इस वर्ष 16 सितंबर 2020 को विश्वकर्मा पूजा की जाएगी। हर साल अश्विन मास की कृष्ण पक्ष की चतुर्दशी तिथि को विश्वकर्मा पूजा की जाती है।
धार्मिक मान्यता है कि इसी दिन भगवान विश्वकर्मा का जन्म हुआ था। शास्त्रों के अनुसार विश्वकर्मा जी का जन्म कन्या संक्रांति के दिन हुआ था। इसी कारण हर साल कन्या संक्रांति पर इनकी पूजा की जाती है। आपको बता दें कि इस साल विश्वकर्मा दिवस के दिन कई ऐसे योग बन रहे हैं जिनमें पूजा करने पर आपको कई गुना लाभ प्राप्त होंगे।
विश्वकर्मा पूजा का मुहूर्त
16 सितंबर को सुबह 06 बजकर 53 मिनट पर कन्या संक्रांति का क्षण है। इस समय पर सूर्य देव कन्या राशि में प्रवेश करेंगे। कन्या संक्रांति के साथ ही विश्वकर्मा पूजा का मुहूर्त प्रारंभ हो जाएगा।
पूजा के समय राहुकाल का ध्यान रखना होता है। विश्वकर्मा पूजा के दिन राहुकाल दोपहर 12 बजकर 21 मिनट से 01 बजकर 53 मिनट तक है। इस समय काल में पूजा न करें। राहुकाल को छोड़ कर किसी भी समय पूजा कर सकते हैं
भगवान विश्वकर्मा का ध्यान करते हुए सपत्नीक घर और प्रतिष्ठान में फूल व चावल हल्दी और जल छिड़कने चाहिए।
इसके बाद पूजन करने वाले व्यक्ति को पत्नी के साथ यज्ञ में आहुति देनी चाहिए। पूजा करते समय दीप, धूप, पुष्प, गंध, सुपारी आदि का प्रयोग करना चाहिए। पूजन से अगले दिन प्रतिमा के विसर्जन करने का विधान है।
पूजन के लिए मंत्र:-
भगवान विश्वकर्मा की पूजा में ‘ॐ आधार शक्तपे नम: और ॐ कूमयि नम:, ॐ अनंतम नम:, पृथिव्यै नम:’ मंत्र का जप करना चाहिए। जप के लिए रुद्राक्ष की माला हो।
यदि आप चाहे तो मात्र एक मंत्र "ॐ विश्वकर्मणे नमः" का जाप करना चाहिए। यह विश्वकर्मा जी को प्रसन्न करने का सबसे सुलभ और शुभ फल प्राप्ति करने का मंत्र है।
जप शुरू करने से पहले ग्यारह सौ, इक्कीस सौ, इक्यावन सौ या ग्यारह हजार जप का संकल्प लें। चुंकि इस दिन प्रतिष्ठान में छुट्टी रहती है तो आप किसी पुरोहित से भी जप संपन्न करा सकते हैं।
औजारों की पूजा
विश्वकर्मा जयंती के दिन प्रतिष्ठान के सभी औजारों या मशीनों या अन्य उपकरणों को साफ करके उनका तिलक करना चाहिए। साथ ही उन पर फूल भी चढ़ाएं।
हवन के बाद सभी भक्तों में प्रसाद का वितरण करना चाहिए। भगवान विश्वकर्मा के प्रसन्न होने से व्यक्ति के व्यवसाय में दिन दूनी रात चौगुनी वृद्धि होती है।
ऐसी मान्यता है कि भगवान विश्वकर्मा की पूजा करने वाले व्यक्ति के यहां घर धन-धान्य तथा सुख-समृद्धि की कमी नहीं रहती। इस पूजा की महिमा से व्यक्ति के व्यापार में वृद्धि होती है तथा सभी मनोकामना पूरी हो जाती है।
जिस फैक्टरी के मालिक भगवान विश्वकर्मा की जयंती को धूम-धाम से नहीं मनाते उन्हें पूरे साल समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ता है।

वास्तुशास्त्र के जनक विश्वकर्मा जी से जुड़ी पौराणिक कथाएं :-
1. हिंदू धर्म के अनुसार भगवान विश्वकर्मा को सृजन का देवता कहा जाता है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि विश्वकर्मा जी ने इन्द्रपुरी, द्वारिका, हस्तिनापुर, स्वर्गलोक, लंका आदि का निर्माण किया था। प्रत्येक वर्ष विश्वकर्मा जयंती पर औजार, मशीनों, औद्योगिक इकाइयों की पूजा की जाती है।
2. भगवान विश्वकर्मा को वास्तुशास्त्र का जनक कहा जाता है। उन्होंने अपने ज्ञान से यमपुरी, वरुणपुरी, पाण्डवपुरी, सुदामापुरी, शिवमण्डलपुरी, पुष्पक विमान, विष्णु का चक्र, शंकर का त्रिशूल, यमराज का कालदण्ड आदि का निर्माण किया।
3. विश्वकर्मा जी ने ही सभी देवताओं के भवनों को भी तैयार किया। विश्वमर्का जयंती वाले दिन अधिकतर प्रतिष्ठान बंद रहते हैं। भगवान विश्वकर्मा को आधुनिक युग का इंजीनियर भी कहा जाता है।
4.एक कथा के अनुसार संसार की रचना के शुरुआत में भगवान विष्णु क्षीर सागर में प्रकट हुए। विष्णु जी के नाभि-कमल से ब्रहा जी की उत्पत्ति हुई। ब्रहा जी के पुत्र का नाम धर्म रखा गया। धर्म का विवाह संस्कार वस्तु नाम स्त्री से हुआ।

7 .सबसे बड़े पुत्र मनु ऋषि
भगवान विश्वकर्मा के सबसे बड़े पुत्र मनु ऋषि थे। इनका विवाह अंगिरा ऋषि की कन्या कंचना के साथ हुआ था। इन्होंने ही मानव सृष्टि का निर्माण किया। विष्णुपुराण में विश्वकर्मा को देवताओं का देव बढ़ई कहा गया है तथा शिल्पावतार के रूप में सम्मान योग्य बताया गया ह
स्कंदपुराण में उन्हें देवायतनों का सृष्टा कहा गया है। विश्वकर्मा इतने बड़े शिल्पकार थे कि उन्होंने जल पर चलने योग्य खड़ाऊ तैयार की थी।
