कोरोना का कहर.. दिलों में डर.. दिमाग में अनसुलझे प्रश्नों के अंबार, जिनके जवाब केवल काल और समय के पास हैं, साथ ही है अनिश्चित भविष्य। तो क्यों न आज फिर बच्चा बना जाए, उन पलों में खोकर थोड़ा सुकून ढूंढा जाए और कलम की आंचल की छांव में आंचल/ पल्लू/ दामन की परवरिश करते हैं। आज भी दुनिया की सबसे सुरक्षित जगह मां का आंचल ही है।
अपने बच्चों की खुशियों के लिए वो अपना आंचल सदा ईश्वर के समक्ष फैलाए रहती है। मां के आंचल-सा कोई संसार नहीं। पल्लू थामना, पल्लू पकड़ना, दामन पकड़ना, दामन थामना, आंचल में छिपना, ये सारे मात्र शब्द नहीं हैं। जो बच्चे खेलते हुए मां के आंचल में सो जाया करते हैं। उन्हें पता ही नहीं होता और वो जन्नत की सैर कर आया करते हैं।
मां का आंचल संपूर्ण अध्याय होता है हमारी जिंदगी की किताब का। जब उसके पल्लू की आड़ से छुपकर देखते थे तब उसके पल्लू के पीछे से सारी दुनिया कितनी रंगीन दिखा करती थी। मां का पल्लू हमारी गुल्लक हुआ करती थी। वही हमारे लिए तिजोरी भी होती थी। बड़ी अमीरी में गुजरा बचपन ऐसा वो जमाना था। मां के आंचल में बंधा वो सिक्का खजाना था। पल्लू में बचाकर वो पैसे से मेरे लिए खुशियां खरीद लिया करती थी।
खुशियां बचकर निकलतीं कैसे? मां के आंचल का दायरा ही इतना बड़ा जो था। कभी-कभी मन करता मां कि अगर मेरे हाथ आसमान तक जाते तो तेरे पल्लू में सारे तारे पिरो देती। मां के आंचल के खिलौने के आगे कोई खिलौना खुशी नहीं दे सकता था, अगर उसे थाम रखा है तो सारी कायनात मुट्ठी में होती। सारी चिंता आंखों से बहकर आंचल में सिमट जाती, ख़ुशी की किलकारी आंचल से लिपट जाती।

मां के आंचल की ठंडी छाया हर बुरे साए को दूर रखने की ताकत रखती। मां जब आंसू आंचल से पोंछती है, हर जख्म पर मरहम लग जाता है। वो अपने पल्लू का बिछौना बना देती, खुद को खिलौना बना लेती, मां काजल का टीका लगाकर अपने आंचल में उसे सलोना बना देती। और तो और कीमती से कीमती तौलिए से पोंछने पर भी बाल इतने नहीं सूखते जो मां की सस्ती साड़ी के आंचल से सूख जाया करते थे। रसोईघर में हाथ पोंछने, खाना खिलाने के बाद, पानी/ दूध, बचपन के कोई से भी 'मम्मम' हां यही तो कहते हैं न खाने की चीजों को, हर बार मां का आंचल हाजिर होता मुंह साफ करने को।
उसमें से आती मसालों की सुगंध आज भी महसूस कर सकते हैं। चोट लग जाए तो पल्ला फाड़कर पट्टी भी बन जाती थी घाव के लिए। दुनिया का सबसे पावन, सबसे खूबसूरत पलों में से एक होता है मां के आंचल तले दूधू पीना। उसी से पंखा भी झाल देगी।उसी से ठंडी में गर्मी भी दे देगी। बारिश में सिर पर ओढ़ाकर छत बना देती है। सारी गंदगी भी इसी पल्ले से झाड़-पोंछ के रानी बिटिया भी बना देती है और बेटों को राजा बाबू। जरुरी नहीं कि मोहब्बत महबूब से ही हो। हमने तो मां के आंचल से भी बेशुमार मोहब्बत देखी है।
मां मुझे अपने आंचल में छुपा ले, सीने से लगा ले। पल्लो लटके जैसे कई कालजयी गीतों, लोकगीतों ने भी अपनी पहचान बनाई है। शायरों की शायरी महबूब के आंचल, दामन, पल्लू के बिना अधूरी है तो कवियों की कविताएं सौंदर्य विहीन। ग्रन्थ-काव्य-महाकाव्य सभी में इनका चित्रण है। रामायण में सीता का अपने पल्लू में सारे आभूषणों को बांधकर फेंकना और मिलने पर श्रीराम द्वारा उस पल्लू की महिमा का बखान क्या कम महत्वपूर्ण है। आंचल/ पल्लू/ दामन में छुपकर बैठना कभी-कभी कायरता को भी दर्शाता है तो वहीं दामन/ आंचल में दाग, दामन/ आंचल तार-तार हो जाना, दागदार हो जाना, मैला हो जाना, कलंकित होने व इज्जत के प्रश्न से जोड़कर देखा जाता है तो चोली-दामन के साथ को जोड़ी दर्शाने में। ऐसी कई सारे मुहावरे व लोकोक्तियां इनके मान/ अपमान/ महत्व/ भरोसा/ साथ आदि को बताने का गागर में सागर का काम करतीं हैं।
हिंदू धर्मों के अनुसार, कहा जाता है कि सिर ढंकने से ध्यान एकाग्रचित्त रहता है। इसलिए पूजा-पाठ में पल्लू रखा जाता है। पल्लू रखना आदर का सूचक भी है। शास्त्रों में कहा गया है कि यदि एकाग्रचित्त पूजा न की जाए तो फलित नहीं होती। वेदों में कहा गया है कि सिर के मध्य में एक केंद्रीय चक्र पाया जाता है। सिर ढंकने से इस पर जल्द प्रभाव पड़ता है। नकारात्मक ऊर्जा प्रवेश नहीं करती। मन मस्तिष्क में सकारात्मकता बनी रहती है। दूसरे सिर पर पल्लू होने से बालों के टूटकर गिरने की संभावना घट जाती है। बालों का टूटकर गिरना हिंदू धर्म के अनुसार ठीक नहीं माना जाता है। यही बात पुरुषों पर भी लागू होती है। पुरुषों के मामले में उनका धारण किया गमछा या गले में डाला दुपट्टा या रुमाल भी इससे अलग नहीं है। इन्हें भी इतना ही महत्वपूर्ण गया माना है।
पल्लू कभी भी गुलामी का परिचायक नहीं है। यह तो भारतीयता की अनुपम सूरत दिखाता है। पल्लू के कोने को मुंह में दबाना, पल्लू मुंह में ठूंसकर हंसना, पल्लू को उंगलियों के बीच में हथेली पर ले घुमाना ये सब केवल भारतीय महिलाओं की खूबसूरती और अदाओं के उजागर होते पहलू हैं। सिर पर पल्लू रखने वाली सारी महिलाएं दबी-कुचली या पिछड़े विचारों की नहीं होतीं, जैसे मिनी स्कर्ट पहनने वालीं सभी स्वतंत्र नहीं होतीं। हमारे देश की एकमात्र महिला प्रधानमंत्री श्रीमती इंदिरा गांधी का एक किस्सा है, जो चंडीगढ़ के फ़ोटोग्राफ़र शमशेर बहादुर दुर्गा की यादों से निकला है।
इसमें बेहद सख़्त प्रशासक और चतुर राजनेता मानी जाने वाली इंदिरा गांधी के कोमल स्वभाव की झलक देखी जा सकती है। शमशेर बहादुर दुर्गा ने 1972 में तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी को फ़ोटो खिंचवाने के लिए सिर पर पल्लू लेने को कहा था। दुर्गा उस दिन को याद करते हुए बताते हैं, मैंने उनसे फ़ोटो खींचने की इजाज़त मांगी और वे मुस्कुराईं। मैंने उन्हें फ़ोटो खिंचवाने के लिए साड़ी का पल्लू सिर पर करने की विनती की और उन्होंने मुस्कुराते हुए साड़ी का पल्लू सिर पर रख लिया और हेलीकॉप्टर में बैठकर जाने तक रखा।
यही नहीं एकमात्र महिला राष्ट्रपति प्रतिभा पाटिल जी भी हमेशा पल्लू में दिखाई दीं। कई राजनेत्रियां पल्लू लेने में जरा नहीं हिचकतीं हैं। पाल्लू को कमर में खोंसना जिम्मेदारियों के लिए तैयार होना या आक्रोश व्यक्त करने का तरीका भी है। फूल जब आंचल में अंगारे बन जाते हैं फिर तब कपड़ों की बनती है राख और बदन भी जल जाते हैं। अतः कोई मां या महिला इस तरह से सामने आए तो सावधान। पर वहीं ख्वाबों की बस्ती कई तूफ़ान उजाड़ने आए पर हमें इल्म ही नहीं हुआ क्योंकि मां का पल्लू जो हमने थाम रखा था। मां कभी सिर पर खुली छत नहीं रहने देती। चाहे वो भारत माता ही क्यों न हो। तिरंगे ने ममता की छांव दी है। और मां भारती का ममतामयी आंचल है हमारा तिरंगा।
परंतु अब समय बदल गया है। परिवेश और वातावरण के साथ परवरिश भी बदल गई। सुविधाजनक होने के नाम पर आंचल/ पल्लू/ दामन से नाता टूट रहा है। वो जो माथे व उरोजों से ढलक गया ज्यादा कुछ नहीं एक युग था अपने समय की मर्यादा का। आधुनिकता की चकाचौंध में खोता आंचल अब बच्चों को इस सुख से वंचित कर रहा है। जींस व पश्चिमी वस्त्र पहनी मां तब स्तब्ध रह गई, जब उनके मासूम ने पूछा ये आंचल क्या होता है?
तेरे माथे पे आंचल बहुत खूब है नारी, लेकिन तू इस आंचल से एक परचम भी बना लेती तो अच्छा था। वो कोई और दौर था जब वक्त का आंचल उमेठ कर, जिद कर उसका दर्द समेट पल्लू में रख लेती थी, पर आज वक्त अपने लिबास और लिहाज दोनों बदल चुका है। दिन दूर नहीं जब अंचल/ दामन/ पल्लू बीते समय की बातें हो जाएं। और बच्चे इस आंचल की सतरंगी दुनिया से वंचित हो जाएं। हम खुशनसीब हैं जो मां के आंचल की जन्नत को, उस दुनिया को नाप आए हैं जो अपने में सारे ब्रह्मांड का सुख समाए हुए है।
