"मेरा बेटा तिरंगा यात्रा निकाल रहा था, कोई गुंडागर्दी नहीं कर रहा था"
कासगंज में तिरंगा यात्रा के दौरान हुई हिंसा में मारे गए अभिषेक उर्फ़ चंदन गुप्ता के पिता सुशील गुप्ता बेटे को याद करते हुए पहले तो रो पड़ते हैं, उसके बाद उनका आक्रोश फूट पड़ता है, "क्या तिरंगे के सम्मान का इनाम गोली और मौत है। यदि ऐसा है तो मुझे भी गोली मार दो।"
सुशील गुप्ता का बीस वर्षीय छोटा बेटा चंदन बीकॉम की पढ़ाई कर रहा था। वो बताते हैं, "होनहार बेटा था मेरा, हमेशा दूसरों के सुख-दुख में साथ देता था। पढ़ाई में भी अच्छा था।... चंदन गुप्ता उन तमाम युवकों में से एक था जो 26 जनवरी को तिरंगा यात्रा निकाल रहे थे। चंदन के साथ जुलूस में शामिल कई युवकों से हमने चंदन के बारे में बात की।
अक्सर रक्तदान करते थे...
चंदन के बारे में और यात्रा के दौरान क्या हुआ, इस बारे में ये लोग तमाम जानकारियां दे रहे हैं लेकिन सामने आकर नहीं। यानी कोई भी अपना नाम ज़ाहिर नहीं करना चाहता।
चंदन के मोहल्ले गली शिवालय का ही रहने वाला बीस वर्षीय एक युवक मोबाइल पर चंदन के साथ उसकी तस्वीर दिखाते हुए चंदन को याद करने वाले, "चंदन और हम लोग कई साल से साथ रहते हैं। चंदन पढ़ने में तो बहुत अच्छा नहीं था लेकिन सामाजिक कामों में बढ़-चढ़कर हिस्सा लेता था। हम लोग अक्सर रक्तदान करते थे और किसी को भी ज़रूरत पर तुरंत ब्लड की व्यवस्था करते थे।"
युवक के पास ऐसे सामाजिक कार्यों से संबंधित कुछ तस्वीरें और पेपर कटिंग्स भी थीं।
सामाजिक कार्यों में दिलचस्पी
युवक के मुताबिक चंदन पढ़ाई में तो बहुत अच्छा नहीं था लेकिन चंदन के घर के बाहर उनके पिता के साथ बैठे लोगों के मुताबिक वो पढ़ने में भी होशियार था। हां, सामाजिक कार्यों में उसकी दिलचस्पी की तारीफ़ ये लोग भी करते हैं। तिरंगा यात्रा हर साल निकाली जाती था या सिर्फ़ इसी बार, इस सवाल के जवाब चंदन के साथियों और उनके मोहल्ले वाले भी एक राय नहीं हैं।

कोई कहता है कि दो साल से, कोई कहता है कि पिछले कई साल से और कुछ ये भी कहते हैं कि ये पहली बार निकली थी, लेकिन जिस बड्डूनगर के जिस इलाक़े में जाने से तनाव पैदा हुआ, वहां ये यात्रा पहली बार ही गई थी, इस पर लगभग सभी एकमत हैं।
सामाजिक सौहार्द का मामला
चंदन के साथ तिरंगा यात्रा में शामिल एक अन्य युवक बताता है, "इस बार हम लोगों को लगा कि अपनी सरकार है, हिन्दुओं की सरकार है, इसलिए हमें प्रशासन का सपोर्ट मिलेगा। लेकिन हमें उन लोगों ने भी मारा और बाद में प्रशासन ने भी हमारे ऊपर ही लाठीचार्ज किया।"
चंदन के जानने वालों के मुताबिक वो इस यात्रा में सिर्फ़ इसलिए शामिल हुआ कि ये देशप्रेम और सामाजिक सौहार्द का मामला था और ऐसे कामों मे उसकी दिलचस्पी थी।
गली शिवालय मोहल्ले में चंदन के पड़ोसी देवी प्रसाद बताते हैं, "मोहल्ले में कभी उसे किसी ने इधर-उधर के कामों में नहीं देखा। झगड़ा-फ़साद तो कभी करता ही नहीं था। उल्टे सभी लड़कों को रक्तदान और श्रमदान जैसे कामों के लिए उत्साहित करता था। हमारे मोहल्ले की शान था वो।"
तिरंगा यात्रा
चंदन और उसके साथी संकल्प नाम के एक संगठन के साथ भी काम करते थे लेकिन चंदन के पिता के मुताबिक वो किसी संगठन में सक्रिय और आधिकारिक रूप से नहीं जुड़ा था। जहां तक तिरंगा यात्रा का कथित तौर पर आयोजन करने वाले एबीवीपी का सवाल है तो ख़ुद एबीवीपी ने भी इससे इनकार किया है और चंदन के घर वालों का भी कहना है कि वो एबीवीपी में नहीं था।
हालांकि चंदन के दोस्त इस बात से इनकार करते हैं। दोस्तों के मुताबिक वो एबीवीपी और विश्व हिन्दू परिषद के सामाजिक और धार्मिक कार्यों में भी बढ़-चढ़कर हिस्सा लेता था। दोस्तों के मुताबिक इन कार्यक्रमों में ये सब भी उसके साथ ही रहते थे।
