कोरोनाकाल में मध्यप्रदेश में यूनिवर्सिटी और कॉलेज के फाइनल ईयर के स्टूडेंट अब अपने घर बैठकर की परीक्षा दे सकेंगे। स्नातक अंतिम वर्ष एवं स्नातकोत्तर चतुर्थ सेमेस्टर के छात्र-छात्राओं की परीक्षा ओपन बुक प्रणाली से कराने का फैसला प्रदेश सरकार ने किया है। इसके लिए छात्र-छात्राओं को उनके लॉगिन आईडी तथा निर्धारित वेबसाइट पर प्रश्नपत्र ऑनलाइन उपलब्ध कराए जाएंगे, जिसका उत्तर परीक्षार्थी अपने घर में बैठकर लिख सकेंगे।
परीक्षार्थी को अपनी उत्तर पुस्तिका संग्रहण केन्द्र में जमा करना होगी। इसके लिये हजारों की संख्या में संग्रहण केन्द्र स्थापित किए जा रहे हैं। उत्तर पुस्तिका जमा करने के लिये परीक्षार्थी के पास दो विकल्प और होंगे, जिसमें डाक और ई-मेल से भी उत्तर पुस्तिका भेजने की सुविधा होगी। इन छात्र-छात्राओं को गत वर्षो के प्राप्तांकों का 50 प्रतिशत वेटेज तथा ओपन बुक परीक्षा के प्राप्ताकों का 50 प्रतिशत वेटेज देते हुए स्नातक अंतिम वर्ष एवं स्नातकोत्तर चतुर्थ सेमेस्टर के परीक्षा परिणाम घोषित किए जाएंगे। ओपन बुक प्रणाली से परीक्षाएं सितम्बर माह होगी और अक्टूबर में परिणाम घोषित किए जाएंगे। स्नातक अंतिम वर्ष एवं स्नातकोत्तर चतुर्थ सेमेस्टर की परीक्षा में 5.71 लाख छात्र-छात्राएँ शामिल होंगे।

मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने इस फैसले को सही ठहराते हुए कहा कि विद्यार्थियों को जनरल प्रमोशन देने पर उनकी फायनल डिग्री पर हमेशा सवाल उठाये जाते हैं, इसलिये ओपन बुक प्रणाली से परीक्षा लेने का निर्णय लिया गया है। सरकार फाइनल ईयर के अलावा अन्य स्टूडेंट के जनरल प्रमोशन का निर्णय पहले ही ले चुकी है।
तकनीकी पाठ्यक्रमों की परीक्षा ऑनलाइन – वहीं तकनीकी पाठ्यक्रमों की अंतिम वर्ष की परीक्षाएँ ऑनलाइन मोड पर 24 अगस्त से आयोजित होंगी। बी.ई. की सैद्धांतिक परीक्षाएँ 24, 26, 28 एवं 31 अगस्त को आयोजित होगी। बी.फर्मिसी की सैद्धांतिक परीक्षाएँ 24, 26, 28 एवं 31 अगस्त एवं 2 सितम्बर को होंगी। इन विषयों की प्रायोगिक परीक्षाएँ 4 सितम्बर से 9 सितम्बर के मध्य होंगी। डिप्लोमा कोसर्स की सैद्धांतिक परीक्षाएँ 27 अगस्त से 7 सितम्बर और प्रायोगिक परीक्षाएँ 8 सितम्बर से 14 सितम्बर तक होंगी।
जो छात्र ऑनलाइन परीक्षा में सम्मिलित नहीं हो सकेंगे उनके लिए बाद में विशेष परीक्षा 15 से 23 सितम्बर के मध्य आयोजित की जायेगी। शैक्षणिक सत्र 2020-21 के सेमेस्टर 3,5 एवं 7 तक के विद्यार्थियों की नियमित ऑनलाइन कक्षाएं 17 अगस्त 2020 तथा सत्र 2021 के प्रथम सेमेस्टर के छात्रों की कक्षाएँ 15 अक्टूबर 2020 से प्रारम्भ होंगी।
