आईएस के नर्क से लौटी एक यजीदी मां का दर्द

कोचर के लिए इराक में जिंदगी अभिशाप है। यह यजीदी महिला और उनके बच्चे दो साल तक इस्लामिक स्टेट के गुलाम थे। इराक के यजीदी समुदाय की कोचर बताती हैं कि बच्चे ना होते तो उन्होंने आत्महत्या कर ली होती। वह और उनके बच्चे दो साल तक इस्लामिक स्टेट के गुलाम थे। उत्पीड़न ने उन्हें गुस्से में भर रखा है। उनके तीन बच्चे अभी भी लापता हैं।

वापसी के बाद से कोचर सिर्फ काला लिबास पहनती हैं। समय सारे जख्म नहीं भरता। तब तो और नहीं जब आप नरक से लौटे हों। आईएस की कैद से आजाद होने के बाद से कोचर अपने पति महमूद और पांच छोटी बेटियों के साथ उत्तरी इराक में माउंट सिंजर पर रहती हैं। वे अपने ही मुल्क में रिफ्यूजी हैं। हाल की पीड़ाओं के बारे में परिवार में बात नहीं होती।

अतीत का शिकंजा

उन्हें बार बार अपने तीन लापता बड़े बच्चों का ख्याल आता है। 22 साल का सादोन, 18 साल का फिराज और 15 साल की आवीन। उनका अभी तक पता नहीं है। उनसे मिल सकने की थोड़ी बहुत उम्मीद कोचर को अतीत के शिकंजे में जाने से रोकती रहती है। बहुत बार ऐसा होता है जब वह रातों में सो नहीं पातीं, तब उन्हें यह सवाल कुरेदता है कि वह जिंदा क्यों बच गईं। 4 से 13 साल की उनकी पांच बेटियां भी रात में डरी डरी रहती हैं। कोचर कहती हैं, "बच्चों के बिना मैंने खुदकुशी कर ली होती।"

कोचर का दुःस्वप्न 3 अगस्त 2014 की रात को शुरू हुआ जब आईएस मिलिशिया ने सिंजर इलाके पर हमला किया। अल्पसंख्यक यजीदी सदियों से इस इलाके में रहते आए हैं। स्वघोषित जिहादियों के लिए यजीदी काफिर और शैतान पूजक हैं। हमलावरों ने यजीदियों को अकथ्य यातनाएं दीं और कत्लेआम किया। संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने इसे नरसंहार की संज्ञा दी, हालांकि अब तक इसके लिए किसी को सजा नहीं दी गई है।

बनाए गए गुलाम

अगस्त 2014 में करीब 50,000 यजीदी भागकर सुरक्षा पाने के लिए माउंट सिंजर के पहाड़ी इलाके में चले गए, जो उनका पवित्र पहाड़ है। दूसरे परिवारों के साथ कोचर भी वहीं गई जबकि महमूद अपने बूढ़े माता पिता की देखभाल के लिए वहीं रुक गया। कोचर के जत्थे ने आधा रास्ता ही पार किया था कि उन्हें आईएस के लड़ाकों ने धर लिया। कुछ को उन्होंने मार दिया, कुछ को गुलाम बना लिया।

कोचर ने बताया, "वे मुझसे बड़ी उम्र की महिलाओं को भी ले गए और उन्हें पांच छह लोगों से शादी करने पर मजबूर किया।" कोचर एक बार भी बलात्कार शब्द का इस्तेमाल नहीं करती है। "वे एक सिगरेट के लिए औरतों की अदला बदली करते थे या तोहफे में दे देते थे।" बार बार मांओं को बच्चों से अलग कर दिया जाता। बेटों से संपर्क छूट गया, बेटी आवीन की शादी मोसुल में एक आईएस लड़ाके से कर दी गई। उसके बाद उसे सिर्फ एक बार मां से मिलवाने लाया गया।

आजादी का बोझ

लौटकर कोचर अपने पति से इराक के कुर्द इलाके में मिली। बच्चों ने तो बाप को पहचाना ही नहीं। महमूद पत्नी और बच्चों से जुदाई के दौरान कुर्द मिलिशिया में शामिल हो गए ताकि वह सिंजर में आईएस से लड़ सके। कोचर बताती हैं कि कभी कभी वह पीड़ा को भूलने के लिए जोर से चिल्लाती है, लेकिन बच्चों के सामने नहीं। "मैं अब सामान्य नहीं हूं। डॉक्टरों ने कहा कि दवा मदद नहीं करेगी। वे कहते हैं कि मैं बहुत सोचती हूं।"

मुश्किल मेल मिलाप

परिवार के फिर से मिलने के बाद से कोचर और महमूद माउंट सिंजर में टेंटों की बस्ती में रहते हैं। यहां पहाड़ों के बीच करीब 2,000 परिवार रहते हैं। परिवार का मूल गांव रामबुसी पहाड़ के दक्षिणी छोर पर है जहां कार से एक घंटे में पहुंचा जा सकता है। 2014 से पहले गांव में परिवार का बड़ा सा मकान था। आज वह गांव सूना पड़ा है। कहीं कोई आवारा कुत्ता भी नहीं दिखता। ज्यादातर मकान नष्ट हो गए हैं, या तो आईएस के हमले में या अमेरिकियों के हवाई हमले में। कोचर और महमूद कभी कभी वहां जाते हैं अपनी पुरानी यादों को समेटने, मलबे में दबी कुछ पुरानी तस्वीरें वापस लाने।
