ब्रिटेन में इस साल हुए आतंकी हमलों के बाद अब अख़बारों और सोशल मीडिया की चरमपंथी सामग्री पर नज़र रखी जा रही है। इस दौरान चरमपंथ को समर्थन और बढ़ावा देने वाले कई उर्दू अख़बार और टीवी चैनल मिले हैं। अब ब्रिटेन सरकार और सुरक्षा एजेंसियों की इन पर नज़र है।
लंदन के पार्सन्स ग्रीन ट्यूब स्टेशन पर पिछले महीने हुआ हमला इस साल ब्रिटेन में हुआ छठा चरमपंथी हमला था। इसके ठीक बाद सुरक्षा एजेंसियों ने इसके गुनहगारों की तलाश शुरू कर दी और ये तलाश उन्हें डिजिटल दुनिया तक ले गई।
'इस्लाम का योद्धा'
इसके एक हफ़्ते बाद ब्रिटेन की प्रधानमंत्री टेरीज़ा मे ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र में आतंक के विरूद्ध लड़ाई में नए संचार माध्यमों की भूमिका का मुद्दा उठाया। उन्होंने कहा था, "हमें इंटरनेट पर मौजूद आतंकवादी सामग्री को आगे बढ़कर और तेज़ गति से हटाने की ज़रूरत है।"
इधर पूर्वी लंदन में सुबह-सुबह न्यूज़ एजेंट के पास जो अख़बार आते हैं उनमें 'डेली ऑसाफ़' भी होता है। उर्दू का ये अख़बार पाकिस्तान से निकलता है। इस अख़बार ने हाल ही में ओसामा बिन लादेन और मुल्ला उमर जैसे चरमपंथियों को श्रद्धांजलि दी और उन्हें 'इस्लाम का योद्धा' तक कहा।
बरसों से छप रहे हैं ये अख़बार
यही नहीं मुफ़्त उपलब्ध अख़बार 'नवा-ए-जंग' में तो दूसरे धर्म के लोगों का बहिष्कार करने वाले विज्ञापन दिए गए। उर्दू अख़बार डेली ऑसाफ़ ने बताया कि उनके संपादकीय मूल्यों का आधार शांति और एकता है, और उन्होंने हाल ही में अपने दो कर्मचारियों को यह भरोसा तोड़ने की वजह से निकाल दिया।

बीबीसी संवादादता साजिद इक़बाल बताते हैं कि ये दोनों अख़बार लंदन में काफी समय से छप रहे हैं। 'डेली ऑसाफ़' एक दैनिक अख़बार है और वह 2002 से छप रहा है। दूसरा अख़बार 'नवा-ए-जंग' साप्ताहिक है और वह भी 2003 से छप रहा है।
अब तक क्यों नहीं पड़ी नज़र?
इन अख़बारों की सामग्री पर अब तक ब्रिटिश सरकार की नज़र क्यों नहीं पड़ी, इस पर लंदन में मौजूद बीबीसी संवादादता साजिद इक़बाल कहते हैं, "एक तो यह ज़ुबान का मसला है क्योंकि दोनों अख़बार उर्दू में छपते हैं। दूसरा ब्रिटेन में प्रेस पर नज़र रखने वाली दो इकाइयां हैं- इम्प्रेस और इप्सो है।"
वो कहते हैं, "दोनों की सदस्यता लेना स्वैच्छिक है, अनिवार्य नहीं है। मीडिया की स्वतंत्रता की आवाज़ यहां बहुत मज़बूत है और इसी वजह से इन अख़बारों की सामग्री पर अब तक इस तरह नहीं देखा गया।"
पर सिर्फ अख़बार ही नहीं, टीवी चैनलों पर भी विदेशी भाषाओं में चरमपंथ को बढ़ावा देने वाली सामग्रियां परोसी जा रही हैं। साजिद इक़बाल बताते हैं कि उन्होंने लंदन में अलग-अलग कम्युनिटी सेंटर और समूहों से बात की और उन्होंने इस सामग्री की निंदा की और कहा कि सरकार को इस पर पाबंदी लगानी चाहिए और मीडिया की आज़ादी के नाम पर इसकी इजाज़त नहीं देनी चाहिए।
एक चैनल पर भी लगा था जुर्माना
इस साल ब्रिटेन के एक सैटेलाइट चैनल नूर टीवी पर जुर्माना लगाया गया था जब चैनल पर एक वक्ता ने बार-बार यहूदियों के ख़िलाफ बातें कहीं।
ब्रिटेन सरकार ने कहा है कि वो चरपंथ से निपटने की तैयारी कर रही है। पर इन सबके बीच ऐसी सामग्रियां मस्जिदों और सामुदायिक भवनों में आराम से मिल रही हैं। और ये ग़लत हाथों में ना लग जाएं इसे रोकने का फिलहाल कोई तरीका मौजूद नहीं है।
