नागपुर। कप्तान विराट कोहली के लाजवाब शतक तथा जसप्रीत बुमराह और विजय शंकर की डेथ ओवरों में कमाल की गेंदबाजी से भारत ने मंगलवार को यहां उतार चढ़ाव से भरे दूसरे एकदिवसीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय मैच में ऑस्ट्रेलिया पर 8 रन की रोमांचक जीत दर्ज करके पांच मैचों की श्रृंखला में 2-0 से बढ़त बनाई।
कुलदीप यादव (54 रन देकर 3 विकेट) की अगुआई में स्पिनरों ने बीच के ओवरों में रन गति पर अंकुश लगाया। इसके बावजूद ऑस्ट्रेलिया को आखिरी पांच ओवर में 29 रन चाहिए थे और उसके चार विकेट बचे हुए थे। ऐसे में बुमराह (29 रन देकर 2 विकेट) ने ख्याति के अनुरूप कमाल की गेंदबाजी की।
अंतिम ओवर में जब ऑस्ट्रेलिया जीत से 11 रन दूर था तब विजय शंकर (15 रन देकर 2 विकेट) ने जिम्मा संभाला तथा 3 गेंदों पर खतरनाक मार्कस स्टोइनिस (52) सहित 2 विकेट लेकर भारत को वनडे में 500वीं जीत दिलाई।
भारत की जीत की नींव कोहली ने रखी थी। उन्होंने 120 गेंदों पर 116 रन की लाजवाब पारी खेली, जिसमें 10 चौके शामिल हैं। इससे पता लगता है कि उन्होंने अपने अधिकतर रन दौड़कर लिए। कोहली को इस बीच केवल विजय शंकर (41 गेंदों पर 46) ही अच्छा सहयोग दे पाए। इन दोनों ने चौथे विकेट के लिये 81 रन जोड़े। भारतीय टीम 48.2 ओवर में 250 रन बनाकर आउट हुई।
कप्तान आरोन फिंच (37) और उस्मान ख्वाजा (38) ने पहले विकेट के लिए 83 रन जोड़कर ऑस्ट्रेलिया को ठोस शुरुआत दिलाई। पीटर हैंड्सकांब ने बीच के ओवरों में 48 रन की पारी खेली जबकि स्टोइनिस ने आखिर तक उम्मीद बनाए रखी लेकिन आखिर में ऑस्ट्रेलियाई टीम 49.3 ओवर में 242 रन पर आउट हो गई।
खराब फॉर्म में चल रहे फिंच आज अपनी नैसर्गिक लय में दिखे और उन्होंने ख्वाजा के साथ मिलकर सहजता से रन बटोरे। जब मोहम्मद शमी (60 रन देकर कोई विकेट नहीं) और बुमराह शुरू में सफलता नहीं दिला पाए तथा विजय शंकर और रवींद्र जडेजा (48 रन देकर 1) भी प्रभाव नहीं छोड़ पाए तो कोहली ने गेंदबाजी में लगातार बदलाव किए।
कुलदीप ने आखिर में फिंच को पगबाधा आउट करके भारत को सफलता दिलाई। केदार जाधव (33 रन देकर 1 विकेट) ने अगले ओवर में ख्वाजा को मिडऑफ पर कोहली के हाथों कैच करा दिया था, जिससे स्कोर 2 विकेट पर 83 रन हो गया।

भारतीय गेंदबाजों ने बीच के ओवरों में कसी हुई गेंदबाजी। इस बीच 13वें से लेकर 33वें ओवर तक केवल एक बार गेंद सीमा रेखा तक पहुंची। स्पिनरों ने लगातार बल्लेबाजों पर दबाव बनाए रखा। शॉन मार्श (16) को जडेजा ने विकेट के पीछे कैच कराया जबकि उनका स्थान के लिए आए ग्लेन मैक्सवेल (4) का कुलदीप ने नीची रहती गेंद पर मिडिल स्टंप थर्राकर मैच पर ऑस्ट्रेलिया को बैकफुट पर भेज दिया।
जडेजा ने क्षेत्ररक्षण की अपनी फुर्ती से हैंड्सकांब को अर्धशतक पूरा नहीं करने दिया। जब आवश्यक रन और गेंदों के बीच अंतर बढ़ रहा था, तब अलेक्स कैरी (22) और स्टोइनिस ने कुलदीप के एक ओवर में दो चौकों और एक छक्के की मदद से 15 रन बटोरकर दबाव कम कर दिया। कुलदीप ने हालांकि अगले ओवर में गुगली पर कैरी का विकेट उखाड़ दिया।
डेथ ओवरों के विशेषज्ञ बुमराह ने अपने एक ओवर में नाथन कूल्टर नाइल (4) और पैट कमिन्स (0) को पैवेलियन भेजा। ऑस्ट्रेलिया को अंतिम तीन ओवर में 21 रन चाहिए थे। बुमराह और शमी ने कसी गेंदबाजी की लेकिन वह शंकर थे, जिन्होंने आखिर में तीन गेंदों में कमाल दिखाया।
इससे पहले ऑस्ट्रेलिया के तीनों स्पिनरों एडम जंपा, ग्लेन मैक्सवेल और नाथन लियोन ( एक-एक विकेट) ने बीच के ओवरों में अच्छी गेंदबाजी की लेकिन सबसे सफल गेंदबाज रहे पैट कमिन्स, जिन्होंने 29 रन देकर 4 विकेट झटके।
कमिन्स ने सलामी बल्लेबाज रोहित शर्मा (0) को पहले ओवर में ही पैवेलियन भेज दिया जिसके बाद कोहली ने क्रीज पर कदम रखा। वह 48वें ओवर तक क्रीज पर रहे। भारत के 250 में से 248 रन कोहली की उपस्थिति में बने।
कोहली ने अपनी पारी के दौरान अपने पसंदीदा ड्राइव का शानदार नजारा भी पेश किया। उन्होंने शुरू से पारी संवारने का बीड़ा उठाया जबकि दूसरे छोर पर शिखर धवन (21) और अंबाती रायुडु (18) क्रीज पर कुछ समय बिताने के बावजूद लंबी पारी नहीं खेल पाए।
धवन अच्छी लय में दिख रहे थे लेकिन मैक्सवेल ने उन्हें पगबाधा आउट कर दिया। रायुडु को स्ट्राइक रोटेट करने में दिक्कत आ रही थी क्योंकि गेंद बल्ले पर नहीं आ रही थी। उन्हें आखिर में लियोन ने पगबाधा आउट किया।
विजय शंकर ने अपनी फार्म बरकरार रखी। उन्होंने अपनी बल्लेबाजी से सभी को प्रभावित किया लेकिन भाग्य उनके साथ नहीं था और अपने पहले अर्धशतक से चूक गए। वह कोहली के स्ट्रेट ड्राइव पर दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण तरीके से रन आउट हो गए। लेग स्पिनर जंपा ने इसके बाद जाधव (11) और महेंद्र सिंह धोनी (0) को लगातार गेंदों पर आउट किया।
कोहली ने नाथन कूल्टर नाइल की गेंद पर चौका जड़कर अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट में अपना 65वां शतक (क्रिकेट के तीनों फॉर्मेट में) पूरा किया। पारी के अंतिम क्षणों में तेजी से रन बनाने की जरूरत थी लेकिन जडेजा 40 गेंदों पर केवल 21 रन बना पाए।
कमिन्स ने जडेजा को आउट करने के बाद कोहली की पारी का भी अंत किया। कुलदीप (3) और बुमराह (0) भी तेजी से रन बनाने के प्रयास में आउट हो गए और भारत पूरे 50 ओवर भी नहीं खेल पाया।
