'स्त्री' फिल्म अलग तरह की हॉरर कॉमेडी फिल्म है : राजकुमार राव

राजकुमार राव इन दिनों अपनी रिलीज के लिए तैयार फिल्म 'स्त्री' के प्रमोशन में जुटे हैं। हॉरर कॉमेडी 'स्त्री' में राजकुमार के साथ श्रद्धा कपूर मुख्य भूमिका में हैं। यह फिल्म 31 अगस्त को देशभर के सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज होगी। इस फिल्म का निर्देशन नए-नवेले निर्देशक अमर कौशिक ने किया है और फिल्म के निर्माता दिनेश विजन हैं।

'स्त्री' फिल्म की शूटिंग चंदेरी में हुई है?

चंदेरी बहुत प्यारा-सा छोटा-सा कस्बा है, जहां पहले कभी फिल्म की शूटिंग नहीं हुई। महाभारत काल से ही इस जगह का ऐतिहासिक महत्व भी है। फिल्म में हर चीज एक नए परिवेश-सी दिखेगी। वहां कई पुराने किले भी हैं और साथ ही वहां की गलियां भी अलग-सी हैं तो फिल्म में वहां के माहौल के हिसाब से नयापन मिलेगा। मैं जब वहां गया तो अपने किरदार की तैयारी के लिए वहां के लोकल लोगों से भी मिला और उनसे बात की। चंदेरी ने जो प्यार दिया है उसकी वजह से वहां के लोगों से मुझे हमेशा-हमेशा के लिए लगाव हो गया है। फिल्म में आपको चंदेरी के लोकल लोग भी देखने को मिलेंगे।

मुंबई का स्ट्रगल कैसा रहा?

जब मैं बड़ा हो रहा था, तब शाहरुख सर को देखकर काफी हैरान होता था। मैं हैरान होता था ये सोचकर कि अगर बाहर से आकर कोई अपना इतना बड़ा नाम बना सकता है, तो मेरे लिए भी कोई उम्मीद तो जरूर है। हालांकि ये सब कुछ इतना आसान नहीं था। मुंबई आने के बाद मुझे काफी समय तक कोई काम नहीं मिला। यहां-वहां कुछ छोटे-मोटे एड ही करता रहा। वो एड शायद अब आपको याद भी नहीं आएंगे। किसी-किसी एड में दिखने वाला मैं 10वां शख्स होता था। हर महीने किसी तरह मैं 10 हजार रुपए कमा पाता था। फिर भी कुछ दिन तो ऐसे होते थे, जब मेरे पास पैसे ही नहीं होते थे तब मैं अपने दोस्तों के साथ उनका खाना शेयर करता था। मेरे पास कोई प्लान भी नहीं था। मैं लगातार ऑडिशन देता जा रहा था। ऑडिशन लेने वाले लोग मुझे छोटे-छोटे रोल दे देते थे और मैं उन्हें बड़े रोल के लिए मनाने की कोशिश करता था, लेकिन कोई मानता नहीं था। फिर भी मुझे भरोसा था कि कोई न कोई मेरा टैलेंट जरूर परखेगा।

मुझे आज भी याद है कि किस तरह मैं अतुल मोंगिया से लगातार पूछता रहा था, जब तक कि उन्होंने मुझे 'लव, सेक्स और धोखा' के ऑडिशन के लिए नहीं बुला लिया। मैंने 3-4 टेस्ट दिए। एक हफ्ता निकल गया, लेकिन कोई जवाब नहीं आया और फिर वो दिन भी आया, जब मेरे अब तक किए हुए स्ट्रगल का नतीजा मुझे मिला।

मैं घर पर अकेला था, जब मुझे मेरी जिंदगी का सबसे अहम फोन आया। वो शब्द थे- 'हो गया है। यू गॉट द फिल्म।' मैं अपने घुटनों पर गिर गया। सबसे पहले मम्मी को फोन किया। फिल्म रिलीज हुई और मुझे बहुत प्यार मिला। लेकिन मेरे लिए और भी ज्यादा खास पल तब आया, जब 'क्वीन' रिलीज हुई। मैं महबूब स्टूडियो में शूटिंग कर रहा था। मैंने सुना कि शाहरुख खान सर भी वहीं शूटिंग कर रहे हैं। मुझे लगा कि मेरे पास मौका है, मैं उनसे मिल सकता हूं। मैंने उन्हें एक मैसेज भेजा। मुझे नहीं लगता था कि वो मुझे जानते हैं। लेकिन उन्होंने मुझे बुलाया और वो मेरे बारे में सब कुछ जानते थे। उन्होंने मुझे काफी स्पेशल फील कराया। मैं तो पहले से ही उनका फैन था। लेकिन उस दिन मैं उनका और भी बड़ा फैन बन गया।

जान्हवी की फिल्म देखी आपने?

मैंने जाह्नवी की फिल्म 'धड़क' देखी है। मुझे यह फिल्म बहुत पसंद आई। मैं जाह्नवी से एक-दो बार मिला हूं। वह बहुत ही स्वीट और टैलेंटेड लड़की है। मैं श्रीदेवीजी का बहुत बड़ा फैन रहा हूं। जाह्नवी से मेरा कनेक्शन भी है, काफी समय से मैं उनसे मिलता आ रहा हूं। 'धड़क' में उनका अभिनय देखकर ऐसा लगता है कि उनका बहुत ही ब्राइट फ्यूचर है। मैं इंतजार कर रहा हूं कि हम दोनों साथ में जल्द ही कुछ काम करेंगे।

श्रद्धा बिलकुल सही कास्टिंग है इस फिल्म के लिए। पहली बात तो वे बहुत मेहनती हैं। फिल्म में वे स्माल टाउन वाली लड़की के किरदार में पूरी तरह ढली नजर आएंगी। खास बात यह है कि उन्होंने इस किरदार के लिए काफी नई चीजें ट्राई की हैं, जैसे उनकी आवाज और बॉडी लैंग्वेज में आपको बहुत नयापन मिलेगा।

अपार शक्ति खुराना और अभिषेक बनर्जी के साथ भी आप काम कर रहे हैं, तो कैसा रहा अनुभव इन नए कलाकारों के साथ?

न सिर्फ अपारशक्ति या अभिषेक बल्कि पंकज त्रिपाठीजी और विजय राज सर के साथ काम करके भी मजा आया। अच्छे एक्टर आपके साथ हों तो काम करने का मजा दोगुना हो जाता है।

आपकी कोई फिल्म जिसकी सीक्वल बनाई जा सके?

बहुत-सी फिल्में हैं तथा सबसे पहले तो 'न्यूटन' ही है जिसके मूल आइडिया को लेकर किसी और विभाग और उसकी व्यवस्था पर बेहतरीन कहानी कही जा सकती है, साथ ही 'शाहिद' फिल्म की दूसरी कड़ी किसी और एक्टिविस्ट की जिंदगी पर बनाई जा सकती है। 'बरेली की बर्फी' में जो मेरा किरदार है प्रीतम विद्रोही, उस किरदार को लेकर दिलचस्प कहानी कही जा सकती है। मैं इस बारे में अपनी राय फिल्मकारों को भी देता रहता हूं। उम्मीद कीजिए कि भविष्य में ऐसा कुछ हो।

आने वाली फिल्में कौन-कौन सी हैं?

'स्त्री' के बाद मेरी अगली फिल्म 'एक लड़की को देखा तो ऐसा लगा' है, जो फरवरी में आएगी। अनिल सर, जूही चावला और सोनम कपूर हैं मेरे साथ उसमें। उसके बाद कंगना के साथ 'मेंटल है क्या' आएगी। फिलहाल मैंने एक नई फिल्म 'मेड इन चाइना' शुरू की है तो वो भी पाइपलाइन में है। अनुराग बासु की 'इमली' कर रहा हूं जिसमें मेरे साथ एक बार फिर कंगना रनौट नजर आएंगी।
