ્રીલંકાની રાજધાની કોલંબો અને અન્ય વિસ્તારોમાં શ્રેણીબદ્ધ બૉમ્બ બ્લાસ્ટ થયા છે. જેમાં ઓછામાં ઓછા 137 લોકોનાં મોત થયાં છે અને અનેક લોકો ઘાયલ થયા છે.

બીબીસી સિંહાલા સેવાના સંવાદદાતા અઝ્ઝામ અમીનના જણાવ્યા પ્રમાણે કોચ્ચાદાઈ ચર્ચમાં 26 લોકોના મૃતદેહ મળ્યા છે, જ્યારે બટ્ટિકોલામાં ઓછામાં ઓછા 25 મૃતદેહો મળ્યા છે. કોલંબોમાં 47, નેગંબોમાં 50 અને બટ્ટિકોલામાં ઓછામાં ઓછા 25 લોકો માર્યા ગયાના અહેવાલો છે. આ સિવાય 247 લોકો ઘાયલ થયા છે.

અત્યાર સુધી મળેલી જાણકારી પ્રમાણે ત્રણ ચર્ચો અને કોલંબોમાં આવેલી ફાઇવ સ્ટાર હોટલો સહિત કુલ છ જગ્યાએ બૉમ્બ બ્લાસ્ટ થયા છે. ઘાયલોને કોલંબોની અલગ અલગ હૉસ્પિટલમાં સારવાર માટે લઈ જવામાં આવ્યા છે.

કોચ્ચાદાઈમાં આવેલા સૅન્ટ ઍન્ટોની ચર્ચ, સાંગરી લા હોટલ, સિનેમન ગ્રાન્ડ હોટલ કિંગ્સબરી હોટલમાં બ્લાસ્ટ થયા છે. આ ઉપરાંત કોલંબો બહારના નેગોમ્બો અને મટ્ટકાલપ્પુ વિસ્તારમાં પણ બ્લાસ્ટ થયા છે.

બૉમ્બ બ્લાસ્ટ બાદ કોલંબોમાં આવેલા તમામ ચર્ચમાં ઇસ્ટર સન્ડેની પ્રાર્થના રદ કરી દેવામાં આવી છે.

શ્રીલંકાના રાષ્ટ્રપતિ મૈત્રીપાલા સિરિસેનાએ કહ્યું છે કે આ મામલે તપાસના આદેશ આપી દેવામાં આવ્યા છે.

ઉપરાતં તેમણે લોકોને બ્લાસ્ટની ઘટના બાદ કોઈ પણ પ્રકારના ફેક ન્યૂઝ પર વિશ્વાસ ના કરવા અપીલ કરી છે.

કોલંબોમાં આવેલા સૅન્ટ ઍન્ટોની ચર્ચમાં બ્લાસ્ટ થયો છે ત્યાં ઇસ્ટરના રવિવારની પ્રાર્થના માટે હજારો લોકો એકઠા થયા હતા. બીજો બ્લાસ્ટ કોલંબોમાં જ આવેલી સાંગરી લા હોટલમાં થયો છે. માનવામાં આવે છે કે અહીં અનેક લોકો ઇજાગ્રસ્ત થયા છે. શ્રીલંકામાં શ્રેણીબદ્ધ બૉમ્બ બ્લાસ્ટ મામલે સુષમા સ્વરાજે ટ્વીટ કરીને કહ્યું છે કે તેઓ કોલંબો ખાતેના ભારતના હાઈકમિશનર સાથે સતત સંપર્કમાં છે અને તેઓ આ સ્થિતિ પર નજર રાખી રહ્યાં છે.
