कानपुर के ग्रीन पार्क में भारत और इंग्लैंड के बीच खेले गए टी-20 मैच के दौरान कश्मीर के क्रिकेटर परवेज रसूल विवादों में घिर गए। अपना पहला अंतरराष्ट्रीय मैच खेल रहे रसूल राष्ट्रगान के दौरान च्यूइंगम चबाते रहे। सोशल मीडिया पर भी उनकी तीखी आलोचना हुई है।
मैच शुरू होने के पहले राष्ट्रगान के समय परवेज रसूल कुछ चबाते देखे गए और यह फोटो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हो गया। सोशल साइट्स पर च्यूइंगम चबाने का दावा किया जा है। लोगों ने उनसे पूछा- क्या राष्ट्रगान से अधिक महत्वपूर्ण था च्यूइंगम?
परवेज की जमकर आलाचना शुरू हो गई। गणतंत्र दिवस के दिन ऐसी हरकत होने से क्रिकेट प्रशंसकों में ज्यादा गुस्सा था। सोशल मीडिया पर ही लोगों ने बीसीसीआई और कप्तान कोहली से रसूल पर कार्रवाई की मांग की है।

ट्विटर पर सोनम महाजन नामक एक एकाउंट से लिखा गया कि यदि रसूल भारत का राष्ट्रगान नहीं गा सकते तो उन्हें भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम की जर्सी भी नहीं पहननी चाहिए। मोहित गुलाटी ने परवेज की इस हरकत को शर्मनाक बताया। लोकेन्द्रसिंह ने लिखा कि रसूल के लिए राष्ट्रगान से ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण च्यूइंगम चबाना है।
दूसरी ओर फारूक नामक एक व्यक्ति ने लिखा कि लोग भारत के राष्ट्रगान को लेकर परवेज को लेक्चर देना बंद करें। परवेज की इस हरकत से लोगों में काफी गुस्सा है। कुछ लोगों का तो यह भी मानना है कि रसूल की इस हरकत से अलगाववादियों के ही हौसले बुलंद होंगे।
