રાજકોટના વીરપુરમાં ગુજરાતના પ્રખ્યાત કથાકાર મોરારિબાપુએ એક નિવેદન આપ્યું, જેમાં તેમણે ગૃહમંત્રી અમિત શાહની સરખામણી દેશના પ્રથમ ગૃહમંત્રી અને નાયબ વડા પ્રધાન સરદાર વલ્લભભાઈ પટેલ સાથે કરી હતી. તેમણે કહ્યું, "હિંમતપૂર્વક અને સાહસપૂર્વક બંધારણીય નિર્ણયો લેતા ગુજરાતના એવા, થોડીક સરદાર પટેલની યાદ અપાવે એવા ભારતના ગૃહમંત્રી અમિત શાહ."
મોરારિબાપુએ વિરોધ પક્ષના એક પણ નેતાનું નામ લીધા વિના કહ્યું, "દેશના પરમકલ્યાણ માટે બધાએ એકસાથે ભારતવર્ષનો મહિમા ન ગાવો જોઈએ? અમુક ગ્રૂપને ઉકસાવીને ભારતનું કલ્યાણ થતું હોય જેમાં વિશ્વકલ્યાણ સમાયેલું હોય, તેમાં અમુક લોકોને ઉકસાવીને દેશમાં અશાંતિ, તોફાન આદિ-આદિ જે કોઈ પણ કરાવતું હોય, માત્ર રાષ્ટ્રને નજરમાં રાખીને તેનું શુભ વિચારતા, આવી પ્રવૃત્તિ બંધ ન થવી જોઈએ?"

જોકે, ત્યાર બાદ મોરારિબાપુએ કહ્યું હતું કે તેમણે અમિત શાહ અને સરદાર પટેલની સરખામણી સંપૂર્ણતામાં નહોતી કરી. દેશમાં અત્યારે નાગરિકતા કાયદાને લઈને વિરોધપ્રદર્શન થઈ રહ્યાં છે અને ત્યારે મોરારિબાપુએ કાયદાનો ઉલ્લેખ કર્યા વિના આ વાત કરી હતી. નરેન્દ્ર મોદી સરકાર 2.0માં અમિત શાહ ગૃહમંત્રી બન્યા પછી કલમ 370ની નાબૂદીથી અને વિવાદાસ્પદ બનેલા નાગરિકતા કાયદાનો નિર્ણય લેવામાં આવ્યો છે અને તેનો વિરોધ પણ થઈ રહ્યો છે અને સમર્થનમાં પણ પ્રદર્શનો થયાં છે.
ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે તાજેતરમાં ગૃહમંત્રી અમિત શાહે એવું નિવેદન આપ્યું હતું કે જેને જેટલો વિરોધ કરવો હોય એ કરે પણ નાગરિકતા સંશોધન કાયદો પરત નહીં લેવાય. મોરારિબાપુનું નિવેદન અમિત શાહના એ નિવેદન પછી આવ્યું છે. જોકે, એ પછી બીબીસી ગુજરાતીએ નાગરિકતા કાયદા અંગે તેમને સવાલ કર્યો હતો, પરંતુ તેમણે કોઈ જવાબ આપ્યો નહોતો.
કૉંગ્રેસના પ્રદેશ અધ્યક્ષ અમિત ચાવડાએ ટીકા કરતા કહ્યું હતું કે, "આ સરદાર પટેલનું અપમાન છે."
જોકે, વિધાનસભામાં કૉંગ્રેસના નેતા પરેશ ધાનાણીએ મોરારિબાપુનું નામ લીધા વિના આ અંગે કટાક્ષ કર્યો હતો.
વિધાનસભામાં કૉંગ્રેસના નેતા પરેશ ધાનાણીએ ટ્વીટ કર્યું હતું, "કથાની રામાયણ" 'રાવણ' પણ શિવભક્ત, શૂરવીર અને ખૂબ વિદ્વાન હતો, પરંતુ એનાં કાળાં કરતૂતોથી 'કલંકિત રાજ'ને મુક્તિ અપાવવા માટે જ રામાયણ રચાઈ હતી.. 'રાવણ'ના પાત્રને નમ્રપણે ન્યાય આપવાના પ્રયાસમાં ક્યાંક 'વાનર' અને 'ખિસકોલી'ના યોગદાનની ઉપેક્ષા ન થાય ઈ 'રામ રાજ્ય'!"
ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે હાલ અમિત શાહ સાથે સરદાર પટેલની સરખામણીનો વિવાદ થઈ રહ્યો છે પરંતુ આ પહેલાં વડા પ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદી સાથે સરદાર પટેલની સરખામણી અનેક વખત કરવામાં આવી છે.
ઍર ઇન્ડિયાની 100 ટકા ભાગીદારી નરેન્દ્ર મોદી સરકારે વેચવા કાઢી, બીજો પ્રયાસ
'સરદાર પટેલ અને અમિત શાહમાં સરખામણી ન થઈ શકે'
થોડા સમય પહેલાં રાજ્યસભા સાંસદ અમરસિંહે કહ્યું હતું કે 'તેમણે સરદાર પટેલને નથી જોયા પરંતુ નરેન્દ્ર મોદી અને અમિત શાહમાં તેમની ઝલક જોઈ છે.' એક મીડિયા અહેવાલ મુજબ આ નિવેદન આર્ટિકલ 370ના સંદર્ભમાં હતું.
વરિષ્ઠ પત્રકાર પ્રકાશ ન. શાહે કહ્યું , "સરદાર એટલે સરદાર. જેમ બિસ્માર્ક અને સરદારની સરખામણી ખોટી હતી તેમ અત્યારે અમિત શાહ અને સરદાર પટેલ વચ્ચેની સરખામણી અધૂરી અને અધકચરી છે."
સરદાર પટેલ ભારતના લોહપુરુષ ગણાતા, એવી જ રીતે ઑટો વાન બિસ્માર્કે જર્મન ભાષા બોલનાર લોકોને એકઠાં કરીને વર્તમાન જર્મનીનો પાયો નાખ્યો હતો. બિસ્માર્ક જર્મનીના લોહપુરુષ તરીકે ઓળખાય છે.
પ્રકાશ ન. શાહનું કહેવું છે કે "જે સરદાર પટેલ રાજસૂય કરતાં પ્રજાસૂય સ્થિતિઓ માટે વધુ લોકપ્રતિષ્ઠિત છે એ સરદારની જોડે બીજા કોઈને મૂકવાથી અનાયાસ ચાટુકારિતાનો આભાસ થાય છે."
જોકે, વરિષ્ઠ પત્રકાર કુંદન વ્યાસનું કહેવું છે, "મોરારિબાપુએ કહ્યું એ ખોટું નથી. ચર્ચમાં બંધારણની પ્રસ્તાવના વાંચવામાં આવી રહી છે, મૌલવીઓ અને પાદરી ભાષણ આપે છે ત્યારે વિવાદ નથી થતા પરંતુ મોરારિબાપુ કે સદગુરુ જગ્ગી વાસુદેવ જો કોઈ નિવેદન આપે તો વિવાદ કેમ થાય છે?"
તેઓ ઉમેરે છે, "દેશના હિતમાં જો તેઓ બોલ્યા છે તેમાં શું ખોટું છે? જો તમે નાગરિકતા સંશોધન કાયદા વિરુદ્ધ હો કે અમિત શાહ વિરુદ્ધ હો તો તેમાં આ બાબતે વિવાદ કરવાની શું જરૂર છે?"
કુંદન વ્યાસનું કહેવું છે, "ત્યારના સંજોગો અને સમય જુઓ મહાત્મા ગાંધી, નહેરુ અને મૌલાના આઝાદ જેવા નેતાઓ હતા જેમની સરખામણીમાં સરદાર પટેલને ધ્યાને લો અને આજના સમયમાં નરેન્દ્ર મોદી સિવાય વિપક્ષના બધા નેતાઓને જુઓ તો એની સરખામણીમાં અમિત શાહ મક્કમ રહ્યા છે."
તેઓ આગળ કહે છે, "સરખામણી વ્યક્તિ, સંજોગો અને સમયને જોઈને થવી જોઈએ. આટલા વિરોધ વચ્ચે કોણ મક્કમ રહ્યું છે? અમિત શાહ સરદાર પટેલની જેમ પોતાની વાતને વળગી રહ્યા છે."
જોકે, એમણે એમ પણ કહ્યું કે અમિત શાહ સરદાર પટેલ નથી બની જતા અને મોરારિબાપુએ સરદાર પટેલને સ્થાને અમિત શાહને મૂકયા તે વાત તેઓ માનવા તૈયાર નથી.
'સરદાર પટેલનું અપમાન છે'
સરદાર પટેલ સાથે અમિત શાહ જ નહીં કેટલીક વખત નરેન્દ્ર મોદી અને લાલકૃષ્ણ અડવાણીની પણ સરખામણી કરવામાં આવી છે. લાલકૃષ્ણ અડવાણીને તો લોહપુરુષ પણ કહેવામાં આવતા હતા.
વરિષ્ઠ પત્રકાર ઉર્વીશ કોઠારીએ કહ્યું કે "સરદાર પટેલ માટે આનાથી મોટું અપમાન ન હોઈ શકે. આજના સમયમાં અમિત શાહ શું કરી રહ્યા છે એની મોરારિબાપુને ખબર નથી પડતી અને સરદાર પટેલે શું કર્યું હતું એ પણ તેમને ખબર નથી, એ આપણે જોઈ શકીએ છીએ."
તેમણે કહ્યું કે " મોરારિબાપુ આ બધી વસ્તુઓમાં આવાં નિવેદન ન આપે, અને તેમનું કામ કરે તો દેશની વધારે સેવા કરી શકશે."
વરિષ્ઠ પત્રકાર ઉર્વીશ કોઠારીએ 'સરદાર સાચો માણસ, સાચી વાત' પુસ્તક પણ લખેલું છે.
વિવાદમાં આવેલા એ નિવેદનમાં મોરારિબાપુએ વિરોધમાં હિંસા બંધ કરવાની વાત પણ કરી હતી.
ઉર્વીશ કોઠારીનું કહેવું છે કે "હિંસા સામે વાંધો ઉઠાવવો વાજબી છે. જો વિરોધ પક્ષના નેતાઓ પર મોરારિબાપુ અમુક પક્ષને ઉશ્કેરવાની વાત કરતા હોય તો તેઓ ઉત્તર પ્રદેશના મુખ્યમંત્રી યોગી આદિત્યનાથની ભાષા પર કેમ કોઈ ટિપ્પણી નથી કરતા?"
ઉર્વીશ કોઠારી કહે છે, "સરદાર પટેલને અડવાણી, નરેન્દ્ર મોદી કે અમિત શાહને સાથે સરખાવવા એ મોટી ધૃષ્ટતા છે."
અમિત શાહ અને સરદાર પટેલમાં ફેર શું?
ભાજપ અને ખાસ કરીને નરેન્દ્ર મોદી કૉંગ્રેસે સરદાર પટેલની અવગણના કરી એવી વાત અવારનવાર કરે છે. ગુજરાતમાં તો નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ સરદાર પટેલની સૌથી ઊંચી પ્રતિમા બનાવી છે, પરંતુ શું સરદાર પટેલ અને ભાજપની નીતિઓ અને વિચારસરણીમાં સામ્ય છે ખરું?
વરિષ્ઠ પત્રકાર પ્રકાશ ન. શાહ કહે છે, "ભારતના બંધારણની ઘડતરની પ્રક્રિયાના એ ત્રણ વર્ષના નિર્ણાયક ગાળામાં સરદારની જે ભૂમિકા રહી, ભીમરાવ આંબેડકરની જે પહેલકારી રહી, નહેરુ અને અન્ય નેતાઓનો જે પ્રભાવ રહ્યો એને કારણે આપણા પ્રજાસત્તાક બંધારણમાંથી રાષ્ટ્રીયતા અને રાષ્ટ્રવાદનો જે ખ્યાલ બહાર આવ્યો એ બિનસાંપ્રદાયિક છે. એ કોઈ કથિત સાંસ્કૃતિક રાષ્ટ્રવાદ નહીં પરંતુ જેને આપણે બંધારણીય રાષ્ટ્રવાદ કહીએ, તેના પર આધારિત છે."
"આપણા સમયમાં જર્મન ફિલોસૉફર હેબરમાસ જેવાઓએ જે નાગરિક-બંધારણીય રાષ્ટ્રવાદની હિમાયત કરી છે, એ આજથી 70-75 વર્ષ પહેલાં ગાંધી, નહેરુ અને પટેલ જોઈ શક્યા હતા.
તેઓ ઉમેરે છે, "આજે દેશમાં જે સત્તા પ્રતિષ્ઠાન છે એ નાગરિક રાષ્ટ્રવાદની માનવીય ભૂમિકાની જગ્યાએ સાંસ્કૃતિક રાષ્ટ્રવાદની વિભાજક, વિઘટનકારી આક્રમક ભૂમિકા અદા કરે છે. નાગરિકતા સંશોધન કાયદાની વાત કરીએ તો એ વિભાજક છે અને વિઘટનની દિશામાં છે, તે કાયદો પણ હોય તો તે બંધારણની ભાવના અને સરદારનો જેમાં મોટો ફાળો છે એ અભિગમ સાથે ટકતી વાત નથી."
