ऋषि ऋषि पंचमी से दिगंबर जैन समाज के दशलक्षण महापर्व शुरू हो गए है। इस पर्व के अंतर्गत 8 सितंबर 2019, रविवार को सुगंध दशमी पर धूप खेवन का पर्व मनाया जाएगा।
प्रतिवर्ष जैन धर्म में भाद्रपद शुक्ल दशमी को सुगंध दशमी का पर्व मनाया जाता है। इस दौरान जैन मंदिरों में प्रवचन होंगे तथा सुगंध दशमी व्रत कथा पढ़ने का साथ-साथ सभी जैन जिनालयों में 24 तीर्थंकरों, पुराने शास्त्रों तथा जिनवाणी के सम्मुख चंदन की धूप अग्नि पर खेवेंगे यानी धूप खेवन पर्व मनाया जाएगा।
पर्व सुगंध दशै दिन जिनवर पूजै अति हरषाई,
सुगंध देह तीर्थंकर पद की पावै शिव सुखदाई।।
- हे भगवान! सुगंध दशमी के दिन सभी तीर्थंकरों का पूजन कर मेरा मन हर्षित हो गया है। धूप के इस पवित्र वातावरण से स्वयं भगवान भी खुश होकर मानव को मोक्ष पद का रास्ता दिखलाते हैं। इसी भावना के साथ सभी जैन मंदिरों में सुगंध दशमी पर धूप खेई जाती है।
प्रतिवर्ष दशलक्षण (दसलक्षण)/पर्युषण महापर्व के अंतर्गत आने वाली भाद्रपद शुक्ल दशमी को दिगंबर जैन समाज में सुगंध दशमी का पर्व मनाया जाता है। इसे धूप दशमी, धूप खेवन पर्व भी कहा जाता है। यह व्रत पर्युषण पर्व के छठवें दिन दशमी को मनाया जाता है। इस पर्व के तहत जैन धर्मावलंबी सभी जैन मंदिरों में जाकर श्रीजी के चरणों में धूप अर्पित करते हैं। जिससे वायुमंडल सुगंधित व स्वच्छ हो जाता है। धूप की सुगंध से जिनालय महक उठते है।
सुगंध दशमी व्रत का दिगंबर जैन धर्म में काफी महत्व है और महिलाएं हर वर्ष इस व्रत को करती हैं। धार्मिक व्रत को विधिपूर्वक करने से मनुष्य के सारे अशुभ कर्मों का क्षय होकर पुण्य की प्राप्ति होती है तथा मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती है। साथ ही सांसारिक दृष्टि से उत्तम शरीर प्राप्त होना भी इस व्रत का फल बताया गया है।
सुगंध दशमी के दिन हिंसा, झूठ, चोरी, कुशील, परिग्रह इन पांच पापों के त्याग रूप व्रत को धारण करते हुए चारों प्रकार के आहार का त्याग, मंदिर में जाकर भगवान की पूजा, स्वाध्याय, धर्मचिंतन-श्रवण, सामयिक आदि में अपना समय व्यतीत करने का महत्व है। इस दिन जैन धर्मावलंबी अपनी-अपनी श्रद्धानुसार कई मंदिरों में अपने शीश नवाकर सुंगध दशमी का पर्व बड़े ही उत्साह और उल्लासपूर्वक मनाते हैं।
सुगंध दशमी के दिन शहरों के समस्त जैन मंदिरों में जाकर 24 तीर्थंकरों को धूप अर्पित करते है तथा भगवान से प्रार्थना करेंगे कि- हे भगवान! इस सुगंध दशमी के दिन, मैं आनंद की तलाश के रूप में अपने नाम में प्रार्थना करता हूं। मैं तीर्थंकरों द्वारा बतलाए मार्ग का पालन करने की प्रार्थना करता हूं, जो ज्ञान और मुक्ति का एहसास कराते हैं। हे भगवान, मैं आपके नाम का ध्यान धरकर मोक्ष प्राप्ति की कामना करता हूं। इस भाव के साथ सभी जैन धर्मावलंबी इस पर्व को बड़े ही उत्साह और भक्तिभाव के साथ मनाते हैं।

इस दिन सभी जैन मंदिरों में विशेष तौर पर साज-सज्जा, आकर्षक मंडल विधान सजाने के साथ-साथ मनोहारी झांकियों का निर्माण किया जाता है। इस अवसर पर सुगंध दशमी कथा का वाचन भी होता है। इस दिन जिनवाणी व पुराने शास्त्रों के सम्मुख धूप चढ़ाई जाती है तथा उत्तम तप धर्म की आराधना कर आत्म कल्याण की कामना की कामना की जाती है।
सुगंध दशमी का अर्घ्य
सुगंध दशमी को पर्व भादवा शुक्ल में,
सब इन्द्रादिक देव आय मधि लोक में;
जिन अकृत्रिम धाम धूप खेवै तहां,
हम भी पूजत आह्वान करिकै यहां।।
इस अर्घ्य के साथ भगवान को धूप अर्पित की जाती है और इस पर्व को आनंद और उल्लास के साथ मनाया जाता है। तत्पश्चात अनंत चतुर्दशी एवं अपनी परंपरागत तिथियों के अनुसार क्षमापर्व यानी क्षमावाणी पर्व/ पड़वा ढोक का पर्व मनाया जाएगा।
