राजस्थान के कालबेलिया नृत्य को विश्व के मानचित्र पर पहचान दिलाने वाली पद्मश्री गुलाबो कोरोना (Corona) संक्रमण के दौर में भी रचनात्मक एवं जनसेवा के कार्यों में जुटी हुई हैं। वे सोशल मीडिया पर डांस के माध्यम से लोगों में कोविड-19 के खिलाफ जागरूकता फैला रही हैं, वहीं गरीब लोगों को राहत सामग्री भी वितरित कर रही हैं। हालांकि गुलाबो का अतीत किसी सनसनीखेज फिल्म की कहानी कम नहीं है। जन्म लेते ही उन्हें एक गड्‍ढे में दफन कर दिया गया था, लेकिन नियति तो उनसे कुछ और ही करवाना चाहती थी। 

वेबदुनिया से खास बातचीत में गुलाबो ने न सिर्फ वर्तमान में किए जा रहे कामों पर चर्चा की बल्कि अपने अतीत के पन्नों को भी खोला। उन्होंने बताया कि लॉकडाउन के दौरान करीब 2 लाख रुपए की राहत सामग्री अपने निजी कोष से वितरित की। उन्होंने नसीराबाद, चौमूं तहसील के बंदोल ग्राम, जयपुर में पानी पेंच तथा कलाकार कॉलोनी में करीब 1000 राशन किट वितरित किए हैं। इतना ही नहीं जयपुर स्थित घर के पास किराने की दुकान से भी गरीबों को सामग्री उपलब्ध करवा रही हैं।

गुलाबो फेसबुक पर डांस के माध्यम से लोगों को कोरोना से बचने के उपाय बताती हैं। लॉकडाउन में लोगों को डांस भी सिखा रही हैं, साथ ही लोगों को मो‍टीवेट भी कर रही हैं। वे सोशल मीडिया पर डांस और संगीत के माध्यम से लोगों का मनोरंजन भी कर रही हैं। उनका कहना है कि कोरोना से डरें नहीं, कोरोना को डराओ। घर में रहकर सकारात्मक कार्यों में व्यस्त रहो। 

गुलाबो का कोरोना गीत : उन्होंने कोरोना गीत भी तैयार किया है, जो लोगों में जागरूकता फैलाने का काम कर रहा  है। गुलाबो ने वेबदुनिया से बातचीत करते हुए इस गीत को भी गुनगुनाया- अरररररर..र... मैं तो नाचूं और गाऊं, कि मैं तो नांचू और गाऊं कोरोना ने भगाऊं रे, अरररररर..र.. मैं तो हाथ धोऊं और न्हाऊं, कोरोना ने भगाऊं रे...। उन्होंने कहा कि लोग हौसला रखें, कोरोना से डरें नहीं। सेनिटाइज करते रहें, हाथ धोते रहें, सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग का पालन करें। फोन पर बात करें, वीडियो कॉल करें, लोगों के घरों पर आएं-जाएं नहीं। 

कोरोना काल में किए कार्यों के लिए सम्मान : लॉकडाउन के दौरान आपके द्वारा किए गए कार्यों के लिए हैल्पिंग हैंड  सोसायटी, ऑल इंडिया इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ पब्लिक एंड फिजिकल हैल्थ साइंस, अखिल भारतीय भ्रष्टाचार निर्मूलन संघर्ष समिति, भारतीय नमो संघ, मदर टरेसा फाउंडेशन संस्थान, संकल्प सेवा संस्थान, फिल्म एंड टीवी मीडिया एसोसिएशन, शक्ति फिल्म प्रोडक्षन सहित अनेक संस्थानों की ओर से सम्मानित किया गया। 

गुलाबो के जनसेवा के कार्यों में राजस्थानी फिल्म अभिनेत्री राखी पूनम सपेरा, फीचर ग्रुप के निदेशक दिनेश कुमार, भवानीसिंह, हेमा, रूपा, सुरेश सेरावत सहित अन्य लोगों ने भी बढ़-चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया।

गुलाबो की कहानी प्रेरक भी है और दिल दहलाने भी : वह धनतेरस का दिन था जब गुलाबो ने इस दुनिया में पहली  बार आंखें खोली थीं। राजस्थान के अजमेर जिले में कालबेलिया जनजाति में चौथी पुत्री के रूप में जन्म लेने के  तत्काल बाद माता-पिता की इच्छा के विरुद्ध समुदाय के दबाव गुलाबो को जमीन में दफन कर दिया गया। ममता ने जोर मारा और मां तथा मौसी करीब 5 घंटे बाद जमीन से निकाल लाईं और आपका जीवन बच गया। 

...और धनवंती गुलाबो बन गई : होश संभालने के बाद पिता के साथ सड़कों पर सांपों के साथ बीन की धुन पर  नाचना शुरू कर दिया। नृत्य के प्रति जुनून को देखकर पिता ने भी समुदाय की आपत्ति के बावजूद आपको प्रोत्साहित किया। एक बार स्वास्थ्य खराब हो जाने के बाद उन्हें ख्वाजा मोइनुद्दीन चिश्ती के दरबार ले जाया गया, जहां उनके ऊपर गुलाब का फूल गिरा। इसके बाद धनवंती को गुलाबो के नाम से जाना जाने लगा। 

झेला सामाजिक बहिष्कार : गुलाबो के जीवन में कई उतार-चढ़ाव भी आए। सात साल की उम्र में 1981 में पुष्कर मेले में समुदाय की महिलाओं के साथ नृत्य कर रही थीं, नृत्य को देखकर पर्यटन विभाग के अधिकारी काफी प्रभावित हुए। इसके बाद उनसे विदेशियों के एक समूह के सामने नृत्य करने की पेशकश की गई, जिसे काफी प्रशंसा मिली। हालांकि सार्वजनिक रूप से किए इस नृत्य से समुदाय के लोग काफी नाराज हुए और उनके परिवार का सामाजिक  बहिष्कार कर दिया। इसके बाद परिवार अजमेर छोड़कर जयपुर आकर रहने लगा। 

इस तरह शुरू हुआ कला का अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रदर्शन : 1985 में आप को अमेरिका के एक संस्कृतिक दल में शामिल होने का प्रस्ताव मिला। लेकिन, दल के साथ रवाना होने से एक दिन पहले ही पिता का निधन हो गया। लेकिन, पिता एवं परिवार के सपनों को साकार करने और अपने समुदाय की कला 'कालबेलिया नृत्य' को पहचान दिलाने के उद्देश्य से यूएसए के लिए उड़ान भरी। वहां नृत्य से प्रभावित होकर वॉशिंगटन में स्थायी रूप से रहने एवं वहां के लोगों नृत्य  सिखाने का प्रस्ताव भी मिला, जिसे आपने विनम्रतापूर्वक ठुकरा दिया। अमेरिका व्यापक प्रदर्शन से राजस्थान की लोक विरासत के एम्बेसेडर के रूप में भी आपको मान्यता दिलाई। गुलाबो 153 देशों में आयोजित विभिन्न उत्सवों, कार्यक्रमों में अपनी कला का प्रदर्शन कर चुकी हैं। 

राजीव गांधी ने बंधवाई राखी : भारत के तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी ने आपकी कला का सम्मान किया एवं इसे और विस्तृत रूप देने के लिए प्रोत्साहित भी किया। उन्होंने आपसे अपनी कलाई पर राखी भी बंधवाई। इस प्रकार गांधी परिवार से आपके पारिवारिक संबंध भी स्थापित हो गए।
