भारत दौरे पर आए इसराइल के प्रधानमंत्री बिन्यामिन नेतन्याहू और प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की दोस्ती की खूब चर्चा हो रही है। नेतन्याहू ने इस दौरे में मोदी को एक तोहफ़ा भी दिया।
इसराइली प्रधानमंत्री ने अहमदाबाद में एक कार्यक्रम के दौरान प्रधानमंत्री मोदी को एक जीप भेंट की। ये जीप कोई आम जीप नहीं है, बल्कि मोबाइल वॉटर ट्रीटमेंट जीप है। इसकी मदद से समंदर के खारे पानी को मीठा और गंदे पानी को साफ़ कर पीने लायक बनाया जा सकता है।
प्रधानमंत्री ने इस खास जीप को भारत-पाक सीमा पर स्थित बनासकांठा जिले के सुइगाम गांव के लोगों को समर्पित कर दिया। इस जीप के ज़रिए कैसे खारे पानी को मीठा किया जाता है, ये भी सुइगाम गांव से सीधे वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग से दिखाया गया।
इस मौके पर प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने कहा, "पिछले साल, जब मैं इसराइल दौरे पर गया था तो मुझे एक वाहन दिखाया गया था। ये वाहन गंदे पानी को साफ कर सकता था। वही वाहन प्रधानमंत्री नेतन्याहू ने मुझे तोहफे में दिया है।"
प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने इस खास भेंट के लिए देश के लोगों की तरफ से इसराइली प्रधानमंत्री का शुक्रिया अदा किया।

सीमावर्ती सुइगाम को मिलेगा साफ पानी
इस जीप का इस्तेमाल सीमा से लगने वाले सुइगाम के लोगों और वहां तैनात सेना के जवानों को साफ पानी मुहैया कराने के लिए किया जाएगा। इस जीप की कीमत करीब 1,11,000 अमेरिकी डॉलर है। इसे प्राकृतिक आपदा वाली जगहों पर जैसे बाढ़, भूकंप और मुश्किल स्थितियों में काम कर रही सेना को साफ पानी देने के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जाता है।
इस जीप को उच्च गुणवत्ता वाला पीने लायक पानी प्यूरीफाई करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है। ये एक दिन में 20,000 लीटर समुद्र के खारे पानी और 80,000 लीटर गंदे या दूषित पानी को साफ करने में सक्षम है। इसके द्वारा साफ किया पानी विश्व स्वास्थ संगठनों के मानकों के मुताबिक होता है।

इस गेल मोबाइल जल शोधन वाहन का निर्माण इसराइल में किया जाता है। ये वाहन इंडिपेंडेंट और ऑटोमेटिक तरीके से काम करता है। ये बहुत ही हाल्का है। 1540 किलो वज़न की इस जीप को आसानी से कहीं भी ले जाया जा सकता है।
इसे किसी भी संभावित जल स्रोत जैसे नदियां, झीलें, महासागर, कुओं, अत्यधिक जलमग्न स्रोत से जोड़ा जा सकता है। इसे दो लोग तीस मिनट से भी कम समय में शुरू कर सकते हैं। ये एडवांस कंट्रोल सिस्टम पर काम करता है और किसी भी मौसम में काम करने में सक्षम है।
इसमें एक वक्त में कम से कम एक हज़ार लीटर तक पानी रखा जा सकता है। इसके लिए ज्यादा बिजली की आवश्यकता नहीं होती। सिर्फ 12 वोल्ट पर काम कर सकता है।
