कोरोना महामारी से जूझ रहे में अमेरिका में गृहयुद्ध जैसे हालात हो गए हैं। एक अश्वेत व्यक्ति जॉर्ज फ्लॉयड की पुलिस कस्टडी में हुई मौत के बाद भड़की हिंसा की लपटें व्हाइट हाउस तक पहुंच चुकी हैं। रविवार को पत्थरबाजी के बाद राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप को सुरक्षित बंकर में ले जाया गया है। वॉशिंगटन, न्यूयॉर्क, न्यू जर्सी समेत अमेरिका के 40 शहरों में कर्फ्यू लगा दिया गया है। रविवार रात को प्रदर्शनकारियों ने व्हाइट हाउस के आस-पास कई जगहों में आग लगा दी। व्हाइट हाउस के नजदीक स्थित ऐतिहासिक सेंट जॉन एपिस्कोपल चर्च को भी प्रदर्शनकारियों ने कथित तौर पर आग के हवाले कर दिया।
अमेरिका के मिनेपॉलिस में एक अश्वेत व्यक्ति की पुलिस हिरासत में मौत हो गई थी। पुलिस ने जब इस अश्वेत व्यक्ति को पकड़ा था तब उसका वीडियो वायरल हो गया और उसकी मौत के बाद मिनेपॉलिस हिंसा भड़क गई, जो कि अमेरिका के कई राज्यों में फैल गई।
इधर अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने दंगों के लिए एंटिफा को जिम्मेदार बताया है। ऐसे में यह जानना जरुरी है कि आखिर एंटिफा क्या है।
ट्रंप ने आरोप लगाया है कि जॉर्ज के लिए शुरू हुए आंदोलन को हाइजैक कर लिया गया है और अब उन्होंने ऐसे लोगों को आतंकवादी घोषित करने का फैसला किया है। ट्रंप ने ट्वीट करके कहा है कि अमेरिका एंटिफा को आतंकवादी संगठन करार देगा। ट्रंप ने हिंसा के पीछे वामपंथी संगठनों को जिम्मेदार ठहराया है जिन्हें आमतौर पर एंटिफा कहा जाता है।

दरअसल, अमेरिका में फासीवाद के विरोधी लोगों को एंटिफा यानी एंटी-फासिस्ट कहा जाता है। अमेरिका में एंटिफा आंदोलन उग्रवादी, वामपंथी और फासीवादी विरोधी आंदोलन के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जाता है। ये लोग नव-नाजी, नव-फासीवाद, श्वेत सुपीरियॉरिटी और रंगभेद के खिलाफ होते हैं और सरकार के विरोध में खड़े रहते हैं। इस आंदोलन से जुड़े लोग आमतौर पर शांतिपूर्ण प्रदर्शन करते हैं, रैलियां करते हैं। लेकिन मौका आने पर हिंसा करने से भी नहीं चुकते हैं।
हालांकि एंटीफा की स्थापना को लेकर कोई आधिकारिक जानकारी नहीं है। लेकिन इसके सदस्य दावा करते हैं कि इसका गठन 1920 और 1930 के दशक में यूरोपीय फासीवादियों का सामना करने के लिए किया गया था। उधर एंटीफा की गतिविधियों पर नजर रखने वाले जानकार बताते हैं कि एंटीफा आंदोलन 1980 के दशक में एंटी-रेसिस्ट एक्शन नाम के एक समूह के साथ शुरू हुआ था। 2000 तक यह आंदोलन एकदम सुस्त था लेकिन राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप के सत्ता संभालने के बाद इसने रफ्तार पकड़ी है।
इस संगठन के सदस्यों के बारे में पता लगाना आसान नहीं है। क्योंकि ज्यादातर लोग पुलिस कार्रवाई के कारण अपने बारे में खुलासा नहीं करते हैं। इनका कोई आधिकारिक नेता भी नहीं होता है। कहीं भी जब कोई रंगभेद से संबंधित विरोध प्रदर्शन का मामला आता है तो इसके सदस्य चुपचाप उस स्थान पर आंदोलन करने पहुंच जाते हैं। ये लोग अधिकतर काले कपड़े पहने होते हैं।
एंटीफा के सदस्य नव-नाजीवाद, नव-फासीवाद श्वेत वर्चस्ववादी और नस्लवाद का खुलकर विरोध करते हैं। इसके सदस्य दक्षिणपंथी नेताओं और इस विचारधारा का भी खुलकर विरोध करते हैं। दक्षिणपंथी कार्यकर्ता या नेताओं को रोकने के लिए चिल्लाना, भगदड़ मचाना और मानव श्रृंखला बनाना इनकी पसंदीदा रणनीति है। ये कई बार हिंसा और आगजनी पर भी उतर आते हैं।
