नीति आयोग के CEO अमिताभ कांत ने JioMeet को बताया Zoom से बेहतर ऐप

नई दिल्ली। नीति आयोग के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (CEO) अमिताभ कांत ने रिलायंस जियो के वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग ऐप 'जियोमीट' (JioMeet) की प्रशंसा करते हुए इसे 'जूम' से बेहतर बताया है। जियोमीट का इस्तेमाल करने के बाद इसकी सुविधाओं के पहली बार में ही कायल हुए कांत ने इसे जूम ऐप के मुकाबले बेहतर करार दिया।

उन्होंने शनिवार को ट्वीट किया और जियोमीट ऐप के इस्तेमाल का अपना अनुभव शेयर किया। उन्होंने लिखा कि जियोमीट वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग ऐप का इस्तेमाल किया और जूम के मुकाबले इसे कहीं सरल और बेहतर पाया। वीडियो कॉलिंग पूरी तरह एनक्रिप्डिट और पासवर्ड से सुरक्षित है।

जियोमीट के सॉफ्ट लॉन्च और इसका इस्तेमाल की सभी को मुफ्त वीडियो कॉन्फेंसिंग की सुविधा के बाद इस बाजार पर कब्जे की लड़ाई आने वाले समय में तेज होने की संभावना है। रिलायंस के जियोमीट पर असीमित हाईडेफिनेशन कॉलिंग की सुविधा को भी कांत ने सराहा। नीति आयोग सीईओ ने कहा कि जियोमीट का डेटा भी देश में ही स्टोर होता है।

गौरतलब है कि डेटा सुरक्षा के मानदंडों पर जूम खरी नही उतर पाई है और इसी वर्ष भारत सरकार ने जूम ऐप को वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के लिए असुरक्षित घोषित कर दिया था।

जियोमीट की प्रशंसा करते हुए सीईओ ने इसे तकनीकी दुनिया में पासा पलटने वाला भारतीय ऐप बताया जिसमें इस संकट काल में आगे बढ़ने की असीम संभावनाए हैं।

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की' वोकल फॉर लोकल' की अपील और सरकार के 59 चीनी ऐप्स पर प्रतिबंध से देशी ऐप्स की संभावनाएं आने वाले समय में प्रबल हुई है। सॉफ्ट लॉन्च के चंद दिनों के भीतर ही जियोमीट ऐप 5 लाख से अधिक बार डाउनलोड किया जा चुका है। जियोमीट के साथ साथ अन्य देशी ऐप जैसे चिंगारी और रोपसो जैसे ऐप्स के डाउनलोडिंग में जबर्दस्त इजाफा हुआ है।

जियोमीट में एक बार में मेजबान समेत 100 लोग वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग का फ्री इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं। जूम ऐप से हटकर जियोमीट में वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग की कोई समय-सीमा भी तय नही की गई है। जूम ऐप पर फ्री वीडियो कॉलिंग के लिए मात्र 40 मिनट की अवधि दी जाती है। 40 मिनट से अधिक की कॉलिंग के लिए मेजबान को 15 डॉलर प्रतिमाह भुगतान करना होता है।

जियोमीट पर ग्राहक लगातार नि:शुल्क 24 घंटे तक बातचीत कर सकते हैं। जियोमीट पर 24 घंटे तक कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग की सुविधा को एक्सपर्ट पासा पलटने वाला बता रहे हैं। समय-सीमा के कारण जूम पर वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग करने वालों को हर 40 मिनट में बाद दोबारा लॉगइन करना पड़ता है जिससे ग्राहकों को अनवरत बैठक करने में खासी दिक्कत आती थी।

उदाहरण के लिए लॉकडाउन में घर से काम करने की स्थिति में महत्वपूर्ण बैठक या तो 40 मिनट से पहले समाप्त करनी पड़ती थी अथवा फिर दोबारा लॉगइन करें अन्यथा सालाना लगभग 180 डॉलर चुकाना होगा। शिक्षा क्षेत्र में भी जहां ससांधन सीमित है। वहां जूम ऐप समय का प्रतिबंध ऑनलाइन कक्षाओं में बाधा उत्पन्न कर रहा है।

जियोमीट को गूगल प्लेस्टोर या एप्पल स्टोर से डाउनलोड किया जा सकता है। यह एंड्रायड और एप्पल पर समान रूप से काम करता है। जियोमीट माइक्रोसॉफ्ट विंडोस को भी सपोर्ट करता है इसलिए यूजर्स इसे डेस्कटॉप या लेपटॉप पर भी आसानी से डाउनलोड कर सकते हैं।
