'तू पाब्लो एस्कोबार को जानता है? क्या यार! नेटफ्लिक्स पर 'नारकोस' देख न। एक बार देखने बैठेगा न तो पूरा देखकर ही उठेगा।' ऐसी बातें शायद आपने कहीं न कहीं सुनी होंगी। 'पूरा देखकर ही उठेंगे' लत अब तेजी से उन लोगों में फ़ैल रही है जो धीरे-धीरे वर्चुअल दुनिया के क़रीब और इंसानों और मनोरंजन के पुराने तरीकों से दूर होते जा रहे हैं।
वर्चुअल यानी आभासी दुनिया जो आपको एक ऐसी जगह ले जाती है जिसका हक़ीक़त से नाता नहीं होता। मगर आपको वहां असल दुनिया से ज़्यादा सुख मिलता है। मोबाइल, लैपटॉप से लेकर टीवी की स्क्रीन को देखते रहने की लत भी इसी पेड़ की ऐसी शाखा है जिसमें आज की पीढ़ी झूला डालकर झूल रही है और खुश हो रही है।
बंगलुरु में 23 साल का एक लड़का ऑनलाइन स्ट्रीमिंग वेबसाइट की लत का ऐसा शिकार हुआ कि अब उसका वक़्त नेटफ्लिक्स, अमेजॉन, यू-ट्यूब सिरीज़ या वीडियो गेम में नहीं इलाज करवाने में बीत रहा है।
इस लड़के का इलाज नेशनल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मेंटल हेल्थ एंड न्यूरोसाइंसेस (NIMHANS) में बीते दो हफ़्तों से चल रहा है। ये लड़का दिन-रात नेटफ्लिक्स में कुछ न कुछ देखता रहता था। वजह- असल ज़िंदगी की परेशानियों से दूर रहना और वर्चुअल सुख को सच मानना।
ये लड़का कैसे हुआ नेटफ्लिक्स का शिकार?
NIMHANS में इस लड़के का इलाज करने वाले डॉक्टर मनोज कुमार शर्मा ने बीबीसी हिंदी से इस बारे में ख़ास बातचीत की। हालांकि इस लड़के से हमारा संपर्क नहीं हो पाया।
डॉक्टर मनोज बताते हैं, ''इस लड़के का गेमिंग पर तो कंट्रोल है, लेकिन ऑनलाइन शो देखते हुए काफ़ी वक़्त बीत जाता है। वक़्त की उपलब्धता और शो की वजह से तनावमुक्त रहने की सुविधा के चलते वो कोशिश करता कि सारा वक़्त यहीं बिता दे। मना करने पर चिड़चिड़ापना दिखाता है और अपने आप में रहते हुए इसने परिवार से बात करना कम कर दिया था।''

ऐसे में इन परेशानियों से ध्यान हटाने के लिए भी लोग अब ऑनलाइन स्ट्रीमिंग वेबसाइट्स की तरफ बढ़ रहे हैं। जयपुर के अक्षय भी ऑनलाइन स्ट्रीमिंग वेबसाइट्स पर अच्छा ख़ासा वक़्त गुज़ारते हैं।
इन वेबसाइट्स में रुचि को लेकर अक्षय कहते हैं, ''इसमें वक़्त की कोई पाबंदी नहीं होती है। जब चाहे, तब देखो। इनका फ़ायदा ये है कि अगर आपका राजा बाबू देखने का मन करे और उस वक़्त बैंडिट क्वीन देखने को मिले तो नहीं देखूंगा। मूड के हिसाब से कंटेंट भी बदलता रहता है। भीड़ में भीड़ से दूर रहना हो तो ये एक साथी जैसा काम करता है।''
ऑनलाइन एडिक्शन (लत) के लक्षण क्या हैं?
डॉक्टर मनोज कहते हैं, ''अगर कोई स्क्रीन के सामने लंबा वक़्त बिता रहा है तो ये एक बड़ा लक्षण है। हमारे यहां जो केस आए हैं, वो 6-7 घंटे स्क्रीन के सामने बैठने के हैं। लेकिन ऐसे भी लोग हैं जो 14-15 घंटे ऑनलाइन वेबसाइट्स को लगातार देखते हैं।''
NIMHANS का मानना है कि एक पहलू ये भी है कि लोग ऑनलाइन स्ट्रीमिंग को सच और असल दुनिया को झूठा मानने लगते हैं। इससे एजुकेशन और शिक्षा पर भी असर होता है।
आंकड़े किस ओर इशारा करते हैं?
नेटफ्लिक्स के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक़, 2017 में इस वेबसाइट पर एक दिन में लोगों ने कुल 140 मिलियन घंटे बिताए। नेटफ्लिक्स का एक सब्सक्राइबर औसतन इस साइट पर रोज़ 50 मिनट गुज़ारता है। नेटफ्लिक्स ने 2017 में साल के आख़िर में 117 मिलियन सब्सक्राइबर का लक्ष्य रखा था।
स्टेटिस्टा के मुताबिक़, अमेजॉन प्राइम वीडियो के 2017 में 40 मिलियन सब्सक्राइबर थे। अनुमान है कि 2020 में तादाद 60 मिलियन यूज़र से ज़्यादा होगी। सीएनबीसी की एक ख़बर के मुताबिक, अमेजॉन प्राइम वीडियो में औसतन हर हफ्ते एक यूजर 5 घंटे गुज़ारता है जबकि नेटफ्लिक्स पर 10 घंटे।

इस बीमारी का इलाज क्या है?
इस सवाल के जवाब में डॉक्टर मनोज ने कहा, ''हमें सबसे पहले ये मानना होगा कि कुछ लोग मानसिक, व्यावहारिक कारणों से ऐसा करते हैं तो उनमें ज़्यादा देख लिया जाता है। लेकिन कुछ लोग खाली वक़्त में ये शो देखने लगते हैं। सबसे पहले ऐसी किसी भी आदत की पहचान करना ज़रूरी है। जैसे पांच-छह मिनट में स्क्रीन की तरफ़ जाए बिना खुद को रोक न सकें।''

*अपने आप को रोकने की कोशिश करें
*सोते वक्त की ऑनलाइन एक्टिविटी को दूर करें, जैसे - मोबाइल से लेकर लैपटॉप में कुछ देखना
*अगर इन कोशिशों के बाद भी असर न हो तो डॉक्टर के पास जाएं
*ऑफ़लाइन मनोरंजन के साधनों की तरफ फिर लौटना होगा।
NIMHANS में डॉक्टर मनोज शर्मा ने कहा, ''डॉक्टर के पास जाने का ये फ़ायदा होगा कि वो आपकी लाइफस्टाइल पर भी काम करेगा। अगर सरकारी अस्पताल में इलाज करवाएं तो एक अपॉइंटमेंट में क़रीब 100 रुपये लगते हैं। लेकिन प्राइवेट सेटअप में 500 से हज़ार रुपये तक लग सकते हैं।''
स्क्रीन की लत: क्या वाक़ई बड़ी समस्या?
बंगलुरु के NIMHANS अस्पताल में तकरीबन हर हफ़्ते 8 से 10 ऐसे मामले आ रहे हैं। इसमें ऑनलाइन गेमिंग भी शामिल है।
टीवी की बजाय नेटफ्लिक्स को तरजीह क्यों?
डॉक्टर मनोज ने कहा, ''कौन किस वक़्त किस तरह से स्क्रीन देख रहा है ये उनके चुनाव पर निर्भर करता है। फिर चाहे टीवी हो, ऑनलाइन वेबसाइट्स हों या मोबाइल गेमिंग, जहां एक्शन होता है। लेकिन यही लोग जब नेटफ्लिक्स जैसी जगह पर जाते हैं तो आराम के लिए जाते हैं।''
दिल्ली में पढ़ाई कर रही मोनिका भी नेटफ्लिक्स देखती हैं। अपनी दिलचस्पी के बारे में वो कहती हैं, ''जब आप मुझसे बात कर रहे हैं, तब भी मैं 'द पनिशर' देख रही हूं। इन साइट्स में कुछ देखने की सबसे अच्छी बात ये है कि आप एक साथ सारे एपिसोड देख सकते हैं। एचबीओ की सिरीज़ गेम ऑफ थ्रोन्स या टीवी की तरह आपको महीनों तक इंतज़ार नहीं करना होता है। लेकिन पूरी सिरीज़ एक बार में मिल जाने से दर्शकों की जो बेचैनी होती है, वो नहीं होती।''
अक्षय कहते हैं, ''टीवी में अगर कहीं रोने का सीन आने वाला है और माहौल बन रहा है तो टीवी का विज्ञापन उस माहौल को तोड़ देता है। ऑनलाइन स्ट्रीमिंग वेबसाइट्स में ऐसा नहीं है।'' अक्षय ने बताया कि अगर सिरीज़ अच्छी है या अवसाद वाले दिन हैं तो 5 से लेकर 10 घंटे तक भी साइट्स पर वक़्त गुज़रता है।
क्या ये समस्या सिर्फ़ भारत तक है?
बाहर के देशों में ऑनलाइन गेमिंग को मेंटल हेल्थ कंडीशन मान लिया गया है। विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन ने गेमिंग को डिसॉर्डर माना है। इसमें सिर्फ़ ऑनलाइन वेबसाइट्स ही नहीं, सोशल मीडिया भी शामिल है। डॉक्टर मनोज बताते हैं कि बाहर के देशों में भारत की तरह इस पर रिसर्च हो रही है।
