ट्रायल के दौरान सुशील-राणा के समर्थकों में दंगल, जमकर मारपीट

नई दिल्ली। दो बार के ओलंपिक पदक विजेता सुशील कुमार ने अगले साल के राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों के लिए क्वालीफाई कर लिया लेकिन चयन ट्रायल के बाद उनके और चिर प्रतिद्वंद्वी प्रवीण राणा के समर्थक आपस में भिड़ गए और जमकर मारपीट हुई। यही नहीं सुशील और राणा के बीच भी मारपीट हुई। देर शाम सुशील ने इस घटना की कड़ी‍ निंदा करते हुए अपना पक्ष रखा है।

ऑस्ट्रेलिया के गोल्ड कोस्ट में अगले साल होने वाले राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों के लिए चयन ट्रायल इंदिरा गांधी इंडोर स्टेडियम पर आयोजित किया गया थे। इस दौरान भारतीय कुश्ती महासंघ के अध्यक्ष बृजभूषण शरण सिंह भी मौजूद थे। तीन साल बाद राष्ट्रमंडल चैम्पियनशिप स्वर्ण जीतकर अंतरराष्ट्रीय कुश्ती में वापसी करने वाले सुशील ने अपने सारे मुकाबले जीते।

मामला तब बिगड़ गया, जब सेमीफाइनल में सुशील से हारने के बाद प्रवीण राणा ने दावा किया कि सुशील के समर्थकों ने रिंग में उसके खिलाफ उतरने के लिए उन्हें और उनके बड़े भाई को मारा। दूसरी ओर सुशील ने दावा किया कि मुकाबले के दौरान राणा ने उन्हें मारा।

सुशील के अनुसार राणा ने मुझे पीटा लेकिन कोई बात नहीं। यह मुझे अच्छा खेलने से रोकने की उसकी रणनीति होगी। यह खेल का हिस्सा है। जो कुछ हुआ था, वह गलत था। मैं इसकी निंदा करता हूं। मुकाबला खत्म होने के बाद एक दूसरे के लिए सम्मान था।

सनद रहे कि राणा उन तीन पहलवानों में थे, जिन्होंने पिछले महीने इंदौर में हुई राष्ट्रीय सीनियर कुश्ती चैम्पियनशिप में सम्मानस्वरूप सुशील को वाकओवर दिया था । सुशील ने राष्ट्रमंडल चैम्पियनशिप फाइनल में राणा को हराया था। राणा ने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि सुशील के समर्थकों ने उसे जान से मारने की धमकी दी और कहा है कि आगामी प्रो. कुश्ती लीग में खेलने की भूल ना करे।

भारतीय कुश्ती महासंघ के अध्यक्ष बृजभूषण शरण सिंह ने कहा कि यह मामला कुश्ती रिंग के बाहर का है और उन्होंने यह नहीं देखा। उन्होंने हालांकि कहा कि औपचारिक शिकायत दर्ज किए जाने पर कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

उन्होंने कहा, यह मामला हमारे सामने का नहीं है। यह वार्मअप परिसर में हुआ। यह एक धड़े की ओर से उकसाया गया था। मुझे पिछले साल इसकी आशंका थी और यही वजह है कि ट्रायल स्थगित कर दिए गए थे। हमने दिल्ली पुलिस से सुरक्षा मांगी थी लेकिन यह नाकाफी साबित हुई।

अध्यक्ष बृजभूषण कहा कि हम तभी कार्रवाई कर सकते हैं जब कोई हमसे शिकायत करे। अभी तक किसी ने शिकायज दर्ज नहीं कराई है। जब कोई शिकायत करेगा तो हम कड़ी कार्रवाई करेंगे।
