संवेदनशील लेखन की दुनिया में लेखिका मन्नू भंडारी का नाम बड़े ही सम्मान के साथ लिया जाता है। आज सूचना मिली है कि मन्नू भंडारी ने इस दुनिया को अलविदा कह दिया है। उनकी स्मृति को प्रणाम करते हुए इंदौर प्रवास के दौरान मन्नू जी हुई बातचीत प्रस्तुत कर रहे हैं। वेबदुनिया के लिए यह मुलाकात लेखिका ज्योति जैन ने की थी.... पढ़ें मन्नू जी के अनौपचारिक संवाद :
1. आत्मकथा 'एक कहानी यह भी' के प्रकाशित होने के बाद आपकी बहन ने कहा था कि उन्हें आश्चर्य है कि विपरीत परिस्थिति में आपने अपनी पीड़ा का अहसास तक नहीं होने दिया। जानना चाहती हूँ कि 'उस' माहौल में सहज लेखन कैसे कर सकी?
मन्नू जी : यदि लेखन में ताकत है तो आप बिखर नहीं सकते। लेखन ऐसी शक्ति है जो विपरीत परिस्थिति में भी साथ देती है। लेखन ने मुझे थामा इसलिए मैं लेखनी को थाम सकी। बल्कि मैं तो कहती हूँ कि लेखन ही नहीं वरन अभिव्यिक्ति की कोई भी विधा चाहे वह संगीत हो या चित्रकारी, इनमें वह शक्ति होती है जो आपका वजूद बचाए रखती हैं। मैंने अपनी पीड़ा किसी को नहीं बताई क्योंकि मेरा मानना है कि व्यक्ति में इतनी ताकत हमेशा होनी चाहिए कि अपने दुख, अपने संघर्षों से अकेले जूझ सकें।
2. राजेन्द्र यादव(लेखक एवं मन्नू जी के पति) से अलगाव के बाद अकेलेपन के दौर ने क्या लेखन को प्रभावित किया?
मन्नू जी : शायद नहीं। मैंने हर परिस्थिति में लेखन किया। अलगाव होने पर मुंबई जाते हुए राजेन्द्र से कह दिया था कि मैं जा रही हूँ तब तक आप कहीं और शिफ्ट हो जाना। अपनी मित्र को मैंने यह खबर कि हम अलग हो रहे हैं समुद्र किनारे घुमते हुए सुनाई। उसे आश्चर्य हुआ कि मैं इतनी सहज कैसे हूँ। आज मेरे और राजेन्द्र के बीच संवाद है। जब साथ थे तो संवाद नहीं था आज साथ नहीं है तो हम एक-दूसरे को लेकर सहज है। राजेन्द्र से मित्रता कायम है मगर मित्रता में जो अंतरंगता होनी चाहिए, वह नहीं है।
3. पिता के साथ आपके संबंध विद्रोही बेटी के रहे इस बात को आपके लेखन में महसूस किया जा सकता है। क्या आप उनके लिए सदैव उपेक्षित रही?
मन्नू जी : नौकर से लेकर हर व्यक्ति के प्रति पिताजी संवेदनशील थे। लेकिन माँ सदा उपेक्षित रही और थोड़ी मैं भी। बाद में कॉलेज के मेरे भाषण के बारे में पिताजी के मित्र ने उन्हें बताया तो वे बड़े खुश हुए। दरअसल वे यश आकांक्षी थे। एक बार कॉलेज से मेरी शिकायत आई कि सारा कॉलेज मेरा कहना मानता है अत: इसे घर बिठा लीजिए। तब पिताजी ने मेरा पक्ष लेते हुए प्रिंसिपल से कहा था कि आज जब देश को बोलने वालों की जरूरत है तब आप चुप बैठने को कह रही हैं? फिर मुझसे कहा -मैं खुश हूँ कि तुम विशिष्ट हो। पर विशिष्ट होने का खामियाजा भी भुगतना पड़ता है। उलाहने सुनने पड़ते हैं।
4. लेखन के दौरान क्या पात्र जीवंत हो जाते हैं?
मन्नू जी : मेरा मानना है कि जब स्त्री टूटती-बिखरती है तब भी लेखन की सरलता इसलिए बनाए रख पाती है क्योंकि संवेदनशीलता के स्तर पर वह बहुत गहरी होती है। मेरे लेखन में भी पात्रों से मेरा गहन जुड़ाव रहा। जब 'आपका बंटी' खत्म हुआ तो लगा मेरा अपना कोई मुझसे बिछुड़ गया है। मेरी कोशिश थी कि मेरी बेटी 'बंटी' ना बनने पाए। मगर ये ना हो सका।
5. पाठक अब भी आपकी लेखकीय सक्रियता चाहते हैं।
मन्नू जी : आज मुझे न्यूरोलॉजिया नाम की बीमारी ने घेर रखा है। इस बीमारी की दवाई दिमाग को सुन्न कर देती है। जब मैं आर्थिक व मानसिक कष्टों से गुजर रही थी तब खूब लेखन किया। आज वे कष्ट नहीं है तो शारीरिक कष्टों ने लेखन अवरूद्ध कर दिया।
6. भविष्य की लेखन संबंधी क्या योजना है?
मन्नू जी : मेरी इच्छा है कि अब तक के सभी साक्षात्कारों का एक संग्रह निकालूँ। देखती हूँ, कब हो पाता है।
