धार्मिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार होलाष्टक (Holashtak 2022) के दौरान हर तरह के शुभ और मांगलिक कार्य वर्जित माने गए हैं। होलाष्टक प्रारंभ होते ही प्राचीन काल में होलिका दहन वाले स्थान की गोबर, गंगा जल आदि से लिपाई की जाती थी और वहां पर होलिका का डंडा लगा दिया जाता था जिनमें एक को होलिका और दूसरे को प्रह्लाद माना जाता है।
इस वर्ष होलाष्टक 10 मार्च 2022 से शुरू होगा तथा 17 मार्च को होलिका दहन (Holika Dahan) के साथ होलाष्टक की समाप्ति हो जाएगी और 18 मार्च को होली (Holi Festival) खेली जाएगी। फाल्गुन शुक्ल अष्टमी तिथि का प्रारंभ 10 मार्च को तड़के 02.56 मिनट से होगा तथा 11 मार्च को प्रात: 05.34 मिनट तक रहेगी। अत: फाल्गुन शुक्ल अष्टमी तिथि को यानी 10 मार्च, गुरुवार से होलाष्टक का प्रारंभ हो जाएगा।
इस वर्ष फाल्गुन पूर्णिमा तिथि का आरंभ 17 मार्च 2022, दिन गुरुवार को दोपहर 01.29 मिनट से होगा और 18 मार्च, शुक्रवार को दोपहर 12.47 मिनट तक यह तिथि मान्य होगी। ऐसे में फाल्गुन पूर्णिमा 17 मार्च होगी तथा इसी दिन होलिका दहन के साथ होलाष्टक समाप्त हो जाएगा। इन 8 दिनों तक कोई मांगलिक कार्य नहीं किए जाते हैं, क्योंकि ये 8 दिन अपशगुन वाले माने जाते हैं।
धर्म और ज्योतिष शास्त्रों के अनुसार हर खास कार्य में शुभ मुहूर्त का विचार अवश्य ही करना चाहिए। यदि कोई भी कार्य शुभ मुहूर्त में किया जाता है तो वह उत्तम फल प्रदान करता है। दरअसल होली आने की पूर्व सूचना हमें होलाष्टक (Holashtak) से प्राप्त होती है। इसी दिन से होली पर्व के साथ-साथ होलिका दहन की तैयारियां भी शुरू हो जाती है। ज्योतिष की मानें तो होलाष्टक के दौरान सभी ग्रह उग्र स्वभाव में रहते हैं, जिसके कारण शुभ कार्यों का अच्छा फल नहीं मिल पाता है।
Holashtak ka Mahatva-होलाष्टक का महत्व- माघ पूर्णिमा से होली की तैयारियां शुरू हो जाती है। होलाष्टक आरंभ होते ही दो डंडों को स्थापित किया जाता है, इसमें एक होलिका का प्रतीक है और दूसरा प्रह्लाद से संबंधित है।
ऐसा माना जाता है कि होलिका से पूर्व 8 दिन दहन की तैयारी की जाती है। जब प्रहलाद को नारायण भक्ति से विमुख करने के सभी उपाय निष्फल होने लगे तो, हिरण्यकश्यपु ने प्रह्लाद को इसी तिथि यानी फाल्गुन शुक्ल अष्टमी को बंदी बना लिया और मृत्यु हेतु तरह-तरह की यातनाएं दी, लेकिन प्रहलाद विचलित नहीं हुए। इस दिन से प्रतिदिन प्रहलाद को मृत्यु देने के अनेक उपाय किए जाने लगे किंतु नारायण भक्ति में लीन होने के कारण प्रहलाद हमेशा जीवित बच जाते हैं।
इसी प्रकार 7 दिन बीत गए और 8वें दिन अपने भाई हिरण्यकश्यपु की परेशानी देख उनकी बहन होलिका (जिसे ब्रह्मा द्वारा अग्नि से न जलने का वरदान प्राप्त था) ने प्रहलाद को अपनी गोद में लेकर अग्नि में भस्म करने का प्रस्ताव रखा, जिसे हिरण्यकश्यपु ने स्वीकार कर लिया। परिणामस्वरूप होलिका जैसे ही अपने भतीजे प्रहलाद को गोद में लेकर जलती आग में बैठी, तो वह स्वयं जलने लगी और प्रहलाद पुनः जीवित बच गए क्योंकि उनके लिए अग्नि देव शीतल हो गए थे। तभी से भक्ति पर आघात हो रहे इन आठ दिनों को होलाष्टक के रूप में मनाया जाता है। भक्ति पर जिस-जिस तिथि, वार को आघात होता उस दिन और तिथियों के स्वामी भी हिरण्यकश्यपु से क्रोधित हो उग्र हो जाते थे।
तभी से फाल्गुन शुक्ल अष्टमी के दिन से ही होलिका दहन स्थान का चुनाव किया जाता है, इस दिन से होलिका दहन के दिन तक इसमें प्रतिदिन कुछ लकड़ियां डाली जाती हैं, पूर्णिमा तक यह लकड़ियों का बड़ा ढेर बन जाता है। पूर्णिमा के दिन शुभ मुहूर्त में अग्नि देव की शीतलता एवं स्वयं की रक्षा के लिए उनकी पूजा करके होलिका दहन किया जाता है। जब प्रह्लाद बच जाते है, उसी खुशी में होली का त्योहार मनाते हैं।
Holashtak n Grah-होलाष्टक में उग्र स्वभाव में रहते हैं ये ग्रह- धार्मिक मान्यता के अनुसार होलाष्टक के दौरान अष्टमी को चंद्रमा, नवमी को सूर्य, दशमी को शनि, एकादशी को शुक्र, द्वादशी को गुरु, त्रयोदशी को बुध, चतुर्दशी को मंगल और पूर्णिमा को राहु उग्र स्वभाव में रहते हैं।
इन सभी ग्रहों के उग्र होने की वजह से मनुष्य के निर्णय लेने की क्षमता कमजोर हो जाती है, जिसके कारण कई बार उससे गलत फैसले भी हो जाते हैं, जिसके कारण हानि की आशंका बढ़ जाती है। ज्योतिष के अनुसार जिनकी कुंडली में नीच राशि के चंद्रमा और वृश्चिक राशि के जातक या चंद्र छठे या आठवें भाव में हैं उन्हें इन दिनों अधिक सतर्क रहना चाहिए। अत: होली से पहले ये 8 दिन अशुभ माने जाते हैं।
ग्रंथों में उल्लेख मिलता है कि भगवान शिव की तपस्या को भंग करने के अपराध में कामदेव को शिव जी ने फाल्गुन की अष्टमी में भस्म कर दिया था। कामदेव की पत्नी रति ने उस समय क्षमा याचना की और शिव जी ने कामदेव को पुनः जीवित करने का आश्वासन दिया। इसी खुशी में लोग रंग खेलकर होली-धुलेंडी का पर्व मनाते हैं।
