कोरोना वायरस से फैली दहशत के बीच चीन से एक और डराने वाली खबर सामने आई। यह थी हंता वायरस (Hantavirus) के संक्रमण की। Hantavirus से एक व्‍यक्‍ति की मौत का मामला सामने आया है। अब कोरोना के बाद हंता वायरस दशहत फैली हुई है।

आखिर क्या है Hantavirus और कैसे फैल रहा है। सेंटर फॉर डिसीज कंट्रोल और प्रिवेंशन (CDC) के अनुसार यह वायरस का एक परिवार है, जो चूहे, गिलहरी जैसे कुतरने वाले जानवरों से फैलता है। यह वायरस लोगों में अनेक बीमारियों का कारण बन सकता है।

हंता वायरस मानव शरीर में पल्मोनेरी सिंड्रोम पैदा कर सकता है। इस वायरस के प्रभावी होने पर रक्तस्त्राव बुखार और गुर्दे में तकलीफ हो सकती है।

यह वायरस हवा से नहीं, बल्कि चूहे और गिलहरी जैसे जानवरों के काटने, मूत्र, चेहरे और लार के संपर्क में आने से मानव शरीर में फैलता है।

हंता वायरस (Hanta virus) के लक्षण : CDC के अनुसार अगर व्यक्ति हंता वायरस का शिकार हो जाता है तो उसे थकान, बुखार, मांसपेशियों में दर्द, सिरदर्द के साथ चक्कर आना, पेट की समस्याएं हो सकती हैं।

अगर इसका इलाज नहीं किया जाए तो खांसी हो सकती है। साथ ही सांस लेने में तकलीफ के साथ ही यह और भी घातक हो सकता है।

सीडीसी के अनुसार इस वायरस में मृत्यु दर 38 प्रतिशत है। हालांकि इसके लक्षणों पर अभी रिचर्स चल रहा है।

इस वायरस के कारण निम्न रक्तचाप, किडनी खराब जैसी स्थिति भी हो सकती है। हंता वायरस का संक्रमण एक व्यक्ति से दूसरे में नहीं फैल सकता है।

CDC के अनुसार चूहे जैसे काटने वाले जानवरों की जनसंख्या नियंत्रण कर ही इस वायरस को फैलने से रोका जा सकता है। (Photo courtesy: Twitter)
